Best place to buy books. Real old-school.. I bought some cds since I don't read so good!!!! A fun time for treasure hunting. You will walk out with something good.

So much variety in this huge store. There are new additions to the racks every time I visit. There is always something to find and the prices are great!

Owner is a very nice guy. Good selection of old records. Don't go in expecting anything new (80s and earlier). I think when he re-stocks, he just brings in another stack from home. However it's fun to browse and dig.

Make Tahoe Records has a pop-up in here occasionally which is worth a look. A small collection of new records!

Awesome store - owner is also great, he was kind enough to give us some boxes to ship our records home instead of trying our luck by putting them in checked baggage. Found some really great vinyl here, will happily come back next time we're around.

Great little place with a huge selection of older vinyls and books. Was able to find some nice books there and would advise to make some time to search a bit.

I love Keynote books! Great selection of really quality used books. Local guidebooks and local history books, classics, lots of treasures to find. This is the locals' favorite spot. Best bookstore in town.

I LOVE this bookstore. I'm here visiting my parents and they said there wasn't a single bookstore in town. Imagine how happy I was when I found this one! The books are a touch higher than if you bought them online, but it's worth it to not have to pay shipping or wait for them to be delivered. Some books are in fantastic condition and others are definitely used. But if you're willing to spend some time looking around, I guarantee you'll find something awesome. The first time I went there I left with EIGHT books for $40. Absolutely awesome deal.

Great selection of r&b and soul 45s as well as jazz lps. Found some amazing vinyl that I can't wait to listen to. Process are great and I highly recommend stopping in.

Ray is the best. His taste in music & books soothes my soul. I would highly recommend visiting him next time u need a new record, tape or book! Have some lunch an Jaliscos while you're there

What an incredibly special and unique place. It is a shrine to all that is good 😜 used books and records. Every nook and cranny is full of new discoveries. Appreciated the thoughtfulness regarding safety. Will come again and refer many others as long as it exists.

Nice selection of records, but a better selection of used books. In addition to reasonably priced paperbacks and hardbacks, the owner has a few first editions that are nice.

Don’t know how people can say there’s no selection here. You can literally find a book on anything. Seems like someone in the reviews section has some entitlement issues...don’t let that sway you. One of the best used book stores around, without a doubt!

My wife and I could spend hours in there. He has a great selection of books. Very helpful finding rare books.

A great little shop that had some cool items for reasonable prices and I thought the person working at the time was very friendly and helpful! If you love to dig and you find yourself in South Lake Tahoe, drop by!

Fantastic book and record store with a really diverse and rare selection. Found an old HG Wells book I've never seen anywhere else.
