Lil' Dutch Bakery

Our experience was great! The staff was gracious in accommodating our group, Brit and Katie. The area was clean. Our server Katie was very attentive, even with other tables to serve. The food came out without a problem. The cook(s) did well! (We had break and lunch items) I’m looking forward to return. (I was hesitant because of the 2 star rating, but I believe whatever the issues were that they were taken care of).

This place is exactly what was needed in Grovetown. Lil Dutch is perfect for getting homemade from scratch baked goods that actually taste like actual ingredients and not a chemical plant.
For a quick sweet breakfast solution they have cinnamon rolls, raisin rolls, cream cheese rolls, and select seasonal roll (lemon cream cheese today).
In the mood for savory, they have a ham and cheese roll that fits the bill.
The cupcakes are equal quality with time and effort put in that make them stand out from the everyday bakery items from your local grocery. The frosting in the cookies and cream cupcake actually tastes like cookies and cream.
With a new corporate franchise popping up everywhere in Grovetown, Lil Dutch Bakery is the much needed breath of fresh baked air!

I just have to express how amazing the key lime cake at Lil Dutch Bakery is. I bought a slice today and it is the best lime cake that I have ever tasted. So, if you like limes and happen to be near their establishment, I highly recommend it. The color is beautiful, so I was quite surprised at the fresh lime flavor.

Everything is delicious, but the chess bars are our family's favorite!!

Simple place, but great varieties of sticky buns!

Ordered a few cupcakes to go after grabbing some food from the grill. The two shops are connected inside with a central checkout area. The girl at the grill was friendly. The guy who checked me out at the bakery, not so much. He didn't really want to answer my questions, so i just got a few things and went on my way. The cupcakes look a lot better than they tasted, unfortunately. All 3 had a pile of hard frosting on top. As you can see in the picture, it just crumbles and falls apart. Sadly, we will not be back. I hate to leave a bad review this early, but there just wasn't anything good about the experience.

So I got the grilled chicken salad and my friend got the spicey chicken sandwich. She said it was not spicy at all. It was just ok. Also It doesn't come with a side. My salad was ok. It was big and the chicken strips seemed like the tyson ones in the bag. They were all cut and shaped the same. I wish the lettuce was more than iceberg. I would probably order it again if I go back. We also got cinnamon rolls and cream cheese roll. Unfortunately we have to rate them as so so. This place is new here and I really want to support local. So I always give a second chance. One last thing that we didn't like. We got tap water and was charged 2.50 for it. It was horrible and we left it on the table. We got our bill and was charged. We explained why we left it and told her she needs to tell the customer that tap water cost 2.50. Normally, it's free. I could understand if it was bottled. So just be aware of that.

Today, I want to share my recent experience at Lil Dutch Bakery, as this was our first visit, we approached it with high hopes, eager to indulge in what appeared to be a delightful selection of treats. However, I must admit that our experience left much to be desired.

Upon entering Lil Dutch Bakery, we were immediately greeted by an impressive display of baked goods. The presentation was certainly eye-catching, with each item meticulously arranged and showcasing the bakery's apparent commitment to aesthetics. It was hard not to feel excited as we scanned the colorful array of pastries and cakes, envisioning the delightful flavors that awaited us.

However, that excitement quickly turned to disappointment when we decided to purchase a German chocolate cake. While it looked absolutely stunning—a true feast for the eyes—the taste failed to match its appearance. It felt as though something essential was missing from the flavor profile. The cake, while visually appealing, lacked the richness and depth that we expected from a traditional German chocolate cake.

To add to our disappointment, we found the price of the cake to be quite steep. For a product that promised so much yet delivered so little, it felt like we were paying a premium for a mere facade. It’s disheartening when you invest not just your money but also your anticipation into something that ultimately does not satisfy.

While Lil Dutch Bakery certainly knows how to present their goods beautifully, the value just wasn’t there for us. We felt underwhelmed and a little regretful for our choice. I genuinely hope that our experience was an anomaly, as I believe that every bakery has the potential to create something truly special. For now, though, we won’t be rushing back for a second visit.

The cupcakes are really pretty but it was tasteless and the icing tasted weird. I purchased two different flavors and both of them tasted blah…definitely wasted my money on those. However, The baked cookie was soft and delicious

Why did I get a service fee for walking out with 3 cupcakes? Wish I'd noticed it before I left! Aren't the taxes enough? This was a take out! SMH!!

This is definitely not as Fresh as it should be..So Disappointed

All I can say is that I wish I would have read the reviews for their cupcakes!
I purchased 8 cupcakes for $38 and change....they were the worst tasting cupcakes our family has ever tasted from a bakery. The cake of the cupcakes tasted like flour...☹ the frostings were just okay.
Unfortunately, I will not be patronizing this bakery again😔

I'm so sorry, but this was not it. I wanted some gourmet cupcakes on the way home (not store bought) and I googled this place, Lil Dutch Bakery, I got 6 cupcakes (assorted) and a slice of pound cake. Everything looked delicious, but once I got in the car to take a bite of the blue sprinkled confetti cupcake IT WAS HORRIBLE! I love icing, as they gave more than a mountain full on the cupcakes (which is fine by me bc I love icing), it was HARD and not sweet. The confetti batter, I tasted the flour, it too was not sweet. Although the cupcakes weighed a pound, they were not good, OH AND THEY WERE COLD, like just got out of the refrigerator cold. This could explain why the icing was so stiff, but it doesn't explain the whole cupcakes being TASTELESS. If you all are reading: pls revamp the recipes, to add flavor and sweetness to your cupcakes and like other dessert places, that I will not stray from, pls serve a freshly baked, moist soft and palatable cupcake, with icing that has the same character- well soft w/flavor and palatable. It's bad when you bring home to the family disgusting cupcakes and even more bad when a 7yr old says," This strawberry cupcake taste bad!" Spits it out in the trash, why bc the icing had no flavor and even the box cake batter you used didn't have flavor 🤢. I seen previous reviews, but was praying I had a better result, no, the reviews were spot on. I'd stick with where I was going. You did get a 5 star from me on customer-service and cleanliness of the place though. However, I will not try the food nor any other desserts, bc of yesterday's purchase of not even close to being good cupcakes, looks definitely can be deceiving. Overall rating :1 and that's bc of great customer service from the young girl, with the glasses, sorry I didn't get the name.

I drive by this place everyday on my drive. I wanted to give this place a try and buy a few sweets for the family. It was a disappointing experience. The customer service was nonexistent, and the food, consisting of two cupcakes and one cookie, was underwhelming. Overall, not worth the visit.

I’ve given this place three chances now. But I’ve had it. Some tiny cookie cutter Easter cookies they charge $3.50 apiece for and they are completely dried out and my kids didn’t even finish them. last time I got a cookie cake my husband took one bite and threw the rest of the cake out.

I went in today, brought 2 cupcakes, a brownie and a cinnamon roll, and lets just say I ended up throwing everything away, the cupcakes are going to be the only eatable thing and they didn't taste the best. The cinnamon roll was hard as a brick even warmed up still hard as a rock, the brownie smelled like a dog helped make it 🤢🤢so I didn't even bit it just threw it straight in the trash....so disappointed the worse bakery I have ever been to by far, if you want good dessert in the Grovetown area go to Tippy's cakes, this place right here days are numbered..
