Simmering Pho Cafe

One of the finest Vietnamese restaurant in California. I love their foods especially spring roll served with peanut sauce. I was surprised by the taste of the sauce, so amazing. Moreover, the lovely and friendly of the owners of the restaurant made me feel comfortable. If you have a chance to visit to Morgan Hill, I highly recommend this restaurant to you. They won’t fail you.

I'm sitting here eating my chicken Pad Thai and feeling so content that I had to hop on and 5 star this place immediately. The medium spice is a great starting point if you like spicy food, you get chili crisp and Sriracha at the table too. Lovely staff, good boba, delicious food. My husband also really loved his beef pho. Great stop on our way up to San Francisco!

Food: everything tastes great, from the drinks to the main dish. You are (by default) served a lemon water (with ice) that doesn’t actually taste like they’re trying to cover up the “tap water taste” with the lemon, the spring rolls are good by themselves, with soy sauce, or with peanut sauce, and the red rice is great; it kind of tastes like hibachi fried rice but not fried. Of course, these are not the main dishes, to which I will disclose mine: the Com Do Voi Ga Quay. The mini salad is like many others, but the chicken is intrinsically fantastic, although I do warn of many small bones in the chicken, as the waitress told me.

Service: simply excellent: the waitress was kind and readily willing to converse with me, she checked on us often (but not too often) to make sure that we didn’t need anything more, and she even resupplied the sauce trays!

Atmosphere: now I am certainly not fluent in Vietnamese culture, but I could say that the setting was appealing with the koi fish tank, beautiful images (in my opinion) from Vietnam, lights, and general spacing from each table. By the way, there was a bathroom that was pretty clean.

Conclusion: this is a nice Vietnamese restaurant with great service, food, and atmosphere; just make sure to specify if you have any allergies, especially seafood and/or peanut allergies.

Great environment, very good food, good service. We had soup and chicken pad tai along with a sprout appetizer. Food was bright and good aromatic taste.

There are tons of Pho options, but it's the dedication to fresh high quality ingredients and the pride and time of the broth. I love when you truly find the family full of old recipes and pride, and this is one of those places! The owner makes her own Boba and it's unlike any I've tried..I actually like it and look forward to having it! I've never liked it before because of the chewy chemical taste and feel, but hers...you must try for yourself! The Mango Boba drink is the best anywhere!! They are nice, clean, quick, efficient and consistent. My favorite Pho place in the area!!

Loved every single thing about this restaurant. Sweet owners who were super inviting and kind. Everything we ordered was delicious and their pho bowls are huge! 10/10 recommend. We will definitely be back next time we pass through town

Literally the best pho I've ever had in my entire life!

This five star review is long over due. One of the best if not THE best Pho place hidden in plain sight in Morgan Hill! Tops all other Pho places across the whole Silicon Valley; other places are good, but this place is Great! Fresh, high quality ingredients and NO MSG! A pho restaurant have to level up on their ingredients and recipe to make such good soup without MSG!! My toddler daughter can drink up the soup and eat the pho and vermicelli noodles since she was one and half years old; we’ve tried a few other places (when Simmering is not open) and our baby wouldn’t eat/drink as much. Pad Thai is another wonderful dish that is SO much better than other Thai restaurants in the bay! It’s unbelievable. We will only go to Simmering Pho unless it is not open on certain days! The staff are friendly; especially the hostess treat you like family. Thank you!

Very nice inside, food comes out very fast and the Pho was solid. The meat was a bit chewy but the broth was delicious!

This is my place goto for Vietnamese food outside of SJ. The food tasty, flavorful and fresh. I've noticed this restaurant puts great care into the smaller details with their ingredients, which is great because others do not. The lady that takes orders is very kind, attentive, and very polite. I was eating solo after work and after my food was brought out she said, "please enjoy your meal" in Vietnamese, you don't get that kind of etiquette while eating at the more known restaurants in San Jose! Give this place a try the quality of food speaks for itself!

The food is delicious and the staff are great! There is so much detail in the decor so there's so much to look at but it's not to a level where it's distracting. The bathrooms are very clean and well stocked, and the price for the food is reasonable. There's nothing to complain about in this place, it's very enjoyable in terms of both food and restaurant experience every time we go.

A smile of happiness your stomach enjoys. A lovely smile to greet you and quickly see you. Atmosphere of Vietnam, bright, colorful and cheerful. The spring rolls with shrimp and delicious barbecue pork awakened the appetite. Peanut soy sauce dip. Number 14 is a delicious beefy broth with rice noodles and thin slices of brisket and beef. A squeeze of juicy lime. The basil added fresh to enhance the taste and perfume. Mung bean sprouts sprinkled into the broth for crunchy texture. Delicious. Generous portions. Gracious hospitality. Sometimes Ebola soup really is good for the soul. And this place has never disappointed.

This little place is fantastic! We happened upon it as a recommendation from a local who said it was the best in the area, and gosh, were they right. Food is fresh, carefully prepared, beautifully spiced, high-quality, and reasonably priced. It's locally owned and operated. You can't go wrong here!

Simmering Pho Cafe is the best in town. I really enjoy the beautiful atmosphere and lovely Tiffany, who is so amazing and gracious. She truly cares about giving you the best service, experience and care, while you enjoy an awesome meal. Just love finishing off our evening with a yummy warm Vietnamese coffee. I always leave with a satisfied belly and happy heart. ❤ I can’t wait until next time!

One of the best Pho place I've been to. I had the #8 Pho Dac Biet (Pho Special). Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was very nice. I was served pretty quickly.
Overall I great experience.

John and his wife run a great little cafe. I find it clean and comfortable with great service. Of course the best thing about Simmering is their soup being the best I have ever tasted. Finding this place so close to home makes it very convenient to just stop in for a quick bite on those evenings I'm running late. So if you like soup, especially Pho, I highly recommend it!

I truly love restaurants like Simmering Pho. "Mom & Pop" type where a family runs and operates it. The food is delicious and keeps me and the family coming back regularly. But they sincerely take pride in their food AND service, which is naturally personable because it's owner operated. I go out of my way to patronize businesses like these.
