Christy's Cafe

Stopped here to have a bite to eat randomly. My family and I were very surprised at what we found in this cafe. Very clean, beautiful decor. The service was quick, knowledgeable, and friendly. Then came the food. We got a potato pancakes app and three different sandwiches, the Cuban, Italian and chicken BLT. The food was amazing and plated better than fine dining in the area. I had the coleslaw as a side, and it may have been the best I've ever had.

Came back for breakfast and was not disappointed. My wife got a S'mores Latte and Western egg bowl. I got the biscuits and gravy, a little sweet for my southern taste but good.

Went to Christy's for breakfast expecting the standard country comfort food and cozy decor that you'd find in a small dinner/Cafe but the style was what I'm going to call "country modern." I liked it cause it didn't feel like it was trying to be a pretentious hipster place but they still managed to have the inviting country along side a modern coffee shop appeal.
The menu also seemed to match the mixture between homestyle cooking and healthy modern options. Everything was really reasonably priced. I ordered the country scramble bowl and fried green tomatoes. They were very good. The coffee was not as hot as it could be but they had mentioned they are having trouble with it and had ordered a replacement.
The staff was super nice. Maria attended to us and made us feel right at home. The owner came over and made sure everything was satisfactory.
I would definitely come back to chill in the couches and try more of their specialty coffee and diverse entrees.

What a great place. Friendly staff, modern decor with a nice layout. You’re not sitting on top of one another. A good variety of the menu…not like an old school diner but an accommodating selection of dishes. They also have a nice selection of lattes, alongside seasonal choices. A great choice for breakfast or brunch.

We loved this cute breakfast place. The food was great! The honey and rose latte is delicious.

My parents, boyfriend, and I have all eaten here on multiple occasions. It’s fairly close to home and while you’re there it feels like home. The staff is very friendly, the place is clean, and the food is good! I highly recommend Christy’s to anyone looking for a small business to try or a new place to eat! We stopped in for my boyfriends birthday breakfast and as always the food was really good! I tried a chai latte and was very happy with it!

Staff was very friendly and it was the perfect place to grab a quick lunch. The veggie burger wasn't gluten free, but I was shocked at how wonderful their summer salad was. Fresh strawberries in November - and for only $10! I love that the art bar seems to work pretty intimately with them. Service was perfect and the food was amazing.

The food here is delicious and the assortment of drinks is great. The staff is always very kind and quick.

Great Cafe! Sit down or sit at the bar/lounge. Wife loves the decor (especially out here in the sticks). Great staff and coffee!

A pleasant place in a pleasant town. Food was good. Prices reasonable. Friendly staff. Dined outdoors. Had my dog with me and noticed a water bowl set out front. Felt at home.

The food, iced tea, and dessert were all very delicious! The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere was a combination of modern, chic, and cozy. I would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful restaurant with good food at a good price. Service was excellent as well. The fried zucchini sticks were done with the perfect amount of crispness while still retaining the crunch of the zucchini inside. The London Fog was also pleasantly sweet without overpowering the tea, able to taste all the ingredients one should have in a London Fog. Overall, a great meal to cap off a fall hike.

Stopped here on my annual road trip with my sister Deborah from Altoona to Great Wolf Lodge. I ordered some sort of peanut butter latte and boy oh boy, was it delicious. Not only that, but the barista with the glasses served it with a beautiful latte art. It was the best one I’ve ever had, and she was such a nice girl. My fiancé ordered the egg combo because he doesn’t do cheese, and it looked delicious. I decided to order the breakfast panini, and boy was it good. I will be stopping here in the future for our next family getaway. I will be recommending to all my friends in Altoona! I tried Deborah’s lavender latte and I was surprised to enjoy it so much! What a unique flavor. Props to the amazing barista and the chef.

Great "off the beaten path" little restaurant, definitely worth your time to check out! Was visiting family in the area, got food here for takeout and was pleasantly surprised! Great food at very reasonable prices! I tried a side of onion rings (excellent!) and the honey mustard chicken salad (also excellent!). Also ordered a couple of espresso drinks, a vanilla cinnamon (seasonal) and a caramel latte. Both were great, Starbucks-like quality, and the barista was knowledgeable and sweet! Wish I lived in the area to frequent it but I'll definitely be back anytime I'm visiting!!

We drove almost 4 hours from NY for a funeral and saw this cafe on the road and decided to stop. It was the best decision. From the ambiance to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. We didn’t even get the food yet and we were already happy. The white chocolate hot chocolate, the avocado toast and the western bowl deserves a chef kiss. It was like being in the middle of Manhattan. It’s a must that you give them your business.

My husband and I had breakfast here this morning. The team hit it out of the park with every item that we ordered, down to the exceptional Campfire Smores Latte. The strawberry cream cheese pancakes were outstanding! The best part of breakfast was the Potato Pancakes, absolutely without a doubt the best I've ever had. The ingredients are so fresh and the owner is so friendly and attentive! Love this place. 10/10 highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I went to Christy's for the first time back in December and absolutely loved the food and atmosphere!! Within the past month we have been here every weekend!! Their breakfast and lunch menu is fantastic!! Their is such a variety including everyones favorite go-to's like their 2-egg combo (my favorite) and new innovative dishes such as their english muffin french toast!!!!! For lunch, I always opt. for their mac & cheese and chicken sandwich, all their meat taste so fresh!!! The taste of every item on your plate is fantastic!!!! Nothing is bad quality! Not to mention, the portions are magnificent!! Their coffee's and hot chocolate is immaculate, they have such a variety from espresso to ices and hot coffee to lattes, and on top of that they have sooo many flavor options!! Also, there is no waiting 30 minutes for your food to come out once you've ordered. Today, my boyfriend and I were served our food within 10 minutes of being seated!!! AND the wait staff is awesome!!! The owner, Dave, comes around consistently to ensure every table is ok. And the surroundings are beautiful, from the ceiling lights, to the black and white paint, to the industrial shelves!!! Just a beautiful place to be!!!

Excellent onion rings and dipped in house made honey mustard sauce. King burger and chicken panini were amazing. Will definitely be back!

Being locals, we have our normal go-to places but we've been meaning to give Christy's Cafe a try since they opened. We finally stopped in for lunch and man am I glad we did.

Super friendly service and great food. The Cuban Panini was phenomenal. No hyperbole, probably one of the best Cuban sandwiches I've ever had. It was perfect and rivaled those I've had in Cuban neighborhoods. Highly recommended.

Dog friendly outside with 3 tables. Large newly remodeled indoor eating area. A variety of coffee/tea/lattes are available. Creative and delicious menu choices. More upscale than a diner. I like the breakfast wrap.
