This mom-and-pop coffee shop stole my heart during my visit to Texas. The coffee is truly exceptional, and the quaint atmosphere adds to its charm. The customer service is delightful, making each visit a pleasant experience. I couldn't resist coming back three times, and now it's a must-stop every time I'm in town. This hidden gem is a testament to the magic of local coffee shops.

I have found my coffee spot! This new place is the best in town for your coffee fix. Whether you want to relax with a book, carry out work on your laptop, or meet up with a friend, Dark Ritual is your go-to spot.

Delicious coffee, tasty waffles, and a great family-run business. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. The owners, Cindy & Adam, are friendly and knowledgeable. They make you feel welcome the minute you step foot in the door.

They have a variety of coffee flavors. Blood moon is my favorite. Also, they roast their own beans. Say goodbye to coffee chains that give you more ice than coffee or a drink that’s loaded with sugar. Whatever your coffee taste is, I’m sure you will find something new to love at Dark Ritual.

Fate brought me here! Literally. I punched "Mural" into maps, looking for unique local art. Up popped "Mural Corridor." I pulled in to see the artwork and parked straight in from of Dark Ritual Coffee Roasters. If you've been following me, you know that I love a good hot mocha. I haven't been to a coffee house since moving to Texas two weeks ago, so I was in need of a great cup of coffee!

You will love the atmosphere in Dark Ritual Coffee Roasters. 90s music plays softly in the background, the chairs are comfortable, they have wifi, and the coffee is fantastic!

There are books and board games here as well. Everything inside this quaint restaurant is inviting you to relax and stay for a while.

On the weekends, in the Mural Corridor that separated Dark Ritual from another row of shops, there will be live music on the weekends. There's also an upcoming Halloween party for children.

If you had no other reason to visit Fate, TX. Dark Ritual Coffee Roasters is all the reason you need!

Dark Ritual Coffee Roasters is the best. My family and I have enjoyed some delicious drinks. My daughter loves the games we’ve played together here. I also come in to study/work about twice a week. I have witnessed the owners treat every single person with so much kindness. So imagine— having your favorite drink served by a friend. That’s what you get here. ✨

The family is very nice and answered all my questions. Having an addiction to coffee means I am very picky about my coffee selection and flavor. The owners gave me samples of the different cold brews which were delicious. Great gem in Fate, I will definitely be back. I ordered a dirty pumpkin chai latte, it was delicious, not too sweet and it didn’t have the overwhelming taste of pumpkin to it.

Wow! How did I not know about this cute coffee spot here in Fate!!! Loved it. Loved the menu, the atmosphere and the coffee was outrageously impressive.. Highly recommend the high tide!

Wow, this place is amazing!!! They have great options and knowledge about the coffee. I’m so glad I tried the Belgium waffle. That is one of the best waffles I’ve ever had. If your looking for a great coffee place in the Rockwall/Fate/Royse City area, this is it.

The waffles were amazing! The waffle itself was NOT over sweet. The waffle taste was just on point. The nutella and berries combined flavors really well. Wifey got the pumpkin spice coffee and I tried it, I gotta respect that it was not oversweet. It actually tasted like coffe and not just sweets with coffee.
Also, I loved their recycled/compostable forks and knives they gave us.
We will recommend and will come back!

Long have I awaited an independent coffee shop east of Rockwall, but only in my wildest dreams did I imagine it could be this good. The owner, Adam, has brought his extensive culinary experience into the world of coffee and tea, reinvigorating the humble medium of drink in an original and creative way.

Adam has honed his drink offerings by mastering every step in their creation. From roasting the beans to making the syrups and down to the brew itself, the care and consideration put into these drinks is evident, the ingredients together coalescing into a superior drink. Whatever you order, his presentation and willingness to experiment shines through to offer a wonderful experience.

As far as his food offerings, his family recipe Belgian waffles are delicious and presented decadently (weekends only at the moment). The affogato is comfort in a bowl, elevated.

Dark Ritual went above and beyond with their interior, where you will regularly find me. It is a hospitable and homey environment, suitable for the whole family.

This is a must-visit café.

Cute little coffee shop, has comfy couches and real mugs on request, which was just the thing we were looking for! I tried pistachio latte which was delicious and earthy.

I always love trying new coffee places. We had great coffee, delicious waffles and the place has a nice vibe. We will definitely be back.

The cutest coffee shop in town . We are glad something like this has opened i can take my kids in the morning for coffee and they can sit a play board games there .

Great coffee, great atmosphere, and a great family run business! Had my family saying they never wanted Starbucks again. They also have a welcoming sitting area to do school work or talk with friends while you’re enjoying your coffee and snacks. Would definitely recommend!

The coffee is great. Atmosphere is even better. Me and my family go every Sunday morning and drink coffee (hot chocolate for the kids) and play a board game (they have a lot of them). We always feel so welcome and cared for.

Went here twice with my siblings two consecutive days! I got the natures claim and the dark ritual latte the second day. They’re pretty good but OML the peach cobbler and the Iced Black one is heavenly. Peach cobbler probably my favorite, they incorporate the flavors very well. Very unique flavors, doesn’t disappoint

The best kept coffee secret in Rockwall County, but I would venture further and say the best in the DFW Metroplex. If you don’t believe me, venture out one weekend and try it for yourself.

I found out about this shop a few months ago. I was trying to slowly ease my way back into coffee after taking a hiatus. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with a smile, and the space is small enough to connect one on one, but big enough that you have elbow room to move around.

When I initially went, I wasn’t sure where to start but Adam gladly walked me through the menu. I’ve since changed my daily special twice, but neither him or his wife Cindy haven’t forgotten it. So much for easing back into it! To top it off they sell made to order waffles that Adam crafts with an old family recipe. You can’t just try one 🤤. If that isn’t enough, they make other in house goodies like Chocolate Expresso cookies that will surely make you want more.

Lastly and probably most important for all you coffee aficionados they sell their own beans for you take home and grind or they come already ground for you. The best of everything literally.

Exceptional service, and high quality are hard to come by these days, so when you’re out in Fate or just feeling adventurous give them a try. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

soooo good. they have such unique flavors and they ACTUALLY taste like them. you want a black sugar and caramelized fig coffee? it is going to taste exactly like fig and its amazing. The blood moon, which is chocolate raspberry, and the dark ritual coffee, which is ube and coconut flavored, are my faves. so so good and the customer service is really nice. they are super sweet. I think it's family owned and the general atmosphere and seating arrangement is cozy and cute :)
