Line Thai Cafe

Today, I want to share a place we stopped at on our way to New Mexico, a little town in Texas called Alpine, which I hadn't visited before.

This small town didn't have many dining options, but we stumbled upon a restaurant with a charming, fresh decor. Surprisingly, the food was delightful too!

I'd advise against ordering the Thai tea; it's excessively sweet, almost like drinking syrup. However, their fried rice is a must-try – aromatic and with a hint of wok hei. The curry leans towards the spicy side, but the flavor is excellent. By the way, it seems like the restaurant is run by a kind man who is really nice – I genuinely love it!

We ordered dinner from here during our stay in Alpine while visiting Big Bend National Park. We got the chicken fried rice and chicken drunken noodles. Both were absolutely amazing to eat. Just loved it ! Drunken noses was spicy default. I love spicy so I liked it a lot. But do ask if you can’t handle spice.

When there is not much choice in Alpine this place is stellar. Took about 35 minutes to get food. We were there during a peak time. But welll worth the wait. DELICIOUS. Very comparable to San Antonio Thai places. Plenty of food. Had the Pad Thai. Seems like young business owners. Good job!

Great Thai food in Alpine! I ordered the pad Thai with chicken and spring rolls—both tasty and well spiced. The patio is a lovely space as is the modern indoor dining area. Will definitely return!

Ordered red curry with tofu and pad see ew with tofu. Red curry was medium spicy which was great because we usually ask for more heat. The noodle were thin, so no wide flat noodles. That’s my only criticism about the pad see ew. The google menu is not up to date, and could not find menu online, so I added photos of menu.

Best Thai food I’ve had in Texas! I had the Panang Curry, which was fantastic. I will definitely be back!

Very good. I had the yellow pineapple chicken curry. Kids had shrimp pad Thai and chicken fried rice. I liked the Thai tea too. Has cold lemon water self serve for Patrons. Will return.

Didn’t expect to find a great Thai in the middle of Alpine, Texas in big bend country and safe to say we were not disappointed.

Warm, fresh food that took it while to make (they were very busy!) but you can tell it was made with care and love. The owner/chef was incredibly kind and offered advice on Big Bend. The atmosphere was very nice with a good bathroom. It’s a little pricey but the food quality justifies the price

A nice little Thai oasis outside Big Bend. Glad we fueled up our appetites before the trek into the park. If you’re in Alpine definitely stop by.

It was a good and pleasant experience. The cashew dish was delicious. Atmosphere was pleasant. Highly recommend this place!

Went to Line Thai today since it changed ownership and menu items... All I can say is AMAZING! Fried rice... Delicious... Spring rolls.. Delicious.. fried banana with ice cream... Delicious! Definitely going back!!

Made a stop here during a road trip to grab some food. It was very delicious! I tried their lemongrass chicken wonton soup. The broth was very flavorful with just the right balance of the lemongrass. The wontons pack a bigger punch of the lemongrass flavor but everything is so well seasoned and balanced that the flavor is not overbearing. It came with a side of white rice that was so good by itself but I chose to dip some of it in the broth. My husband tried their Pad-See Ew Chicken, which was also very tasty! They give you everything in to-go containers already, which I think is nice, if you don’t finish something it’s already in a container to take home. It’s a small and cute place with friendly service. Overall a great experience!

I heard about this place from Friends and family in town, and it's honestly beyond expectations. The place itself is chill and cozy. The Food, the FOOD, is very good. I've lived in major metro cities for the last 10 years and this is easily comparable in flavor and food quality.

My only "complaint" if you could call it one, is I wish there was MORE variety. Not because they don't have enough choices, but because everything I had was great and I feel the heart and soul they put into it. I wish I had endless options.

If you are looking for authentic Thai cuisine out in west Texas, this is the spot! I’ve been to the original in Marfa plenty of times and this is my first time enjoying the dine in experience. Where to start. Everything on this menu is really tasty and cooked to perfection. The red curry is my usual go to and I always enjoy chicken fried rice. The amount of food they give you is over the top. If you are starved you will leave more than full. Believe me people this spot goes so hard!

The atmosphere inside is very calm and the windows make for awesome light. Make sure to sit by the big window and check out the amazing view.

Such a clean and beautiful establishment with flavorful food and delicious drinks! We had the chicken pad Thai and basil fried rice and it was one of my favorite Thai meals of all time! I love their coffee as well with a great balance of bitter and sweet. The staff there is super friendly! I highly recommend.

This was pivot stop but so glad we
found it. Cashew chicken with rice was perfect temp, spice and serving size. Chicken lemon grass was much spicier than expected but still very delicious-, like tip the bowl delicious. It was a chilly day so while the ample outside
patio was not being used, every table
inside was filled, turned and filled again.

Awesome family owned and operator business. Great Curry’s, noodle dishes and peanut sauce. I’ve had them on lunch break 20+ times and have never had a bad meal/experience. Consistent quality and deliciousness every time. What a treat to have a legitimate Thai restaurant in Alpine. Thank you.

Line Thai Cafe was a great find on our travels through West Texas. Too many sandwiches and pizzas were leading us to something fresher, and this did not disappoint! The food was delicious with large portion sizes and the people were fantastic. Highly recommend a stop at this quaint little Alpine treasure.

Love this place! I ordered the pineapple curry rice and the flavor is on point. Very rich flavors and lots of veggies and chicken inside.

Staff were very friendly and and the vibe is relaxing. WiFi available and is fast. Lots of parking outside the cafe and outdoor seating available too. I’d come here every day if I lived here 😍

The new owners just reopened less than a week ago, and it’s our first time back since then. Everything was wonderful! Such a huge improvement. The shrimp appetizer was crispy and came with a tasty sauce. The pineapple curry soup was spicy and creamy and the veggies in it were fresh and crisp. The noodles in the Pad See-Ew were perfectly cooked. We’ll definitely be back more often.

Great little place and they were open on Thanksgiving!

Update: After changing ownership & management, their entire menu has changed, and there wasn't a current version available online. The staff went above & beyond to send me the current menu, and I expect the food to be off of the charts as well! If it isn't, I'll update my review accordingly, but for now I'm going by other ratings that have been submitted since the changeover alongside their stellar patience, understanding, and overall helpfulness on what has to be quite a busy day for them as the only place in town open on Christmas day...
