Our old hangout redone. Wonderful place and the waitress was so friendly. We told her all about what a great place that was in our work days. We had pretzels and cheese curds with cheese dip. A large portion and tea for drinks. Wonderful place I will be going back. Good luck to you!

We had 13 for our monthly get-together. Our waitress Kayla was amazing. The food was great. Prices are very reasonable! I would recommend Frenchman Widow in Herrin anytime. Kayla, you were so on it. We would want you every time.

Very neat bar and grill. The building itself is true piece of Herrin history. Love the exposed natural brick on the inside walls. Hopefully it has some longevity this time because it has closed down a couple times, and I would like to see it last. The food was excellent 👌🏼, I had the patty melt and it was delicious 😋. My wife had the Buffalo wrap and she really enjoyed it. The wraps are big and filling. I look forward to visiting again next time I am in town. The beer selection definitely needs increased, but I am sure they will once they get going at full capacity. Awesome friendly service as well! Ask for Bailey she was an amazing server!

Today was our first time. Bailey was our server/bartender. She was GREAT! friendly with great recommendations. The food was fabulous. Will definitely be back 10/10 recommend

I had then special "flight" and chose the chicken salad on croissant and a dill pickle pasta salad and a broccoli salad...all three for $12! The chick salad was very good, but the pasta and broccoli salad had too much bacon. I'm don't eat red meat, so I had to eat around the bacon bits. I'm sure most people will think it's great, though.

We had the chocolate White Russian, Philly cheesesteak, and French dip. Everything was delicious. The service was great, Bailey took great care of us. I highly recommend The Frenchmans Widow.

Our large party was handed well and served good food.. Everyone was happy. Recommended.

My husband, son, and I ate here for my husband's birthday. We got the pub pretzel with beer cheese and the Buffalo cauliflower balls as appetizers. My husband had traditional buffalo wings and Philly cheesesteak, my son got the widowmaker, and I and I got the mechanic.
The portions were huge, the burgers were hand made, not frozen. Onion rings were fresh and tender, not tough. Perfectly seasoned fries. My husband said the sandwich was like it was supposed to be (his family is from Philly)
The place was clean and quiet with soft music in the background. The food came out in a good amount of time, and the temperature was good on everything. Our server, Bailey, was prompt and really friendly. We will definitely be back!

The food has changed, for the better. Soup specials are great. I hope they bring back the flight of soups during cold weather.
The only place around that I found makes Taco salad the correct way.

We stopped just for a drink and ended up having taco Tuesday special. Steak tacos were great. Staff were also great! Good drink prices. We will put it on our to do list for when we are in the area. Thank you.

Nice calm venue. This is a old building restored by a local business family. Great food with professional chef taking time to serve quality meals. Thanks to old time places and family owned business.

My partner and I just moved to Herrin at the beginning of summer, and we were looking for somewhere local to eat and have drinks. We decided to check out Frenchman’s Widow and it quickly became our go-to place! We somehow always manage to have Bailey as our server/bartender and we are definitely not upset about it. 😊 The staff and food never disappoint. The spin dip with bread is my absolute favorite! If you are looking for a place that isn’t loud and has a nice bar to sit and visit at. THIS IS THE PLACE!

Super cute and unique little gem for the area with a big city look and feel but also a small town, intimate vibe. Amazing service, absolutely top-notch. The food was delicious; the fries are dangerously addictive and the brushcetta is totally on point. Would definitely recommend and stop by again!

Wonderful Nachos & fish sandwich. French dip & the brunch on Saturday with the Bloody Mary bar is outstanding.
