You need it, they got it. Staff are usually busy and are slow to help but are nice when you ask. Good clearance on sports wears at the end of the season, too. Heads up, if you're buying a fishing license, you need your SSN now!!

This was my first time shopping here since where I live does not have Academy Sports.
I found everything we needed for my grandson.
Then, we had a great cashier named Karla, who was very friendly and asked us if we had checked out the clearance items.
We took our original purchases out to the car and returned for shopping round #2! This was a wonderful shopping experience!

Tammy (manager) was very polite & courteous as there was store wide system outage affecting online pickups. I appreciate all her help. Your store employees were all nice and offered other alternatives for getting my order. I thank you all.

I don't know how yall stay in business. Place is always spotless, and I never have to wait in line at the checkout! Come here regularly for ammo and new shoes when needed! Keep up the great work!

I really enjoyed my visit here. The store is a good size and has everything you can think of sports and outdoor related. Prices weren’t too bad and they had a TON of clearance items.

Probably one of the best places to go for footwear, sporting goods, clothes for leisure and activity and fan wear. Store is laid out and labeled well to find what you are looking for. Great selection of shoes from casual to sports to work wear shoes. Many great deals in various departments as well as clearance items.

I love to shop at this store for our sporting needs. They always have what I need and when they have sales their prices are the best. We recently bought a workout bench, weights and a punching bag. My husband doesn’t want to work out at the gym. Our entire family workout now so we needed more than one machine. We bought games, sneakers and clothing as well. Found a great bathing suit for under $30 last year. Definitely recommend shopping here.

Great store for shopping for soccer supplies my son just started playing soccer so he needed shoes and other items to prepare we found everything he needed plus more it was very affordable and everyone was happy and helpful

Sporting goods store with decent prices on what you want. Always have a good shopping experience here.

Customer service was good the associate explained how to use the equipment purchased and there handguns were pretty reasonable

Tanner & Breanna at the firearms dept were amazing!!! They helped me purchase my first firearm and had the best customer service. They had positive attitudes the entire time & were super helpful with questions I had. This academy is great!!

We love academy and the end of year/after the holidays sales are always a favorite. The Magellan brand is awesome!

Very nice, clean, and organized! Shout out to Nicholas for going ABOVE and BEYOND with helping me with my sons punching bag and stand and also helping me to car. Thank you to nice man that helped me with my sons soccer cleats and gear!! All the cashiers were really nice!! The girl with dreads and the guy with crutches , the older lady wasn’t the personable but I guess she’s old but really nice store and staff.

Two levels here, Academy Sports as a chain and this particular store.
Academy has consistently lower prices on name brand items over the other outdoor chains.
The store and parking lot were clean and well lit. The shelves were well stocked and prices are clearly marked. All interactions with staff were pleasant and helpful.

Great staff. Everyone was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable from first contact, right up to the 4-5 employees who helped load my 500 pound Brazos DLX smoker into my pickup truck.

Came in looking for some 22lr ammo. Got lucky and found Norma tac for $5 a box… which is 👌
Best find in the larger retailers around Charlotte.
