I called the main usps cust service number and the lady i spoke to was very kind and empathetic with me she was patient and really listened to my concern about my po box being closed and the issues i was having with paying my bill. she took notes and relayed my message directly to my post office in camden wyoming, delaware. she even went ahead and gave me the phone number where i could directly call the post office myself. within 24 hours, the supervisor of my post office in camden wyoming, delaware was so gentle spoken and kind. such a warm gentle welcoming tone in his voice and he was able to reference my request and concern. he took the time to place me hold to ask his team some questions to clarify and make sure he was getting the best answers for me. he came back on the phone and told me that they would be able to keep my box open as long as i had someone come in soon to pay it. i told him to give me a week and he said ok no problem. he even went ahead and told me that he supports my business and he has been following my business on social media. i asked him if miss val still worked there and he said yes so i asked him to tell her i said hello. its like my extended family there and i felt at ease that they were taking great care of my mail while i travel outside the country. i feel confident and satisfied to work with that team. super nice and supportive. love them so much!

Updated review: At first I didn’t feel welcomed by the staff. After I came in a few times the counter person apologized. She was helpful with teaching me about a scan form. It makes it much easier. I’m sure the workload here is a lot for the staff. Next time I won’t judge so quickly about feeling unwelcome.

I don’t know what happened with the other reviewers. A couple seem suspect as they only have one review or all their reviews are bad.

My wife and I moved to Camden in 2009. We used this post office for a lot of package mailings to Germany, my wife’s home. I don’t care for the small size of the office but I’ve never had any issues with the staff at all. As a matter of fact Valerie has been very helpful with giving different shipping options.

We don’t live in Camden anymore but I don’t mind dropping by to take care of mailing things at this office.

I always experience good service good conversation with staff. They explain if I'm doing something wrong and very polite. All staff I have worked with no complaints

Appreciate how the supervisor listens

For years we’ve dealt with random peoples mail from around the neighborhood end up in our mail box or on our front porch, I’ve delivered I don’t know how many packages to the right address wether it be a couple houses over or a couple of streets over. We’ve had mail marked as delivered that we’ve never received and letters missing that family members have sent. I get that it’s a lot of mail to go through and mistakes happen, but it’s a regular occurrence. Just yesterday I had 5 pieces of mail from two different addresses put in my box. The only reason I’m not giving it one star is because every staff member I’ve had an encounter with has been friendly

Every time we come it's a mixed experience. I'm not sure why but it seems as though almost all post offices have employees with such snarky attitudes! If you need a pen, they side eye you with a boat load of irritation. Now I do understand that maybe people take pens without returning them, but sheesh! No customer should pay for the sins of other bad customers!

It's a shame how disgusting the floors are with dirt for weeks and the outside of the building is. Mail not being delivered to the correct addresses too.

If I could give zero stars I would. The last two days the post office hasn’t delivered my mail. I know what packages and mail pieces to expect because I utilize informed delivery. The reason for the exception states “unable to access delivery location”. My mailbox is completely accessible, there isn’t a single thing keeping my mailbox from being accessible except the people who are refusing to deliver my mail. Also, I don’t live on an island that’s only accessible by boat, I live in a residential development with paved roads and egresses to other major thoroughfares. At 430 today, I saw the postal service truck in my development. However, I get a notification at 6:58 pm saying I can pick up my mail at the post office the next business day. Sure, I’ll take time out of my day to do someone else’s job. At least, I know it will get done correctly and in a timely fashion because trusting the Camden Post Office to do their job is like trusting a fart.
