New Story Coffee House

My only regret is i can't live next to this real style coffee house. It looks like a salon house after you leave town so hard to find but a gem. Right after the train tracks and then another hill and as you decend it is on the right. Heard them in the back cleaning when i came in wed afternoon. They even chatted me up even though i only had a custom made beautiful latte with scratch syrup. Try it out and give them money. It is so good and i was so thrilled to see the barista making it with care. Seriously best place to get a coffee maybe ever. It is like someone is serving you in their living room.

During a somber weekend visit for my fiancee's grandmother's funeral, we stumbled upon New Story Coffee House, and it turned out to be a true silver lining in a difficult time. We've frequented Mt. Pleasant on multiple occasions over the years, always lamenting the absence of quality coffee shops. The options were limited to gas station brews or the recent Dunkin'. However, New Story Coffee House has single-handedly changed the coffee game in this town.

Rachel and Keith, the heart and soul of this cozy haven, made us feel right at home. Their warm and welcoming demeanor provided a glimmer of solace amidst our trying circumstances. Their understanding and kindness were deeply appreciated, and it made our visit feel like we were among friends.

Now, let's talk about the coffee – the true star of the show. Mt. Pleasant was long devoid of a place to savor expertly crafted espresso-based drinks. That is, until New Story Coffee House stepped in. The coffee here is nothing short of excellent. Every sip is a testament to their dedication to the craft. The rich aroma, the perfectly pulled shots, and the velvety steamed milk all come together harmoniously.

To Rachel and Keith, your dedication to quality, your warmth, and your inviting coffee house have left an indelible mark on us. We'll definitely be back whenever we're in town, and we encourage everyone to support this wonderful establishment. A cup of their exceptional coffee is more than a beverage; it's a sip of comfort and a testament to the power of community coming together. I look forward to see how the space/place evolves with more seating, food options, etc.!

My friend and I stopped here before going on a mini shopping trip. It was my first time, she’s been there before and had nothing but good things to say.
Everything she said was absolutely true.
The owners are amazing. Super friendly and welcoming. They will talk to you like they’ve known you forever. And the coffee…delicious! They really put their heart into their work.
The atmosphere is so cozy and relaxing. All good vibes. Definitely will be returning soon!

This is a really lovely little coffee shop. They always have a variety of seasonally themed special beverages to try. The Comfort & Joy is my current favorite. The owners are very friendly and it's always a nice little break in my day when I stop in. Happy to have such a good coffee place so close to home up here in the mountains!

If you love coffee you will love this place! If you are on the turnpike it is just a short jaunt down the mountain side from the Donegal exit. (Toward Mt. Pleasant) There is a lot of care and thought that goes into a cup of coofee at New Story Coffee House. I travel to many places and am always looking for a good cup. This is my favorite by far. They also have great smoothies and teas. There are many options for different needs.

First time in and will be making this a regular stop. Very friendly and welcoming. Ordered a pumpkin spice latte...tasted like Fall in a cup and wasn't overly sweet and sugary like so many others I have had. The flavor of the espresso and spices were the perfect blend. Also enjoyed a very good pumpkin muffin. Looking forward to returning to try some of the different tea lattes and cold brew.

Fantastic coffee and wonderful couple running the place. They really care about the quality of their ingredients and it shows. Also tried a blueberry muffin while I was there and it was home made delicious. This was a highlight on my business trip to Mount Pleasant. I look forward to visiting again next time I'm in the area

The most AMAZING homemade muffins I’ve had in my whole life. The coffee is so fresh and the staff is so great! I literally walked in and was like “surprise me, I like sweet and heard y’all were amazing!” They def understand the assignment!!!! If ur in the area stop in you won’t be disappointed 😍

Amazing coffee shop! Definitely one of my favorite places now. I would definitely encourage you to try any of Rachel's baking she has a gift! Their homemade caramel is to die for.

Saw this place on Facebook, went for the first time and was not disappointed! This coffee is reasonably priced and tasted amazing! Got a sample of the coffee!!! Couldn’t be happier with this coffee place!

Really enjoyed this coffee shop. The atmosphere was very quaint, cozy, and warm. My coffee was delightful and my husbands tea was wonderful. The owner was very friendly and personable. We will be back!

It’s great to finally have a third wave coffee shop with a legit espresso machine in MP!! Cafe latte with oat milk was on point and iced chai latte was fresh. The owners are friendly and the shop has a great vibe! Sending everyone I know!!

Closest coffee shop to my house and so worth the try. They have great signature drinks, the owners are so friendly and the service is speedy for how hand crafted and small batched everything is. Also the coffee sample they provided for me was amazing. No longer are the days of Dunkin with this amazing shop in Mt.Pleasant.

The atmosphere, coffee and baked goods were amazing this morning. I appreciate the fair prices and friendly, upbeat service. Today, we tried blueberry lemon muffins, jalapeño bagels, Chai latte and caramel latte. Everything was perfect. It was really cool to see the bagels being made on site before enjoying them. I have been to every coffee house in the area and this one is my favorite!

Today, I tried this coffee house for the first time.
I ordered an iced caramel latte, and it was really good.

The espresso seems to be a great quality, and really strong.

The flavor options and sizes are a bit limited, seeing as they just opened, but I hope they are able to expand in the future.

The owners, a husband and wife, are nice and laid back.

Y'all should definitely give this place a try.

What a beautiful coffee shop… as soon as I entered in, I just felt at home. The owners, Rachel and Keith, are SO personable and really love their customers… it is evident. My puppy love latte was excellent and I’m looking forward to trying more things on the menu. I will definitely be coming back on a regular basis!

Stopped in with a friend for a latte and chai tea. My latte was very good. Chai tea--delicious! Lovely little coffee shop. Cozy with a bohemian feel. Hopefully in the future some outside seating to add to its charm. Looking forward to another visit.

Stopped by traveling through and we got the strawberry latte and coco mocha latte , breakfast burrito, and my kids got the strawberry smoothies and we loved everything! We will save this as a stop and come back again.
