Small town flavor meets big city taste. Visited this restaurant in a beautiful Petersburg historic building at the recommendation from a friend. Well, worth the trip.
From the crab cake appetizer, soup, Beet salad, primavera and halibut every bite was delicious! Our server EVYN was Outstanding! Great personality and made sure that we were well cared for and satisfied with our meal. We will definitely be back to enjoy this small town and this restaurant’s great food and service!

Wow! We were guided here by staff at our stop in New Salem. If you are seeking a dining experience with great food & service in a beautifully restored historical buildings put The Broadgauge at the top of your list. We had the Smash Burger, BBQ Pork sandwich, and the Douglas St Dip along with their cole slaw & homemade chips. All were prepared to perfection! We were able to enjoy walking through the building to learn about the restoration and then sit in the lounge area in the front of the building.

The food was fantastic! A great place to go for an upscale feel in our area. The building and atmosphere were really cool. Cocktails, appetizers, meals, and dessert were all impressive and well worth the price. We came for a special night and we will be back in the future!

My first time here tonight and it was AMAZING! Our server Parker was absolutely fantastic! He was very attentive and so friendly. I can honestly say I do not have a SINGLE complaint. We both got the New York strip with mashed potatoes and greens. It was the best steak I have ever tasted at a restaurant. Our original reservations were for outside but they accommodated us by finding us a table inside due to the heat which was honestly amazing of them. We will absolutely be back as it was worth EVERY PENNY! Thank you Broadgauge for an amazing anniversary dinner. ❤

The food, beverages, and ambiance are consistently excellent at this establishment. The hardworking staff are always incredible and attentive. The delectable food and ever-changing menu are highlights for me. I have tried various new dishes and always leave happy, satisfied, and eager to return. This place is truly a gem in Petersburg.

My husband and I have enjoyed lunching at Broadgauge. I love it when historic buildings are reclaimed and revitalized! The food is delicious, and the service is great. My favorite meal has been a turkey sandwich which reminds me of the full turkey dinner. I’ve opted away from the chips to the spinach salad and would do it every time. Next time I plan to take baked goods home from the bakery.

I attended a wedding at this beautiful venue and was in awe! We got a personal tour, the best catered meal and great drinks and coffee. I’m from a small town and truly didn’t expect much of this small town, but Broadgauge exceeded all of my expectations! My group of girlfriends are ready to go back just to visit this location! I give it a 100/10 ✨

Hidden gem! I happened upon this restaurant while I was driving through town and I'd say it would be worth the hour and a half drive to go again! The service was top notch - friendly & prompt even though it seemed very busy. All the food was excellent & high quality ingredients. I even ordered dessert which was well worth it. Lovely atmosphere in their beautifully renovated historic location.

Place has an amazing night time dining vibe. Great for date night or for small groups. Chop was great and sides including the broccoli were tasty. The gentleman's rib eye next to me with baked potato and side veggie looked imposing in a good way.

Now that's not all they've got going on. Just switched the brunch menu for Sunday and they've got the Talisman Cafe for baked goods, coffee and lunch. Oh and they'll have private events in the upstairs area coming as well.

There's nothing like it in the surrounding area as far as venue and food but the best is yet to come. This is the must go to for anyone in 2022.

Let's begin on the absolutely beautiful renovation. You walked into the place and 1st impressions are wow, this place is amazingly beautiful. This is a major development for Petersburg bring what has the feeling up of very upscale venue. It provokes the feeling of comfort and relaxation. The photos are just a sample of the atmosphere presented. Having spent several years in Chicago and enjoying numerous restaurants there I appreciate places like this in Central IL. Its a new place so I'm sure it adapt to the process and become a destination you truly enjoy.

Re: the Big Lebowski watch party. I had a dang good time at this event? Probably the best thing I have done all year. I would seriously love this to become an annual event. Like everything was pretty spot on. Cowboy Randy was amazing. The host was great and the audience was superb. Let's do this again next year. And if you want some extra help, just let me know.

After a gorgeous hike at New Salem, we decided to stop in at Talisman at Broadgage for lunch. I had devoured half my salad before I took a pic, but my goodness was it perfection. Every bite tasted farm-fresh and home-made from the chicken to the croutons and dressing! I never knew a salad could taste so good! The service was friendly and the atmosphere both inside and out was inviting and comfortable. We dined outside and enjoyed the shade and the views of the charming town of Petersburg. There are many fun places to eat, drink and shop nearby as well! Be sure to stop in, you’ll be glad you did!

Came out for a show upstairs, beautiful venue, tasty cocktails served by the nicest bartenders.

Excellent Brunch. High quality, very friendly staff and very clean!!! Great place to bring out-of-town guests. Treat yourself and a loved one... You won't regret it.

Dinner tonight was phenomenal. Wish I caught our server’s name because he was so friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Filet was cooked PERFECTLY and the kids meals were great too!

We were there for a bridal shower. There were 8 in our party. The drinks and food were delicious. Our waitress was very attentive. It was a great experience.

Without a doubt the best food and ambience. Well worth the drive. The bast part is having Rick as our server! He makes it more than just a meal out, he makes it an experience! I will always request to be in his section!

You need to drop everything and go here now! Food was wonderful but even better was the staff!!
We were being checked on and visited with all night and it was wonderful!! I want to move now!! Not good with names but our waiter was Parker, Jarrod showed us around and gave us the history and one other waiter was especially friendly. We will be going back!! Shrimp bucatini for me and ribeye for Dan. Oyster fritters and a beet salad. Yum!

Got brunch with my wife. Excellent food. Got the sausage breakfast sandwich and she got asparagus dish. We were able to walk in and eat right away at the bar - Sunday at 11 am. Definitely coming back to try dinner service.

The building and decor is beautiful! So classy! Attentive service and delicious food. This place is worth a drive!
