Tea Era comes highly respected and recommended from an expert tea connoisseur and boba shop owner. It’s not slick or trendy but they do have an amazing plethora of flavors and are consistent with their delivery, helpful and efficient service. What is truly impressive about them is that they are the only boba store in Mountain View partnering with Okapi Reusables- a reusable cup company app for coffee and boba cafe shops! Finally, a solution for the overwhelming one time plastic boba cups all over Mountain View…We hope more cafes participate in this local app or find solutions. A shout out to boba shop rival, Teaspoon for their compostable hard straws and roobois tea. Now if they could only combine these two…🤗 PS the Chinese next door restaurant has great beef tendon noodle soup and hand made organic dumplings…same owners I believe?

At last a reasonable priced tea shop. First one I’ve seen in three years.

I got the Japanese Green Milk Tea and it was quite good. The boba were well made and squishy.

Today I ordered a roasted barley milk tea for myself and a passion fruit green tea for my friend. They tasted refreshing and are very affordable! The service has always been friendly and efficient. I’ll definitely stop by again next time I’m in downtown Mountain View. :)

It's not just my favorite boba tea; it's the only one I go to. One reason is they have my favorite barley tea, which has no caffeine and no sugar.

Secondly, they offer a crazy variety of other options, and you can regulate the level of sweetness.

Credit card purchases can be made now by using a reader on the wall. Paying by cash is still as usual with the cashier. Tiny little space that sells large assortment of bubble teas with toppings. Watermelon drink is delicious and served only when in season. Warm wheat germ tea is good for cold weather. Can barely sit inside, but there is outdoor seating. Ask for less sugar and your wish will come true.

Overall, 5 stars. The customer service was good. I felt like my family and I were considered like fellow humans beings when we asked about the restroom. I asked some silly questions and they were answered respectfully. The atmosphere was fine. They had some cute decorations for the new year. I like how it is tied to the restaurant next door because it was very convenient and accommodating while waiting for a takeout order from the restaurant. I didn't feel uneasy—I felt welcomed, in a casual way. I ordered jasmine milk tea, hot with no sugar. That's what they gave me. The cup was suitable for a hot drink and came pre-sleeved. The drinks were actually affordable. I didn't feel ripped off.

Stumbled upon this gem of a bubble tea place. Absolutely amazing variety of teas , all made with real ingredients. The fruit teas are made of actual fruit and not artificial flavoring. I absolutely love the black sesame tea, Lychee green tea and the new tiramisu milk tea. The teas are all reasonably priced unlike almost every single tea place in the Bay Area. Absolutely love this place!

My favorite place for boba in All of California. Cash only, but it’s really affordable for boba nowadays. Such a wide variety and soooo many flavors I have yet to try.

I personally really enjoy the Coffee Milk Tea.

This is our go-to whenever we're in downtown Mountain View! My husband has been coming here for years, and introduced me.

Lots of different options to choose from, but I usually get the same things (Ceylon milk tea or Jasmine milk tea) and it's always great. Ice, toppings, and sugar level are customizable.

We love that they're partnered with the restaurant next door, Queen House, so you get $1 off your boba with your meal order, although prices are already pretty good if you just order tea.

My favorite boba tea place out of the fourteen companies I’ve tried in my lifetime. Much better than Teaspoon and even Boba Guys. The variety in flavors cannot be beat— from avocado milk juice to puer milk tea to red guava tea, the obscure flavors you’re looking for can likely be found. They have all the classics as well, of course; I always get either the Thai milk tea or strawberry milk tea. And the pricing is perfect, ranging from under $4 up to $8. My Thai tea is only $3.75. This kind of pricing is a rare treasure in Silicon Valley, especially in Downtown MV. The service is super fast (I usually wait only 2 minutes), there is a kiosk if you don’t want to interact with anyone, and the whole place has a family-owned kind of feeling. Really love this place! It’s the only boba place I go to now.

Solid. I was saved by their attention to detail as I forgot to select milk. Still one of the best places to get grass jelly as well.

We usually bought their popcorn chicken bento came with popcorn chicken, rice, veggie dish, and cold tea drink. Portion is enough for me and my two boys. The service is not friendly though but I won’t take a star for that. 😊

10/10 highly recommend, my favourite place to get boba in the Mountain View area! They have an extensive selection of the best flavours at very reasonable prices. The staff offer quick service and friendly as well. Note that they do not take payments via card - so do carry cash with you, and there might not be place to sit inside.

The OG boba spot for those in the know. Lots of flavors (including authentic and less common ones), topping options, and hot options (which is nice in the winter!). Staff are friendly and happy to offer recommendations. It is cash only so come prepared!
