Jay & Dimariana are THE BEST! I stopped going to Star-b because of them. Friendly & efficient service. They are also patient when i ask about new/ diff drinks or food items. The coffee here is also Top Notch/ Strong, just the way i like it. When family visit from out of town, they can’t wait to go to Canal w me.

Jay is an amazing barista at recommending for a car full of different flavours. Car full, more than several opinions and desired caffeinated taste. Great conversationalist and ensuring we absolutely loved everything! Thank you so much!!

I love going to Canal Coffe Co. I go out of my way sometimes to get coffee here instead of anywhere else. The service is always awesome, and the coffee is top notch. I'm usually in a hurry, so their double drive-through model makes life a lot easier for me.

I’ll start this by saying I am not a frequent coffee drinker; but on the rare case that I do ever want a cup of coffee I always find myself coming here. The coffee and any other drink you’ll get here is just something out of this world. As well to top it off the employees, namely Jay and Demariana are some of the most hardworking, personable and just plain wonderful to be around people on this planet. And even if you don’t know what you want, I’d be willing to bet anything Jay will either find something or create something that will absolutely rock your world and keep you coming back to the best coffee shop in Columbia.

I absolutely love Canal! I go at least once a week! I love bringing my dog, they always have treats or I get a pup cup for them! Jay and Demarina are amazing! When I’m not sure what to get they always recommend something that hits the spot!

My go to coffee place. The drinks are always perfectly crafted. I don’t live in SC but visit often and when I’m in town I have to stop by this location and get my usual drink. The baristas remember me even when it’s been a month or two between visits and I love that. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Finally gave up on Starbucks and their super high prices and underwhelming coffee. 8.15 for a cup of coffee is ridiculous!

So I decided to try Canal Coffee today and I’m hooked! Not only is it way cheaper.. the coffee is great! This day and age with the cost of doing anything, quality and cost is important! So long Starbucks!

Jay was my barista and she was fabulous! I told her that i was looking for something sugar free and let her choose what to make for me. She went above and beyond to make sure my drink was delicious and she was super sweet!! I will definitely be back.

Mar 2024. Another early morning stop for my road coffee on the way to Charlotte Airport.

We go to the South Congaree location, we absolutely love the staff, and are pleased every time with whatever we order! They are friendly and fun and fast! Our only issue is, we worry about them, standing out in the cold, to take orders, when clearly, they can only make coffee so fast. Please don’t make those girls stand out in the cold anymore.

I absolutely LOVE this coffee place! The coffee is incredible and affordable and the staff are ALWAYS so kind AND quick! Their app is super easy to use and efficient! It’s absolutely my most favorite and recommended coffee stop! It’s become a family treat for sure!

There were 2 other cars in front of me, and I still got my order much faster than the competition down the road! Coffee was piping hot and tasted great!

Emily the general manager is a true delight. Everytime we come in she's smiling, happy, and just ready to make our day a little better! We've seen a huge difference in the quality of Canal lately! We love it there.

I can admit when I'm wrong. Whil, I wrote a review about a year ago how mad I was that everything changed from Human Bean but my impatience fueled a valid but premature opinion of Canal Coffee. Its my daily spot. The workers are freaking phenomenal, the drinks are freaking delicious, I do miss the coffee bean but the deals on drinks make up for it 10 fold. The drive through is quick the seating area is comfortable and has covered seating but not very easily accessible by car. Great job Canal, love you guys! ❤❤❤

I came to get a coffee early in the morning. I was greeted by Brice and he made me a delicious iced latte. Definitely will be going back Thank you !

Devin is great! We come just about every day and he is the only one who remembers our order ( we get the same thing every time) He is very energetic and makes you feel like he’s happy to see us every time.

Food was excellent. The Maple Waffle breakfast sandwich and Spinach & Feta stuffed pretzel was on-point. The two young ladies that helped us were quick, efficient, and professionally friendly.

My only issue is the location. No issues with being drive-thru and pick up window only. But if you're going to the pickup window, you're crossing drive-thru lanes. So I wouldn't recommend doing that with small children even though there is decent outdoor seating.

But will definitely make this a regular visit.
