We loved Fairway Forest Resort!!

We had an incredible week at Fairway Forest Resort! The unit was large, clean, quiet with an INCREDIBLE top-deck that was almost into the woods along the golf course. EVERYTHING was furnished from the shower gel/shampoo to the paper towels and coffee in the kitchen. All appliances worked and did I mention how CLEAN the unit was? We will definitely return!

I would say that this place is a hidden gem. It was quiet, not crowded, and just a peaceful, somewhat adventurous getaway. Have fun paddleboating the lake. Go see the waterfalls. Enjoy the views from the balconies. Enjoy the super safe fireplace. Take it easy with the kids with some arcade, putt putt, and indoor pool.

Although the property doesn't have the amenities onsite, everything is close by and only available to resort guests. We took a kayak on the lake nearby and checked out the rec center. The accommodations were clean and complete with all the kitchen stuff we needed except for a blender. The stairs were fine although that might not work for everyone.

Beautiful suite - a deluxe 1 bedroom - great view, ultra-clean and very pleasant staff. But amenities cost an extra amount not covered in the room charge which we only learned at check-in.

Excellence all around! Jenny Costa is the best, most professional customer service professional I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
Pro tip: We prefer the upper level units over the lower level units. Noise from the upper units transfers pretty easily to the lower units.

Hubby and I came here to get away. Filled that desire perfectly. Wish there was better internet service available while traveling in this area. It's terribly frustrating. The resort had good service. The roads are pretty dangerous at night as they're dark and very windy. (Switchbacks) Entertainment, shopping and restaurants are about 20 minutes away in Cashiers. Our room had recently been renovated, but the living room furniture was very uncomfortable to sit on. We took the back cushions off the couch and used bedroom pillows instead. (That was much better.) The rest of the unit was very well designed. The electric fireplace was very much appreciated. The other criticism would be that they don't supply hand soap in the bathrooms. They had a mounted hand cream dispenser where soap should have been. The master suite in our 2-bed/2bath unit was down a flight of stairs, which we found odd since its bathroom is designed for handicap. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt rested and relaxed by the end of the week. Whitewater Falls and the Dry Falls were within a reasonable drive and made a beautiful day trip. They DO CHARGE an amenities fee of $157.50 for the week. (Most of which were closed due to the timing of our trip) They supply the DVD player and a bag of microwave popcorn if you want to rent a movie for $3/nt. You have to drive 1.7mi to get to the amenities. Thank you for the R&R. We'll be back.

Great little find last minute. Super cute condo with the main kitchen cooking stuff, comfy beds and good shower pressure. Super easy to communicate with management company and very small town friendly. We drove the 1.5 miles to the pool 4x in our 2 night stay. They have saunas, hot tubs, indoor and outdoor pools plus an arcade so fun for our 3 year old. I ran all around the condos/golf course and the roads are great and it was a super pretty and very hard run with the hills but worth it. We would definitely stay here again. We were in building 25 unit 1253B.

I may be biased as an owner, but this is a wonderful get away location. We recently purchased a 1 bedroom (loft) town home for our use and is available on VRBO. We are excited about the getaway location and all the amenities available for use. The neighbors are wonderful; the walks are peaceful and the weather is excellent!

The lake is beautiful and as a part of the amenities available, kayaking and swimming are available.

Whether you stay with us or another rental, this is a place that once you experience it, will bring you back annually.

We are here now! Do not hesitate to book this resort. Always ask for a newly renovated unit. We are in one of the renovated units and there is absolutely nothing wrong in here. Everything is new and in perfect condition. Fairway resort sits in the forest on a beautiful golf course. There is so much to do in the area. Gem mining, lake fishing, swimming, hiking to waterfalls, golf, walking, games, tubing trout farm fishing. Drive carefully and you will arrive alive to see a lot. Go into Cashiers about a mile and a half for tons of recreational opportunities. The check in staff was extremely nice! We will be back!

Situated in Sapphire, NC, with a quiet setting five miles from Cashiers. The condo was comfortable with a private balcony. Didn't hear any neighbors. Private lake with swimming, boating and fishing. Bear country and although I saw none, I wouldn't go for a sunset walk. Great restaurants nearby. We'll be back!

This was our first time at Fairway Forrest Resort. This was a family trip, and we were impressed by the renovations that were done to our room. We stayed in a two bedroom golf villa. We had two separate private decks to view the golf course. We stayed in building 6 unit 1361. I will say it's a drive through the mountains, so be prepared if never drove in that area. It was very quiet, and the community and recreation centers were a short mile or so drive about 5 minutes worth. I will say the activities are shared with multiple resorts nearby. Thankfully, nothing was crowded at all. There is also a Zipline Course, which has 12 lines for the upper course and 7 for the lower course, which our kids loved! The upper course is up to 70 feet and lower 35 feet. Takes about 1.5 hours from start to finish. Gorges State Park seemed the closest and has Rainbow and Turtle back falls. There is at least a 2-mile hike one way, and I would not recommend it to anyone who isn't prepared but is a great adventure with pleasant views and a fresh cool breeze from time to time. There is a grocery store Ingles about 5 miles away, which has a Starbucks and some local restaurants which are very nice. I did not see any chain restrictions in the area, so it was a nice change of pace from the usual selections.

The resort cabins/condo are clean, surrounded by beautiful surroundings, private and the staff are truly considerate of your needs. It’s just a joy to visit! I love the two bedroom units that include two levels, full kitchen , 2 balconies overlooking plush green ( or snow in winter) scenery, full living room, fireplace, washer dryer and a huge hot tub.

We came up for a couples weekend. We liked the private entrance. Surrounded by the golf course, it was peaceful and a little secluded which was perfect. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom. It was nice and clean. Loved the balcony. Washer and dryer in our condo was useful. Fireplace was a nice touch. We would definitely come again.

Cool place, wish we would have been able to have one of the updated units though. It was hard to find in the dark, rental car GPS does not work well up in the mountain! We saw wild life, dear with 2 fawns off our back balcony! Saw a small bear cross the road on while driving. Cool to see but made me nervous about driving the winding twisty roads. Lots to do. Nice indoor and out door pool. Rented a fishing boat, that was nice.

I rented the 2 bedroom with jacuzzi tub. I'm here now. It's actually more like a townhouse which makes it more unique. On the main floor there is a large bathroom, a bedroom with 2 twin size beds, a large dining room and kitchen, a living room with wood burning fireplace and 2 separate entrances to the porch. Downstairs there is a really large bathroom with extra large jacuzzi, huge mirror and a large window at the tub, there's also a washer/dryer master bedroom with super comfy pillows and bedding and a whole other porch. Everything is really clean and pretty perfect. You have to drive to the community center for the pools or lake and I wish the pools were a lot closer but that's the only negative

If someone is complaining about the place being outdated, it’s because there are some of the units that are outdated and they actually don’t want you staying in those. They push the updated units but if you want a jacuzzi tub you have to stay in the outdated ones. Diamond resorts are very clean. We had a nice quick getaway and enjoyed our stay here. The people at the rec area were really helpful. The workout area is really nice.
