Ember Restaurant

Update: I came back the next week since I was in town again and got three different dishes and all were very good. Deep fried quail, pepperoni pizza, and asparagus carbonara. I recommend any of these. Also shout out to Cayden (spelling) and Cindy. Top shelf service. Cayden remembered me from the previous week.

Very good food. The bread they bring out is focaccia bread and it is really good. I also got the sea bass for my entree and two different appetizers. The first appetizer was an albacore appetizer and the second one was the roasted cauliflower steak. Both were very good and the sea bass was some of the best I've had. I'll be back to eat here next time I'm in town.

My wife and I visited for a special occasion. We got a reservation on short notice. We ordered the pork shoulder, 50 layer lasagna, the pizza with lamb and ricotta, and the toasted marshmallow dessert. Our favorite was the toasted marshmallow! We are definitely coming again.

Food is always excellent here! Was a little disappointed with having to wait 40 minutes on top of our reservation. They are busy and tried to make accommodations for us but we ended up being sat next to the a door to the patio area which ended up being very breezy. A nice atmosphere despite that, and the table service is top notch.

This place was a perfect place for date night. A good vibe and plenty of space between tables so it doesn’t feel like you’re sitting on top of the group next to you. The 50 layer lasagna was delicious and the dessert was on point. Had reservations and still had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated, but it was worth the wait.

Ember has become my favorite restaurant and I will always recommend to anyone that wants a superb meal! I always make sure to make a reservation right when they open because I love watching the atmosphere change to dim and busy, and it is a little quieter. The staff is knowledgeable and such a joy to talk to! I usually never like vegetables from restaurants, but Ember knows how to cook them. I always eat them first! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.. it is all so delicious!

Ember was a nice surprise. We made a reservation last minute and we were seated a few minutes after our reservation.

We opted for a pizza as an appetizer and it was great. The crust was delicious, it was served promptly and in order.

For our main course we went with a rib eye that was cooked to our specification. Very tender, and the potatoes were also great.

I ordered a Cabernet Franc, the bottle paired really well with our rib eye. Delicious bottle for a reasonable price.

Dessert was great. The toasted marshmallow is the special one. The others were pretty standard. Good but nothing special. Toasted marshmallow was great.

Service was good, also. Attentive, quick and friendly.

The best part of this was the price: $300 or so for four people, with wine and dessert.

Great experience, I’d go back.

It’s one of the best restaurants I’ve been to.
We had two ribeye stakes and they were delicious! The amount was plenty, so you could even share one between two people.
We also had some mi es drinks and they didn’t disappoint.
For dessert we had to have the Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream and it was amazing! It’s really good when you pair it with a coffee to counter balance the flavor.

Absolutely grand! Beginning with drinks and that wonderful bread, to a steak cooked to perfection, then dessert! Plus reservations make it very easy. Definitely going again and again. Shout out to Michael for personable knowledgeable service.

Been here about five times and every single time was amazing. The menu changes every so often, which could be a good or bad thing. Bad because, if you eat something you absolutely love, the menu is going to change. The good thing is, every time the menu does change, it is still amazing. Each dish is like a work of art. Not only is it pleasant to the taste buds, but to the eyes as well.

I frequent this establishment with my wife, on date nights, and we eagerly anticipate new menus. It's like anticipating the next book from your favorite author and never being disappointed.

I wouldn't consider this a family restaurant because the prices are a bit on the steep side, although, they have wood oven pizza for kids if they join you. This is a great "date night" or "friends get together" outing.

I believe the ingredients are from local farms, so that is assuring of freshness. There really isn't anything negative I can say about this restaurant. The photos submitted are of an espresso martini, which was DELICIOUS, and dessert. I believe it was a chocolate terrine. I didn't get a picture of the main course or appetizer because I just forgot and dug right in.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. It is rustic in decor, but it feels creative and has great energy. The chef is amazing. I love it when you taste something and it’s so delicious that you have to figure it out and then you are shocked to learn what yummy things are in it. The Woodfire oven makes everything taste so good. The sides, desserts, And salads Have unexpected and delicious surprises in them. We usually go to the central Coast from Orange County for wine and we have to drive about 40 minutes to go to Ember from where we stay but it is worth it every time.

Delicious pizza, 50 layered lasagne and the best dessert we’ve ever had (chocolate cake, ice cream, hazelnut crunch, salted caramel and marshmallow). The service was very good - prompt and friendly. A great ambience and high quality tasty food

Best meal ever!!!!! The wood-fire stove had me in the door and the amazingly friendly and happy hostess had me excited. Chose an array of apps and entrees to share with my party of 4 and we were all taken on a spectacular and delicious ride of culinary excellence! Every aspect of the experience from expectation, to greeting, to introduction, to information, to the atmosphere, to the drinks, and best of all the food was the best I've ever had. Hugest compliments to the kitchen for cooking with passion and thanks to the staff for making every customer feel special and valued. As we left the entire staff including the kitchen and head chef waved goodbye and thanked us for coming in. It was an unforgettable meal that I am thankful for and will enjoy again!

Ember is always an exquisite experience! The menu changes monthly so there are new and exciting things to try. They always have their pizza options, one of their signatures, along with steak, fish and poultry with delectable pairings of sides and prepared in creative and mouth watering ways.

The crew are all very friendly, nice and helpful. It's fun to watch the chefs work their magic in the open view kitchen with their famous brick oven. They have comfortable indoor and outdoor dining as well as bar seating. The atmosphere is elegant and lively.

Being parents of two beautiful young Daughters, we don't get out much so it had been a while since we last visited Ember and we learned that they now accept reservations so it would likely be a good idea to set that up in advance. We arrived just about 4:30p and were able to get a seat easily as there were only a few other parties there at that time, but when we inquired about dessert we were told that our table had a 6p reservation so we didn't have much time. That was disappointing since we still had wine to finish, we certainly felt a bit rushed at the end and weren't able to enjoy some dessert.

What a nice surprise! Wish there were more establishments like this. The food is excellent, the team so so friendly! Passed through driving up from LA to SF but it’s so good we’ll be back just to spend the evening to dine at Ember. Loved everything we ordered but in particular the 50 layer lasagna was a stand out!

The BEST restaurant. One of my favourite in California. The service, the meals, the vibes were all amazing. This is a MUST visit. The menu changes daily but some of their classics are always available.

Loved it! They have tons of outdoor dining but definitely reserve in advance. They are quite the popular restaurant and deservedly so. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The persimmon salad, pasta and duck Ragu, and the 50-layer lasagna verde. Next time we come, we will try the toasted marshmallow ice cream cocoa cake!

Great experience and wonderful customer service! Our server, Joey, was great - he remembered us from our last visit in 2020. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing; great service all around, this place is highly recommended! We enjoyed the Avocado Salad and Grilled Filet Mignon 👌

Every time I come here the food is always amazing and often there's a touch of something fun and unexpected. Great beer and wine selection. They also pull a decent espresso. I rarely order dessert, but the oven toasted marshmallow is a must. Think salty, sweet, gooey, and crunchy all in one!

Listen! I don’t think I’ve ever given this high a rating to any restaurant in the US. Ember was worth the hype. We can’t wait to return. My steak was cooked perfectly. The entire dish ate well. The mezcal cocktail was delicious. Dessert was decadent and not too sweet. The ambiance was lovely and intimate.

Enter- EMBER

Only a half mile walk from our hotel, (making a reservation is highly recommend.) made it a top contender for dinner, my husband having it saved away as a place to “check out” on his phone put it up a notch or two… it not being anything we can make at home made it the place to go.

From the moment we walked in we noticed the perfectly curated cocktails and wines went with each and ever dish, so much so, that an idiot could make a perfect combo with very little guidance from the staff. (Though at every level the staff are experts that can answer any question you may have about the menus.) We decided to share an appetizer and main dish.
My husband had an couple of old fashions, while I had a Ron Swanson and then a recommendation from the sever that I now forget the name of but was pink/red with a square ice cube, whiskey and a bamboo swizzle stick with a blueberry…. All were made so perfectly. I have never had a more well executed old fashioned in the last 15+ years. The ron Swanson … omg! Yes, the bacon goes perfectly. We had the wagyu beef tartare that was out standing. After we shared the lamb and spicy pepper pizza. It is not too spicy for you weaklings but perfect for those that need a slight kick. Way more layers of flavor, one of those… you tell me what you get, amazing flavor profiles.

This diamond has a lot to offer, even the buss boys are killing it! This will be “our” spot whenever we are in town. If you like seasoning… this is your place. 10, 10, 10! 10s across the board!
