Yacht Basin Marina

In late Spring I purchased a 1988 268 Sea Ray, heavily oxidized and needed some love. I stopped at several marinas and boat service places and was given a bit of a cold shoulder, mainly because of the boats age. Not sure why, lots of boats are older. Then I stopped at the Yacht Basin Marina and everyone there was very friendly, professional and made me feel welcome. We set up a time to do a sea trial and that is when all the fun began.

We found that the lower unit needed some attention so they got to work ordering new parts and got that all back in shape. There were a number of other things that needed to be fixed, and while we were at it they also added a number of upgrades, like Garmin Chart plotters, Livescope, radio, rebuilt some of the main power and charging system, auto trim tabs, etc. Water pump for washing the deck, a new head, and a number of other odds and ends, creating a very beautiful and functional boat.

They worked with me so I could pick it up now and then so my son and I could wash, remove all the pinstriping, sand and buff the hull. I am very happy with Joe and his team at the Yacht Basin Marina. The only down part is that it is the end of the summer. But Spring is not far away! Super excited to get on the big lake!

We have stored for winters at Yacht Basin since 2016 and couldn't be happier with the staff and the facilities. We have had them do maintenance and warranty work and they have been thorough and easy to communicate with. Very fair on pricing for service, parts and accessories. Thanks for everything! Tom

My wife and I were bringing our new boat down from Grand Haven to St. Joe. 10-15 minutes before Holland, our port side motor wasn’t getting enough gas... Clogged fuel filter🥴
My wife called the Yacht Basin Marina and Paul answered. He told us to call once we were closer and that he would stay open late for us. My wife called back (marina was now closed), and sure enough Paul answered and was there and ready to help us!
Not only did Paul stay open later for us, he came on our boat to offer a hand and let us borrow some much needed tools.
We can’t say enough about Paul for delaying his weekend and helping out us in a time of need!!! He helped make our maiden voyage home, a successful and safe one.

My parents' boat is docked here. They have great service and a lot of available amenities. There is also a pool and restaurant that has live bands.

Fish cleaning station was very clean, dock hands were really helpful.

My boat is stored there in heated indoor facilities with on-season in and out services. My experience there has been excellent. The office people (Gwen) are very helpful. Service people (Corey) are great communicators. The guys on the dock are also very helpful and friendly. Good marine store. Nice pool. Even got a bar. It is a boat owner's every wish come true.

Nice, quiet marina. I always enjoy my visits there. The grounds are well maintained. The facilities are clean and the pool is very nice. LoLo's bar/restaurant is open to the public

Yacht Basin did a full electronics install for my boat with 3 displays, radar, networked devices, etc. All of it was done with excellent attention to detail, they understand the complexity and plan for the install with a depth of knowledge that only comes from years in the business. My boat was done on time with everything sorted and all the devices properly linked together. Great communication along the way made it easy to make in process decisions as the install progressed. Well done!

Cory in service is super helpful. I emailed him with an error code my boat was putting out. He emailed and called me.
I didn’t get to use them as my service provider since they were scheduling out 4+ weeks. I hope I don’t regret not using them.

Great place to launch your boat!

What can I say about Yacht Basin Arena? The answer is: plenty. I could pontificate ad nauseum about the high quality of their facilities, be it their cleanliness or convenience. Your time is precious, so I'll just say, it was bliss.

There were boats there, which I admit is a huge turn off.

This place would be Xanadu if not for all the boats.

Basketball hoop available.

Went for a sail boat ride, excellent. Nancy Anne Sailing Charters with Capt Pat and Peter was wonderful. We are definitely going again. Party Store was nice, organized.

I love this place. Great atmosphere, helpful staff. Lots of good amenities. Pool, restaurants, convenience store, marine service, slips, fuel dock... full service and friendly people.

I only dock my mega yacht at the basin.

Wow! Wow! Wow! These guys treated me like family (like the family you like). I could single out each member of the team but it will be shorter to say without exception the guys and gals went above and beyond to help us get our boat surveyed, serviced and on our adventure back to Charleston, SC.

My wife and I had the good fortune to buy a boat in Holland, MI just as Hurricane Matthew decided to roll through SC. Needless to say the boat had to wait, until the team at Yacht Basin Marina steeped in to get it done! They are the definition of full service. They coordinated everything for me, even the few items not in their scope of service...

If you have ever owned a boat, you know how difficult it can be sometimes even in your home port to get things done, let alone a 1000 miles from home where you know no one. I honestly felt like they were working on their own boat. They kept us informed of the schedule, even apologized once for a delay that was not their fault. Oh and by the way all this right in the middle of haul out season which we knew nothing about.

We live in Charleston, SC but have decided Yacht Basin Marina is our Home Port. Can't wait to see these folks again this summer.
