Best bloody mary & Blue Gill in Portage! Overall it's a friendly atmosphere and we had great service. The fun bartenders are a huge bonus too. 😉💗

I did the fish fry. Hubby got chicken strips. Was really good food, the potato pancakes were phenomenal!! Our waitress was awesome and so helpful! Will definitely go back...loved the atmosphere as well!!

This place has a cute western vibe to it. The burgers were AMAZING. We got the July special “sticky burger” and the mac’n’cheese burger. They were also very accommodating and were able to provide a side salad instead of a fried side. Will be back for another burger.

Great service, food, and staff! Our server (gentleman with dark hair & glasses) was very friendly and food was delicious. It was our first time in Portage, WI and we will definitely be coming back! Definitely recommend!

Food was outstanding and service was wonderful. Very pleasant bartender. Place is clean and music isn't blaring. Comfortable lighting with good ambience.

We were a group of nine in for lunch and had a great time. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and the food was pretty darn good! This is our third trip to the restaurant and are already planning the 4th.

Stopped for a late lunch after visiting Aldo Leopold’s shack. The waitress was super nice and served us quickly with just the right amount of attention.

My wife had a delicious grilled chicken panini sandwich with onion marmalade, bacon, chipotle, and Swiss cheese. I had the Ruben on a marbled rye panini which was excellent as well. Both had true cuts of meat, not deli slices.

We both had the fresh made potato chips that came hot; very good with the just right amount of salt.

The Sunday bloody bar is perfect with CRISPY bacon, make your own mix, and plenty of add-ons. We had the steak quesadilla (AMAZING), with a cubano and chicken marmalade sandwich. Both were perfection. The fries that came with my cubano were phenomenal. Super friendly staff that is not too push and does their job very well. We will 100% be back multiple times this summer.

On our way through to go to a karate tournament and banquet, we came across this great place. The gentleman that took our order was very nice and courteous. We received our appetizers in a timely manner and food shortly after. will definitely go back.

Food was more than amazing! The bartender and server were awesome, to say the least! Prices weren't the cheapest, but it was worth every last penny. If you get to Portage, I would highly recommend you to stop and try them.

THE SWEET POTATO FRIES! I saw a review that said they were the best they had ever eaten and that is no exaggeration. They were crispy and soft and flavorful.

This place was so good I woke up the next day having dreamed of eating more of their food and went back to try out more items on the menu.

The crispy chicken sandwich was simple, flavorful, and well made. The sauce to dip the sweet potato fries in paired beautifully with them. The pulled pork sandwich was so good I ate it slower and slower because I didn't want the experience to end. Even the regular fries were delicious tho I definitely prefer the sweet potato fries.

Friendly staff and very good food. Been here a few times and enjoyed it every time. Bloody Marys are worth it.

The 1873 Grill is a good stop for a bar type meal. It features a full bar with a good beer selection. The menu is a good mix of $10 to $15 sandwich.

The Porker and Mac n cheese burger is awesome.

Very nice and friendly staff. Pete our server was great! I had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries and my husband had a pork sandwich with cheese curds, and a whiskey old fashioned. Food was really good! We will definitely be stopping again on our way through Portage.

Nice selection from the menu. Was at restaurant Saturday evening. Interesting history of restaurant. Great place to watch superbowl or sports. Friendly staff. Relaxing place to eat.

We stopped here for lunch on our way home from the Dells. I had the Cubano panini, and my husband had the tenderloin sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious! The sweet potato fries were so good, too! Friendly service. It's definitely worth stopping.

I highly recommend the burgers; they were fresh and cooked correctly. Loved the fries that accompany them. Come hungry as the portions are large. Our server was friendly. It looks like a good place to watch a game too.

Always make time for this place. Specials every day of the week and lots of space for seating and parties.

We all had delicious sandwiches (2 tenderloin and 1 burger). Cooked perfectly, very flavorful. Great service. Will stop there again.
