Ruby's Family Restaurant

My Mom and I came in here in a huge rush, and John greeted us. He took our order super quickly and the order process was super easy and fast. John seemed to understand we were in a hurry even tho we didn't say it. Our food was out in less than 10 minutes and we ordered 3 different dishes. My breakfast platter was really delicious, crispy bacon, tasty scrambled eggs and a generous portion of hash browns. The burger and fries we ordered were very delicious, and my mother thoroughly enjoyed her breakfast veggie burrito. All in all we are very happy customers. My only complaint is that we didn't have time to sit down and eat, as the restaurant atmosphere seemed very comfortable. Thanks John!

I ordered the new quesabirria tacos. They were very good and it was a huge portion of birria.

My husband ordered a build your own omelet. He said it was great and that the hashbrowns were outstanding. The best part of our experience was Remy! Outstanding service, so friendly. Remy made us feel extremely welcome. Thank you!

This place is really nice. Had a good dish made up just right. Monica my server was wonderful. First time here and won't be the last.

I love this place more every time we go. Just had bfast there. Definitely recommend the Gnocchi Breakfast! So yummy. Hubby had the Avocado Toast...also very tasty. Great service too. Rose was training a server who rocked it on her own too! Sure the decor may be dated and the parking lot could use some attention, but the music was good and the food has consistently been delicious

We had a great meal and experience at Ruby’s today. We had a large breakfast skillet, a patty melt, chicken salad melt sandwich, and eggs, sausage, toast plate ($12, not $15 as another review stated). The fries were really good!

Service was great, friendly and attentive. Plenty of refills and check ins.

The space is a little older and the decor is a little outdated.

With a tip, our meal was $80. We didn’t feel like it was out of line and the portions were large. This included three beverages.

Took my little kids here for breakfast during the week. It was great - not too busy and had quick service! Food was so good. Hashbrowns and banana Nutella French toast specifically were great. Good chill music and vibes all around!

I cannot enough emphasize my love for this restaurant. It is SO GOOD. In my opinion my mom makes the best pancakes. For a long time we would pass by this restaurant and make jokes about how it used to be a Perkins. Ruby’s is NOT messing around. They make one of THE BEST pancakes I have ever had. If I were to describe it, I would say it tastes like a chocolate chip cookie without chocolate chips. (You can add them if desired.) When I come I usually get the Ham and Cheese omelet, and a short stack of pancakes. The portions are huge and SO GOOD. The ham in the omelet almost seems to be fried, and the hash browns are perfect. If you like Perkins, you NEED to go here. After eating here, I can never go back to the sad food of Perkins.

The overall experience was pretty enjoyable. The service was great, our waitress was very polite. I believe her name was Alyssa . The price is a little up there but anything is nowadays. The biscuits and gravy have a different spin on them with your choice of eggs on top of the biscuits then gravy on top of eggs with hash browns too. For traditional french toast they were a bit cinnamony for me but otherwise tasted great also got a short stack pancake to go for my daughter after preschool.

Amazing gem in Shakopee! Food was DELICIOUS!! Great service!! Cajun breakfast was fabulous and the caramel waffle was mouth watering. I would definitely recommend stopping by and eating a wonderful meal.

I ordered huevos rancheros which were an over easy egg on top of a tostadas smeared with refried beans (wish it would’ve ha slightly more beans) but regardless it was fantastic. The eggs were cooked exactly how I ordered them -all the white part cooked and the yolk runny.
The other person that was with me ordered enchiladas which were amazing as well, they had like a smoked chipotle pepper taste to them but it wasn’t overwhelming, the chorizo in there gave it a great taste. (Also, next time I’m going to order the huevos rancheros but going to add chorizo)
The coffee was freshly made and tasted great. #Ollieaventuras totally approved of the place as it was calm and bathroom had a changing table that was clean with a working strap.
The service was fast and efficient, however we didn’t feel like we were rushed out of there like we have in other places. Very family friendly place. Whoever is the cook at this place is wonderful at what they do - the tostadas were crunchy to perfection.

I’ve never had a bad meal here but haven’t stopped by for a while. They’ve definitely hit their stride since opening and have really found their sweet spot. Definitely stop in.

The food was really good, and the service was great. The dining room is spacious and very nice. We're enjoyed our meal very much and we'd certainly go back again.

The food is amazing here. I always love ordering the chicken mushroom penne pasta. The taste is not just great but the plating is great as well. I took a picture of the brownie sundae I ordered today. Yes I ate some before taking the photo. I also wanted to say whether if you're hungry for breakfast, lunch or dinner... its all served all day long.

My experience here was great. The waitress that we had this morning was really nice and friendly and the place looks recently remodeled and the interior looks great it has a warm cozy relaxed type of environment. The food I had was good for a decent price. My mom's review- My veggie omelet was tasty. The coffee was good. Would visit again.

Great service, great food. Everything really fresh. Will be back. Edit: 5 visits now, each fantastic. Food is so fresh and tasty. I had the country fried steak recently and it was amazing. Usually restaurants use poor quality steak. Not here, it was fresh and moist and tasty. Please keep the quality up and I'll keep coming back!

Food was excellent and being family restaurant, they are able to maintain a unique taste for all common items. I would love to go there again soon. We went in a weekend and had to wait a bit for the food, but worth waiting.

My daughter and I were driving by Ruby's on our way to eat somewhere else. On a whim we decided to try here instead, which proved to be a great choice. The food, service, and atmosphere were all better than we expected. The prices are in line with other options in the area.

Only one less star for food due to the Tuna Melt leaving. If you guys bring it back, I’ll buy one everyday I swear. Please. It was the best, and I’m pregnant so it’s truly all I want.

Very attentive servers, the food was exceptional! Fried pickle appetizers were light, airie, and the largest portion that we had ever seen. The cajun dipping sauce was perfect. We had a Cuban and a Reuben, they were both top notch! I don't understand why the place isn't packed all of the time?
