Absolutely love this post office! They delivered our personal and business mail for 10 years with no problems whatsoever. Same delivery time daily, no mail lost or mishandled and extremely personable employees. We moved last year into Frederick's north jurisdiction....and it is the worst I've experienced in my 54 yrs of life!! If I need to go to the post office for anything... I drive to the Walkersville location.

One of the best Post Offices I have experienced. The employees have a thankless job, but still provide very good customer service.

Thank you to four staff members......Jack Felton. Elmar, Dennis, and Anita.
Thank you all for your attention to detail in the location of two boxes valued at $800.
Your diligence in the search for two priority mail boxes has been successful and most appreciated.
I won't hesitate to ship via USPS 3000 miles away when mailing items through Walkersvile in the future, My compliments....Marjorie Lanning Sons

I have never encountered any problems. I am there almost every day. The PO box fee is very reasonable, there's hardly ever any lines and they have always been good delivering my items. Dennis, Anita and Nadia are very good. The only thing that is completely annoying is the closing during lunch hour from 12-1. Maybe that's what keeps them happy and if they are happy they will have a better time of things on the job. The mid afternoon closing is not what I like and I think it would be real easy to have a rotating lunch hour like a lot of places do, but if it makes them happy and better so be it. The only reason I can't give 4 stars here. I wish I could break for an hour. I'd be happier too.

If you take a package in to be mailed, you get great service. Delivery service is less consistent.

The people here have no pride in their storefront. Mail room is visible from lobby, and is old, dilapidated, unprofessional looking. USPS needs to be privatized. Nice people, but feels like Kmart in the 1980's, only it is 2022. What business closes for an hour during lunch time exactly when customers are most likely/able to run to the post office?

I am giving 3 stars because I am so fed up with our Mailman in our development always mixing up our mail with our neighbors who live on the court and we live on Drive we have the same street number and same street name.
They just don't pay attention between Court and Drive. Our packages say they have been delivered and put on our porch when they haven't been and we have security cameras so proof of non delivery. I have no problem with the employees who work at the counter inside the Post Office they are all very nice.

The Post office is fine. Closing a P.O. for lunch belongs in a third world country. Can you imagine a private business closing at the time most useful to customers. How about having one employee their at all times during the business day.

Letter delivery is fine, but they consistently deliver packages to the wrong address. Sometimes my neighbors bring them to me, other times I never get them at all. "Informed Delivery" says they were delivered (but not to me). Contacting USPS does nothing. Calling them does nothing. All they say is "That shouldn't happen". But it does. All the time. How hard is it verify the address on the label? Is the problem with sorting at the post office, or does the person delivering the packages not check the address?

Mail left in the box does not get picked up. The post office does not answer their phone.

Long review short: Too lazy to do their job, disgustingly rude and unprofessional. Entirely disrespectful over the phone. I get it if they didn’t have the package or sincerely can’t deliver it, but nothing excuses such an attitude when asked a question “where is my package?”

Long story: Boy do I have a tale for you. I missed a flight, and long story short I’m stuck in Maryland (where I am a resident) and my suitcase is in Washington state with my partner. There are nearly $100 worth of products in that suitcase, including essential lotions for my eczema, which is in its worse condition due to it being winter. No biggie, my partner pays for express shipping and I’m told it’ll be here in three days. Today it is officially over two WEEKS. I have since received a package from my partner’s mother (which took three days to ship, non-express) of Christmas gifts. So my partner is calling and calling and being told my package won’t be here until the 11th, which is absolutely unacceptable. So my partner calls this post office, TODAY, and gets hung up on TWICE. They are simply “too busy” as they have stated. Disgusting behavior and unprofessional. Get a better job if you’re “too busy” to deliver the goshdarn package.
