Couldn’t have been more pleased, the experience was everything I hoped for and more. I had more than adequate time to try on dresses and even tried on a couple more than once bc I was deliberating between 2 options. My consultant was very pleasant and conversational offering speedy assistance and helpful feedback. The owner’s little girl was adorable. I so appreciated the private dressing room with a cold bottle of water and robes for comfort. The printed picture of my finance and me was the most heartwarming touch. I will recommend this place to anyone who will listen. I’m from Arlington, VA and was well worth the drive.

The store is beautiful and well organized and they run a very smooth operation. Marissa made me feel so welcomed and so gleeful during this experience. Like she was a personal friend. She picked out the best dresses (one of which was THEE dress!) helped me in and out of everything, gave me incredible feedback and tips and made the experience such a warm, friendly, memorable moment. It was a moment I’ll never forget and I’m so glad Marissa was a part of that. She’s my bridal dress buddy! Lol. Awesome overall experience.

Shopping at Serendipity was such a wonderful experience! From the start, Janice and the team were extremely communicative over both email and text, and the store was absolutely beautiful. Marissa was my consultant and she was so great to work with, it felt like shopping with a friend. I found my dress on the first appointment but didn’t say yes to it until the third, and Marissa was so patient and kind during the entire process. This shop is such a gem for the Southern Maryland area, I highly recommend it.

I had the most amazing experience at Serendipity. Truthfully, I did not plan on saying Yes to the Dress, but Serendipity caught me by a surprise. I had a vision how I wanted my dress to look, and Marissa helped me step out my comfort zone and I said Yes to the most beautiful dress. Marissa and the rest of the staff was super helpful, accommodating, fun, and made me feel so comfortable. Additionally, my dress was wayyyy below my budget. The staff at Serendipity is beyond amazing and they have so many beautiful dresses to choose from. My stylist was Marissa and I can't say enough how much I enjoyed working with her. It was like she was one of my friends helping me. Very kind, personable and we shared so many laughs during the process. It was definitely a fun experience. She even welcomed me with a nice picture of my fiance and I in my dressing room and entrance. I was blown away at the kind gesture. I showed Marrisa my vision for my wedding dress and she had the perfect dress picked for me. I said yes to the dress because of Marissa. It was such a great experience. I highly recommend Serendipity.

Marissa was the best! She was prepared for our appointment with a few dresses picked out that were just my style, but still gave us a tour of their selection and let us choose what I would try on. She even went the extra mile showing us different veils and how alterations would look (belts, different sleeves, etc.) I ended up falling in love with a dress style none of us were expecting! It truly was a magical experience every bride-to-be should have!

My shopping experience at Serendipity was wonderful! The thoughtful attention to detail and welcoming environment was really special. Marissa really listened to what I did and did not like and pulled some great dress choices for me to consider. Highly recommend them.

I went to Serendipity bridal recently on the hunt for the perfect wedding dress! (With my wedding only 4 months away) Long story short - this was the best possible experience I could have imagined for the dress hunt! I couldn’t rave enough about them and every single woman that works there! We had made an appointment and thought that it was confirmed (our fault 100%) and showed up to the time we thought the appointment was to find out that we actually didn’t have the appointment confirmed 😂🤦🏼‍♀ even though it was our fault the ladies at Serendipity were so sweet and accommodating and actually squeezed us in even though there wasn’t any space! Jessica was my wonderful bridal stylist (she is also the co-owner) and she took her time, got to know me and my fiancé, and made sure to still give me (and my bride squad) the most perfect experience!! Jessica made me feel so beautiful and listened SO PERFECTLY to what I liked and didn’t like and had the best eye! I have always dreamed of the wedding dress shopping experience and have seen the shows and everything I was worried I wouldn’t feel anything like that. But Jessica and the other ladies there made it THAT experience! They gave us all cold water and cookies - and the small little personal touches in the dressing room for the appointment were even better! It was the perfect day and the perfect time and I couldn’t say enough good things! Honestly it’s a 1 stop shop and you wouldn’t even need to go anywhere else! 🥰💗

The most amazing experience!! My best friend of 16 years went while I was visiting to get ideas and ended up no brides scheduled so they let me try on dresses. On the 4th out of 6th I couldn’t believe it I found MY dress. Tears and smiles and FaceTimes happened and now I’m a Serendipity bride!!! Thank you Marissa for the most amazing experience!!

"Serendipity was the first on my list, and this team exceeded every expectation! They were so warm, welcoming and informed me of all the other services they provided!
My group and I (5 not including me) were greeted with a beautiful welcome message on display with my name and a favorite picture of my fiance and I. We were immediately checked in and shown around the salon. The assistant detailed the layout of the types and designers of the different dresses. My assistants name was Marissa. She was so pleasant, sweet, and so easy to work with.
I came in with a pretty open mind in regards to style and design, so it left room for her to make very good suggestions. We browsed the room and picked 5-6 dresses to start the narrowing down process. In the dressing room, there was beautifully framed photo of my fiance and a I as well as a personalized message and fresh water provided.
Marissa was so knowledgeable and helpful in details from style, designs, pricing, etc. Before I knew it we had narrowed it down, and after a celebration toast I walked away with the dress of my dreams at such a reasonable cost (with promotions and discounts included for purchasing same day)!

This was my first time ever dress shopping and it was a great experience from start to finish. They have a great selection online and in store and within budget ! The staff were super attentive and really made me feel special. I found my dress and literally cried while looking in the mirror. I’m excited to continue to work with the Serendipity for my alterations and dress fittings. They really made my bridal experience memorable.

Truly an over the top experience for me. From scheduling my appointment to walking through the door, everyone at Serendipity made me feel special, cared for, and heard. I love that we got a tour of the whole boutique prior to the start of my appointment to learn about all the other services they also provide. The selection and layout of all the dresses in the store is accommodating for any and every price point - they are very transparent with their prices and carry a lot of different designers. I live a little under an hour and a half away, went to 3 other shops prior, and NONE compare to kindness and care Serendipity showed me. So grateful to be a Serendipity bride, I have been telling all my VA people to make the drive - it is worth it!!

I definitely had an experience of a lifetime at Serendipity and my only regret is not finding out about them a lot earlier in my dress shopping journey.

Worth the drive to La Plata for any city brides in the DMV area! From the moment I spoke to Jess over the phone, it was such a lovely experience. The location is gorgeous and I was not prepared for the intimate details of welcoming me by name or in the dressing room. I nearly cried when I saw a photo of my fiancé and I framed in the fitting room. Unfortunately I was extremely late to my appointment due to unaccounted for traffic, yet Jess welcomed me and my mom and never made us feel rushed. She even spent time past closing to help me try on again the dress I loved. I didn’t get a chance to purchase my dress through them at no fault of their own, it’s mostly because my wedding is only a few months away and the rush delivery isn’t something I wanted to do. Like I said I wish I had found out about them 4-6 months prior but will gladly recommend any future bride to them that I speak to!!

Said yes to the dress here! After searching for months, the wide variety really allowed my dreams to come true. I am still waiting for the dress to come back so i can rush to tailoring, but i am super excited for it all. Make an appointment! They’re really about tailoring the experience to you! They left the cutest surprises and really worked with me to get what i wanted!!

My mom originally wanted me to drive to upstate New York (my hometown) to look at wedding dresses because we thought dresses in the DMV area were too expensive, and she also wanted me to have the best experience knowing how important my big day is to me. I felt I was running low on time, and didn't have time to drive to NY, so did a quick google search (veering away from DC and Alexandria) and found that several soon to be brides had a wonderful experience at Serendipity Bridal.

I decided to try on dresses with a couple of my friends at Serendipity to get a feel for what I wanted. Marissa immediately made the experience amazing for me. I knew trying on wedding dresses was going to be a process for me, but she was there every step of the way. Although I didn't buy a dress at the first appointment, I knew I was going to go back with my mom because of the great experience I had.

My second appointment I was determined to get my dress, and my consultant Jessica made that happen. She was super helpful, professional, and even spent extra time with me so I could find the perfect dress.

Even after purchasing the dress, the owner, Jessica and a few other consultants collectively went above & beyond creating a "celebration" which included a champagne toast, photos of my mother and I, and photos with a framed "I said yes to the dress."

I am so happy to have found Serendipity Bridal, and will be recommending the shop to others in the future.
