Very cozy and inviting atmosphere. We came for appetizers and drinks and were definitely not disappointed. My husband and I enjoyed the chorizo stuffed mushrooms and the fish tacos. The tacos were incredibly well cooked and you could taste the delicate flavor of the fish in combination with its accoutrement. We both ordered off the seasonal drink menu which was well laid out and covered a majority of options. The drinks came out very beautifully dressed and begging for a photo! We look forward to coming back to enjoy more of what this lovely restaurant has to offer!

Cool atmosphere, lively music, friendly staff. The cocktails were excellent! Very unique! Food was tasty and hot, served promptly. Visually appealing, attention to detail. Reasonably priced. Definitely be visiting here again!

Well, well, well…Don’t you love it when you’ve discovered a new fave place? This was our first time dining at Puente, and as we tend to do, we TRIED to explore the menu, but there is so much to choose from - fantastic selections because of a varied menu. Firstly, before I get to the food, as a Plant Mama, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the presence of so many houseplants. Just gorgeous, healthy plants that you can tell are loved.

We came for happy hour, but tapped into the dinner menu too. Dillon provided excellent service throughout, the wait for our meal components was appropriate, the music was at just the right volume and created the right Latino vibe. We tried sweet fried plantains, yucca fries, guac and salsa, (the chips are fantastic - you know it’s hard to find THE perfect chip!!) the carne asada, red beans and rice, and the Papi Chulo. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. Absolutely no room for dessert, which we regret. Sipped on several margaritas between us and I tried the Cocuito-tini - so, so good. We’ll be back soon!

This is a great family owned restaurant. The food is delicious and unique to the area with a great selection of beer! We are never disappointed going there.

I dined there last Sunday during brunch time with my parents, my kids, my sisters, cousin and nephews. We had a great time! The drinks were on point and the food was excellent! I had the grilled pulpo & ceasar salad and both were delicious. We finished it off with fresh made churros paired with chocolate & dulce de leche dipping sauces that were yummy too. Overall we are definitely going back soon and recommend 100%! To top it off we got to meet & compliment the head chef/owner Luis Vazquez who is from our native island of Puerto Rico! You gotta visit this fusion cuisine gem in the heart of Unionville!

Tried a variety of drinks, appetizers, and entrées. The drinks were Warm and fuzzy, Pomegranate Paloma, back to the beach. There were all very nice. Not as fruity as you would think and were pretty strong. For a $12-15 drink it was appropriately priced but could be larger glasses for the price.

For appetizers - Pulpo a la Plancha, albóndigas, fundido (melted cheese dip).
The meatballs were the best out of the 3. Would definitely recommend. They have ancho pepper which made them standout and feel authentic. Would definitely order again.

Entree - tried Puebte Burger, fish and chips, pork pincho and the Burro. Definitely the fish and chips stand out. Be sure to get them “Puente Style”. That is the only way to go!

For ambience - you can tell they put a lot of time and effort into making you feel the environment of Latin America come to Unionville, CT. Higher scale, clean and atmospherically pleasing. Playing a mix of salsa and merengue.

Service - Our server Dillon was nice and friendly, attentive and would make sure our needs were met.

Would 100% come back and try some of the other items on the menu now that I know what I know.

Great atmosphere here! And the food was amazing too, I thought it would be cheap bar food but it was amazing. I had the BBQ chicken kebab on bacon rice and it was one of the best meals I've had in a while. I hope this place stays open for a while. Also they had good few options of non alcoholic beer which some places don't have

First time at this establishment. Staff was super friendly, answered any questions we had about ingredients or menu items.

The food was incredible and drinks were fabulous. Alcoholic and non they definitely take their time to ensure ingredients are fresh even the iced tea appeared freshly brewed.

Would definitely dine here again.

I had a wonderful lunch. From greeting until I burped after my great experience. The decor, atmosphere, and great staff took care of business. The house smoked wings, fried to perfection with a crunch and perfectly flavored skin, with a ranch homemade dipping sauce with the not much more than subtle spice, Verde, guacamole dipping sauce was perfect (I'm guessing that's what it was) I then had the Turkey Club on the perfect Puerto Rican bread and the best Ceasar salad ever. The dressing / toppings of Ceasar dressing individualized and bacon bits was incredible, finished it quickly. The Turkey Club minus the tomato, was perfect. I inhaled it, very good. Go here when u get a chance.

OMG! This was delicious! Everything was superb! We got the Prickly Cucumber and Farmington River Water cocktails, both were perfect refreshing patio drinks on a hot summer day....and oh so strong! We share the Margherita Empanadas and Ceviche. Both were perfect but the dough on the Empanadas was totally scrumptious, so fresh. I got the Benedict special which was Burnt Ends and Carmilized Onions 🤤. The benedict was perfect!!! The eggs cut perfectly runny and flavored amazing with the meat, onions and homefry fries. My friend got the Fish and Chips, Puente Style. It was so crispy!!!! And so fresh. And let's not forget the wonderful staff!! Emma, our waitress was so sweet and attentive, always there for whatever we needed. And one of the owners, Kerry, was so friendly and working hard along with her staff but still made time to bond with us. Totally and absolutely recommend this place 💯!!

I loved the vibe. Just walking in, your hips start twitchin to the salsa being played. Plenty of tables and a center bar makes for good seating with some space for dancing when the mood compels. The drinks refined with a latin flare complemented by a great beer list. Food wise, it’s delicious. A diverse menu and reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go back.

One of the best things about this restaurant is the ceiling and its ability to absorb noise. It’s easy for even hearing impaired people to enjoy their time there. The food is great and the service impeccable.

Definitely worth a visit! Chef Luis uses family recipes with a high-class professional flare- this is authentic stuff that is both a treat to the eye and the palate. The Spanish meatballs had a great smoky & spicy flavor. The chimichurri on my carne asada was amazing, and it also came with a fresh pico de gallo on greens that gave an added tangy burst to the whole dish. We shared a carafe of sangria and it was more than we could finish. The servers were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was light and fresh, I really felt like I should look outside and see the ocean, not the center of Unionville. We were delighted to discover it and we will definitely be back!

I just moved to Farmington in 2022 and Puente has proved to be one of my favorite local spots! We just came out with our 10 month old daughter and had such a great, family friendly but also “date night” experience. We tried the carne asada, churros, and chicken and kielbasa rice. Everything was delicious and the environment is so well decorated, great music and all the things!

Should have taken pictures of the yucca chili fries, the margarita empanadas but we ate them too fast. The brunch drinks were amazing and we tried a few. The people were extremely friendly, informative and helpful. Wish I lived closer!

I had tried Puente shortly after they had opened and was somewhat lukewarm on the experience. A year later I tried again, and they have definitely hit their stride! The food was interesting and delicious, the atmosphere was fun (though the music was a bit loud for my taste), and the value was on point. We went back a few weeks later and had an even better server, some fantastic cocktails and excellent dinner. Puente has become a favorite of ours.

One of our favorite spots in town. You can tell that Chef Luis puts a lot of care into his delicious dishes, and it feels like home when we’re there. We also appreciate that Kerry and Luis give back to the community by supporting organizations like Farmington Community Chest.
