The project and outcome was beyond my expectations and the attention to detail provided by Paul and Tom Fisher as well as Christine was superb!!! I managed this project from all over the world due to my work travels. Their attention to the detail on the front end as we selected interior and exterior options and the time to discuss various options for the area and climate was done with no pressure and lots of suggestions from their years of experience. I made my decision and timing at a not so favorable time of the year. The responsiveness in building my design, the ability to take a factory tour during final construction, the seamless alignment of the various contractors required to clear the property, demolish, build a foundation, electrical tie ins, HVAC and carpentry was very satisfying to me as a customer. All the recommended contractors were there on time and completed their portions timely and with a high degree of workmanship. I was most amazed the day of the set when the crane modules were sitting there and all was in place in under six hours and by the end of day two the entire structure was weathered in which to me was critical during the upcoming winter weather. One of my main reasons for going with modular was a climate controlled environment for the entire build and a quick assembly of the modules to keep inclement weather from damaging the sub-structure and/or any of the interior. The rest came together timely and within 12 weeks I had access to the home. Another very positive experience was their attention to detail even after my COO on some minor issues I found and even now almost 24 months later they still check on my satisfaction. I have recommended both General Housing and North Country Homes on at least 12 occasions and will continue to make such recommendations. Lastly, the relationships the Fishers have with the sub-contractors was the best I've ever seen in my 40 years of using housing contractors. Thanks to all!!!

For the sake of honesty, to say we were high maintenance through this whole process is an understatement. However Paul and his team have not only handled it all with grace, but professionalism, kindness and an eagerness to help our dreams for our home become a reality. Christine has always come through when have made changes and modifications to our plans and end goal, which admittedly have been numerous.. and everything Paul has promised from the beginning, he came through on everything when he said he would. My only regret through this whole process is I wish we would have exerted a little more patience. Thank you Paul and team for all the hard work you have put into our home for us.

We decided to purchase land and build a house in the Cheboygan area last year after living in our small cottage for almost 3 years. We heard the quality of a modular home built in a controlled environment was highly superior then a stick built house being exposed to inclement weather conditions. We met and became friendly with a couple living in Indian River who had a house built by North Country Homes and were very impressed with the product. We decided to go over to the office and inquire about the homes. The owner and office manager were very friendly and helpful. They worked through this whole project with us and were very attentive to our needs. We made many changes through the process and they were very accommodating. Our house has turned out beautiful and we are very happy with it. The North Country Home staff was excellent in addressing all of our concerns.

We needed a home that was handicapped-accessible yet suitable for our lot. They delivered 100%.

Very helpful and very willing to work with us. We did not feel rushed at all.

Called for pricing and info the lady was very polite very helpful but the price is too high per square foot

Called to come in and talk with someone about plans and prices on a modular home. Was told that 2 or 3 pm would be a good time. Was there @ 1:30, we walked thru the 2 models. She was still busy and told us to give her a minute. We went and got something to drink, came right back and even though she had a cell # to reach us she instead took on another client. We will Never go back to this place!

We are still waiting for the price on the home we are ready to have done. Waiting since November, 2019. I'm glad she never got back to us. If this is an example of the lack of communication, I would not trust the process of completing our home.

The sales team does not return calls. Spoke with someone in the office on 2 separate occasions and never received a call back. Time to move onto the other ritz-craft dealers in the area.

Called twice to get an estimate for a home - never heard back. I'll try a different builder.

PS - if you are so busy you can't return calls, recommend you hire some more people.
