*This review mainly talks about their jjamppong*

Yu's Mandarin is top tier when it comes to their jjamppong (noodle soup). I've ordered it countless times and every time it's consistently amazing. The jjamppong's broth is rich in flavor, with the perfect amount of spice. The soup comes in a large bowl, and they don't just fill it with broth. They load it up with noodles, meat, vegetables, and seafood. For the amount you pay, the portion size is great. Sure, some of the seats may be torn up and service might be a little slow, but that really doesn't mean much when the jjamppong's godly. Please please please order the jjamppong.

We’ve been going to use for 30 years and we love the food. It’s always good and I love the show. You can see what they’re cooking through the glass door and Friday nights they have that noodle show around 9 o’clock and one big roll of noodles and before you know, there’s 1 million noodles so it’s always good no problem Mary I can get vegetarian cook anything you want so yeah great place to go.

This was our first visit to Yu Mandarin and will be returning! We ordered multiple dishes and shared family style. The staff was awesome! Our water cups stayed full and EVERY staff member that walked by our table checked on us. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. You could see the cooks cooking the food.

The have amazing lunch specials. Food was delicious. I had the Mongolian Beef. Beef was super tender. This dish was a full size meal.

Service was a bit slow as we waited over 15 minutes to get our check. Overall a great experience and I'll definitely be visiting again soon.

Update 8/3/2024
Old standby Chinese - can't go wrong. Always fresh and generous quantity on your entree's. Service is fast and friendly. Professional Chefs are their trademark. Yumsville !!

Update 3/20/23:
We’ve been coming here for over 15 years. Food and service have had its good and not so good times but, it has picked back up significantly as of this review. The dining rooms need a little bit of renovating as some booth seats are torn. They’ve gotten away from providing the thicker nicer Yu’s napkins and also don’t give you enough chili oil like they used to with your entrees. You have to request hot tea as it’s not automatically brought or suggested when ordering. It’s these little touches to dining at the old Yu’s that I miss a lot.
They still make the plum sauce which is great with the egg rolls and crab rangoon. The egg drop soup is better than other places as it not only has tofu pieces but little baby shrimps too. It’s served piping hot to your table.
The main entrees of walnut shrimp, Kung Pao chicken and Rainbow rice were all delicious with generous portions . Signature provincial flavors are delicious made by the team of professional chefs with over 100+ years of collective experience each with their unique food specializations!
You really can’t go wrong here as all the food is consistent and you can watch them prepare your order. thru the glass. They make their own handmade noodles daily as well as offer some Korean dishes.
Good location, great food and still one of the best Chinese in the burbs.

Yu's is still the great standby where quality remains the key ingredient to all the dishes. Carryouts have been great over the last 2 years and with dining out being back in full swing it's the best. Portions are great and we live that they now offer a take out large garlic chili sauce condiment. Everything from signature Walnut Shrimp to Kung Pao Chicken is still delicious!

Been coming here for years. Food is still very good but has gone down a little and has been under new management for some time now. Portions are still about the same maybe a little less but ingredients are fresh that they use in the dishes. Service was just ok. They got our order wrong and it took them awhile to bring out our appetizers. Plus, they didn’t bring all entrees to the table together. My husband had to wait awhile for his entree. Tea was luke warm not hot. Plus, one entree came to the table that none of us ordered and we had to tell them to take it back. A little disorganized with food and timing of bringing it. It was not busy so they should have been on top of things better.

Yu's has been a go to for authentic Chinese food. Great tasting food, great service. Went during a very busy day, thought it was going to be a long wait but ended up waiting about 10-15 mins for a table. Once seated, our waitress was really good at getting out orders and everything came out within 15 minutes from ordering. Always love visiting this place for dinner. The Mongolian Beef is really good.

We love the food here.. there are few serving personnel very courteous, if you get them, they will make your experience amazing. Being a vegetarian, I love their vegetarian chicken :D, mushroom and egg tofu main course, eggplant dish.

Just one suggestion, try adding more vegetarian choices.. would come back more

This is of my Gfs favorite restaurants, and after coming in I see why! Pure deliciousness! I love how you can watch the chefs cook through the windows of the kitchen to! My girl loves the Seafood Noodle Soup! I got their orange chicken, which was incredible! The cool part as well is that this is my first time having an orange wedge come with my orange chicken! You don’t wait long for your food either so you won’t be in their for a long time. I can’t wait to come back!

Great place for Chinese and Asian cuisine. The food is very flavorful. The service is good. The restaurant is very busy during dinner hours. My fee favorite dish is the salty egg crab. This is the only place I know that serves it. The stir fried string bean is also good here. Enjoy.

They have put up dividers between the booths for covid safety, very appreciated. Had the chicken lollipops and they are finger lickin' good! Their lamb and scallions is super tender. Wish I got a chance to try their signature Martinis but they didn't have vodka or a bartender tonight. I will be going back.

If you are vegetarian, this is the best place to have Asian food. You don't taste or smell meat in your vegetarian items. The price is reasonable and the quantity is plenty full. The quality of food and taste is great. The fried rice, bean curd and fried egg plant were made delicious. The cool part is you can watch all the cooks cooking the food through the panorama glass window they have. And they clean their pans after every dish they cook.

I came nearly 30 years ago for the first time to his restaurant. Then we moved and yesterday evening we decided to go here again with some dear friends. The food and service are still as good as I remember they used to be. I was impressed with the robotic server. The Kong Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Farmers Market, Singapore Noodles all are deliciously prepared. Try it for yourself, you’ll love it!
