Second time coming here. The ramen is affordable and tasty! The workers are welcoming. The meat melts in my mouth and the broth is rich too. Added some ingredients and they were fresh. Def will come back again when I am around this area.

Best ramen spot in the suburbs in my opinion. I’ve been coming here for about 4 years now and it’s always been great. Good seating for solo diners but I would recommend putting down name on the waitlist during peak dinner hours on weekends. My favorite bowl has to be the mixed vegetable or green chili.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an incredible ramen restaurant, and I must say it was a truly five-star experience! From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a fantastic meal. The restaurant's attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the elegant decor to the friendly and attentive staff. The menu offered a wide variety of ramen options, each more tempting than the last, making it difficult to choose just one. However, I ultimately settled on the signature KitaKata ramen, and it was an absolute revelation. The broth was rich and creamy, packed with flavor that left me wanting more with every spoonful. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the toppings were fresh and thoughtfully selected. It was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes that created a symphony in my mouth.

Outstanding Ramen! Great portion sizes. Popular place, Always a wait for a table to eat in so we get takeout often. The food is worth the wait just plan ahead if you want to eat in. Delicious!

I will be giving 4 star for today’s visit. We had a 45 minute wait before we were seated. My mom tried this place for the first time and she really loved the Ramen. Only thing that was little off this time was the servers were a little confused with anything customers were asking. They were not giving the right order, keeping someone else order on someone else’s table. But it’s totally fine. Its a simple human error.

Its one if my favorite Ramen Place. Love their Spicy Miso Ramen.

We were charged an extra $1 for each bowl for making miso ramen spicy. This has happened for the first time and the server didn’t tell us while taking the order - just for someone to make a note of

Exactly same as it was in the lombard location. I went to this place coz they have this vegan option which usually other Ramen places don’t.

We ordered

1 Vegan Miso Ramen (Spicy) - i just love this dish. Perfect taste. Very good portion ( actually a lot for 1 person)

2 Spicy Edamame: they were good too as appetizers

3 Fried Peppers: I didn’t really like those.

Overall, they have great food.

Surprisingly, they either have vegetarian broth or Pork Broth and not chicken broth.

Excellent. Best Ramen in the area, hands down. Plus, this is a legit Japanese restaurant with many locations in Japan. What a gem to have in Hoffman Estates, IL.

It was our 1st time here. And we were shocked how delicious food. I order ABURI MISO RAMEN my 1st expression of this is very delicious but there's a strong smell like a red wine. I am not sure if theres a wine included on the recipe but you can diffently smell it. And for appetizers my husband order fried FRIED GYOZAand BAN NAI BUNS. This is my favorite my pork is very juicy and the buns had perfect combination. All the food i mention is in picture i download.

The best ramen noddles around and I'm vegan so it's extra delicious. Make sure you get large and make it spicy

The staff is so amazing and welcoming, they even give you their personal favorites, I tried them and I loved it. The food came out so fast it took only 10 minutes to receive it. They all thanked and said goodbye once I was leaving, it shows how much they care about customers.

Staying in Schaumburg for a few days on a work trip and happened to see this Kitakata ramen place down the road had good reviews so figured I'd give it a shot. OMG, some of the BEST ramen I've ever had! The broth is extremely flavorful by itself, and the seasoned egg was cooked to perfection (even after sitting for a bit)! Gyoza was tasty as well but that did not travel as well as the ramen. In addition they gave me a HUGE extra bag of noodles (which I definitely did not need, but it was appreciated). I wish I was staying longer so I could try more of their dishes. Next time I'm here I will definitely be back!

This place is AMAZING! The staff and managers are all so fun and make the environment very inviting. And don't get me started on the food... the fried chicken is some of the best I've EVER HAD! And the ramen is top tier... I've been to a multitude of ramen spots and this has to be top 3 for me! And the portions are great for the price!

Woah, this place was an awesome find. I have stayed up the road in a hotel, at least 50 times, and still did not know this place existed. Tonight I got a hankering for some Ramen, and I looked it up on Google maps. This is one of the best places I've ever had ramen and believe when I say the locals know it too.. So now I know and I'm sharing it with you But wow this was a great place. I had the green chili bowl Ramen and boy Heidi was that some spicy stuff. Just up my alley, made me uncomfortable. 😆. Get in here. But if you're going in at peak times, make a reservation.

So I went back... probably 4 more times since my last update. And still so amazing and spicy and savory that you'll figure out a way to get some more. I don't even live in Chi town, but I still find a way to come get more of these spongy crinkled noodles and that creamy spicy miso goodness. It may be a problem for me... Meg. Its fine.

The is the best ramen place I've eaten in yet! The service was attentive and timely. The food was endlessly flavorful and plentiful. I had the Tan Tan Ramen. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

If you are looking for authentic Japanese ramen cuisine then look no further. This is my go-to spot whenever I want to treat myself. The Chashu Ramen is my favorite but you have to add an egg (I get 2x) It is definitely not your store-bought 1$ ramen. This place does it right. They make everything the way it is supposed to be made and it shows! The taste of the broth is to die for and their pan fried gyoza is without comparison. I highly recommended this place to anyone who fancies authentic cuisine. I take everyone I know here because I know they will leave appreciating what they just experienced.

Kitakata Ramen is one of the BEST tasting ramen I've had since traveling around Japan. I live in Chicago but will happily put up with traffic and the long commute to Hoffman Estates to eat here.

I would recommend ordering the Fried Chicken as an appetizers, comes out super moist (chicken thighs) and very hot so be careful not to burn your taste bud off before eating their ramen. ;] Their broth in most of their selections is very well balanced, it's light yet full bodied and super rich in umami flavor. In addition to their delicious broth is their signature noodles which are fatter than the typical noodles served at other establishments.

I've tried their Kitakata Ramen, Aburi Miso Ramen, Green Chili Shio Ramen, & the Spicy Ramen. For first timer I would totally recommend their namesake Kitakata Ramen (add an egg for good measure or whatever extra sides you want for that matter). My personal favorite (recently discovered) has got to be their Green Chili Shio Ramen, man is it goooooood, I left that bowl emptied with not even a drip of the broth remaining.
