After 17 years in the area, we took the plunge and tried Hamburger Joe’s. Had Miss Andrea as our server! What a delight! Within 10 seconds of meeting her we were exchanging high-fives! Did I mention she was at our table in record time. The wife ordered a cheeseburger and fries, with a drink, and I ordered two cheeseburgers and fries, with a soda. Great, great smash burgers! I ordered just with pickles and mayo, so I could judge the sandwich, without all the fixin’s. 10 out of 10 for sure. On the Yummy Scale, definitely a 5-Star! For the price I was expecting less for the money, and was pleasantly surprised. Now back to Miss Andrea…what an awesome attitude she had. She made lunch fun! We took the chance, and really glad we did. Great food, great folks! May I also mention the hostesses at the front. Great attitudes! Smiles all around. In most restaurant settings the hostesses are usually the grumpy ones, and I say that with a smile, but here they were interactive, and sweet! If you’re in the area, stop in, you will be glad you did! Thanks again, Miss Andrea!

Food and atmosphere is incredible.

I met Harry who knew it was my first visit. He was awesome with his recommendation. If you’re looking for a great burger - this is the place.

Sat at the bar, ordered a cheeseburger all the way, onion rings and french fries with chili!

It was amazing! I must visit whether you live here all year or on vacation!

This place is cash only. They do have an ATM available if you don't have cash on you. The hamburger was good, the same as the hot dog . There is nothing special about the French fries. Food is reasonably priced for the beach.

Hamburger Joe's seems like the hidden gem behind the big chains on the main strip at North Myrtle Beach. Quick seating and even though the place was crowded from the bar and tables we still got a spot for our party of 6.
The atmosphere of the place was definitely the happening local dive place with great staff and people. Our server was quick with our drink/food orders. Drinks came quick and cheap too (not complaining there!).
Food was not too far behind after having some hot wings for appetizers. Burgers made right behind the bar. You could see the assembly line they had to crank out the orders constantly coming in.
Now the food was definitely worth it. Fries portioned perfectly to pair with the patties. The burgers you can get any classic way you want or get it "All The Way" which adds slaw, chili, and onions.
TLDR: A classic smashburger topped with whatever you want, paired with a side of crispy fries and low price beer. You can't go wrong here!

We were a party of 3 and were able to snag bar seats with no wait. Staff were very friendly, informative, and attentive.

Food was delicious!! I had the cheeseburger “all the way” to try the classic they are known for - was given the tip to add mustard. 10/10 would recommend.

Drink menu is a great value at $6.95 for a mixed drink.

Amazing food! Cheeseburger was amazing for a great price, but I reccomend getting other sides. The cheeseburger by itself was not filling enough. There are many other great items on the menu. Onion rings tasted good. Wings appetizer is great for multiple people. Remember to bring cash, for they don’t accept cards!

I stumbled upon Hamburger Joe’s during my vacation in North Myrtle Beach, and let me tell you, this place cannot be beat! From the moment I walked in, the staff were busy but incredibly welcoming. Our server, Mari, was awesome—she guided us to the most popular items on the menu. The service was lightning-fast, and the crowd was friendly, creating a warm atmosphere.
Now, let’s talk about the food. The ingredients were fresh, giving everything that delightful homemade taste. And the best part? The prices! They’re unbeatable. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.
However, I have to be honest—the fries and hot dog didn’t stand out. They were just regular. But hey, when the burgers are this good, who needs anything else?

We love to hit up Hamburger Joe’s when we are in Myrtle Beach. They have delicious smash burgers & I am big sucker for the fried bologna & cheese sandwich. Yes, that’s right I said fried bologna & cheese. The prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is hopping & the bathrooms are clean. Go check them out.

This was the first time I tried a smash burger. Was pleasantly surprised! I got the cheeseburger with some onions rings! Perfect size and super delicious. It was a bit loud but it wasn’t too much of a bother.

This was our first time at Hamburger Joe's, and I thought it was great overall. We got in pretty quick, even though it seemed like it would be a long wait based on the crowd. The burger was a great classic cheeseburger. My favorite was the spicy wings. Cooked perfectly, and I loved the fact that they actually had a nice kick to them. Most places don't really deliver for me when they say "spicy," but these had a good level of spice while maintaining a great flavor. Cool atmosphere, great hot wings, and cheap beer, gotta love it!

This place is absolutely amazing. I've been bringing my family here for decades. It's bittersweet to see it grow to what it is now. My oldest son, now 12 was less than 1 at the time and the owner who is from my hometown actually asked if he could feed him with the bottle so his mother and I could take min to eat. We eat here every chance we get. For the $$ you can't beat this place.

Amazing cheeseburgers, fries, and service as well reasonable prices. Stays very busy. Does have a wait to get seated but Definitely worth the wait. Great place to take the WHOLE family. Definitely a top pick place for when my family visits North Myrtle Beach! Cash only place. But has ATM inside. Placing a Togo order is easy as well.

My family stumbled on this place maybe 10-15 years ago. Best wings i have ever tried. service is great and food is AMAZING. We have never been disappointed when eating here. We drive two hours to myrtle beach just to eat here! If you’ve never been, trust me you are missing out!

Favorite burger place. Great food all around and especially for the price. Go early in the summer or maybe late because there will be a wait around prime time. But they move people in and out fast. They also have a service window and shade to wait in. We go every time we visit which is several times a year. Cash only but an ATM is available. It’s one of the ways they keep their cost low and food affordable.

A beautiful Sunday morning venturing out to eat breakfast turned into a tasty surprise lunch. My fiancé and I stumbled across this eatery on our way home since all the other spots had long lines and it was already around lunch time. We were able to go right in and sit at the bar. We were waited on immediately and our burgers and fries came out hot, juicy and tasty. I'm a southern gal so my sweet tea was on point. Customer service and staff are great! We would definitely come back here again. Make sure you bring ca$h as this establishment only accepts ca$h and there is an ATM inside.

We found Hamburger Joe's by stumbling upon it when we did not like another restaurant close by. Very quick to get seated on a busy night. Waitress was very nice and had great recommendations. Order was taken and food was out within 10 minutes. We ordered the cheesburger fries and a grilled chicken sandwich. Chicken was moist and the hamburger was juice not dried out. Would go back again. The also sell hats and tshirts .

We ate here last year and loved it and stayed near Hamburger Joe’s this year, so we could walk to the restaurant. We love the food, service, atmosphere, and the people. The owner stopped to chat with us a while and that meant a lot to us. If you love hamburgers, you owe it to yourself to eat here.👍👍

Stopped here Thursday afternoon (7/14) for lunch.
Relatively busy but we were greeted and seated immediately.
My wife and I both got cheeseburgers. I had the slaw, my wife had fries.
Everything was hot. Burgers were great, fries perfectly done & the slaw was really good.
The staff was great. Perfect level of attention without that feeling that they are hovering.
Outside there is plenty of parking - many spots are shaded.
Inside has a nice almost homey feel.
I will absolutely be back.
Be aware that they only take cash - but there is an ATM.
Prices are extremely reasonable also.

My favorite hamburger joint. They keep it simple, delicious, and affordable. Very fast service and the place is always packed. HJ is a must visit every time I'm in town. Love the cheeseburgers, hotdogs, fries, and onion rings. Better bring cash cause they don't accept plastic.

Been coming here for years. However, I recently placed a takeout order. It was busy as always but they had my order ready when I arrived. The cashier counted everything to ensure nothing was missing. Nothing is worse than getting home and not having an item or a sauce you ordered. Great food, attention to detail, and super reasonable prices.
