Bunde's Bakery Cafe South Haven

One of my favorite early morning cafes in the area. I stop in every weekend I’m in town and this place is very consistent. It’s by no means a quick stop and shop. I get the biltmore and two cherry danish for the kids every single time. They are always excellent.

Stayed the weekend in South Haven and discovered Bunde’s right around the corner. Decided to go for coffee and breakfast each morning and had such a pleasant experience & by the 3rd day, Ruby had remembered my name. They were quick and delicious sandwiches. Especially the Biltmore! Highly recommend for your visit!

They serve a well prepared Starbucks coffee and prepare delicious sweets. Wonderful spot to start the day!

Delicious coffee! It’s modeled after starbucks and tastes amazing! And let me say, their bakery items were out of this world!!!! The chocolate chip muffin was to die for!!! And the biltmore was delicous!

Rachel, the owner, is absolutely precious and loves what she does. She makes every customer feel like her one and only. We tried nearly one of everything and all was AMAZING. The raspberry coffee cake was exceptional and had the perfect amount of filling!! Can’t say enough about how wonderful it was.

What a wonderful experience arriving at this establishment 5 minutes before opening, All staff were smiling and executing their duties in a cheerful way, Rachel the owner was cleaning out side and continuing to keep this gem of a business thriving. You also have a choice of Starbucks products. The interior was extremely clean and I had one of their croissant breakfast sandwiches, Extremely delicious will return ..... thank you Rachel for a wonderful experience.

Great bakery near North Beach in South Haven. Small place with a relatively small menu...but of the highest quality. A handful of seats inside and outside. Very friendly service! Can get busy quickly but they keep things moving well. The most popular items started running out for the day by 9am while we were there.

We got breakfast sandwiches, coffee (standard Starbucks menu) and some of the buns/danishes. All perfectly done, no complaints. Scones are also great, not too dry like a lot of other places.

Definitely pick a morning for Bunde's on your visit to South Haven!

Baked goods are incredibly fresh. Cinnamon rolls have an old fashioned yeast roll flat that reminds me of my great grandmother’s.

Came in to get some baked goods to go for my daughter's 2nd birthday before the rest of my family got up. Wow these were good! I picked up a variety for everyone and nothing was left behind! Savory danishes, cinnamon rolls, scones... All great!

The self-serve coffee bar serving Starbucks was also just what this vacationing family needed to get through the morning with 3 little ones. If we make our way back to South Haven, we'll be making a point to get back to Bunde's!

So good. Get there early to make sure you can get one of their cinnamon rolls, they are exceptional.
And who doesn't need a little Starbucks one in a while?

Bunde's is the ONLY place we go for pastries - specifically the cheese danish which are THE BEST! It's so lovely to sit outside and be a tourist in our own town. Rachel and her whole staff are friendly and efficient. It really is the Bakery at the Beach!!

I went here with my wife, son, and father-in-law. We all greatly enjoyed what they had to offer. The cinnamon rolls were excellent!

Really good pastries and coffee. We stayed in South Haven for two nights and went there for breakfast both mornings. Took some coffee cake home with us too.

I'm a local and have been meaning to stop by this place for several months but with all the construction it hasn't been very convenient to get to. On a whim, I stopped there with my son today. Rachel was working the desk and let me tell you she is a great representation of her business. Super friendly with everyone but especially children. She explained what all of their specialties were and made sure I was more than satisfied with my order. What a wonderful business to have in South Haven! PS I had the blueberry muffin, my husband had a double raspberry cheese Danish and my son had the chocolate dip sprinkle cookies. We also got vanilla lattes. Everything was excellent!

Oh my God. The universe must be on my side this week to have Bunde’s less than a block from the Airbnb I rented. I kept seeing a line out the door and decided to try it as I headed out of town. I stepped into the cute little shop and was greeted by the lovely and friendly owner with a smile. I tasted (ok, inhaled) the Quiche Lorraine and almond croissant and was blown away. The Quiche was just the right amount of egg, bacon, cheese in a buttery and flaky pastry. The almond coffee cake was also buttery and just the right amount of sweet. The coffee is from Starbucks and coupled with the food is just perfect. What a wonderful surprise and awesome send off back to Chicago.

Food was delicious, cooked perfectly! The Biltmore sandwich in particular was great.

Friendly environment, knowledgeable/competent staff, and absolutely delicious food and drinks! A must go every season!
