Twisted Dunes is hard! Excellent and extremely challenging design. This may be one of the most difficult golf courses I ever played. Tricks of the eye make approaches and tee shots intimidating. Sometimes expansive tiered greens and narrow to wide angle plays made every shot a true challenge. Also, it’s a little long: some par 4’s from the whites even with a great drive result in a long iron onto the green and some par 3’s may be out of reach for some who play from the whites. The facilities were much better than other reviews reported. I brought my own drinks but I didn’t have to. Cart girl. Dirt paths on both sides of each hole makes the wide fairways easier to deal with and play goes faster, but still allow 5 hours to play. Long fescue areas, plenty of water to hit over, and waste areas. Great mix. Most traps look like the bottom of your aquarium, but a few have real sand. Very high on my list of golf courses to play if you are in the area. Love the challenge! Makes me want to come back.

When I started golfing, I hated this corse and swore I'd never play it again because I lost so many balls and scored so poorly. Just played it on a warmer winter day, and all the reeds/weeds were cut down and I could see the course as well as find my ball. Ended up scoring incredible and really enjoying this course. I'm going to try it again in the summer now that I don't suck as much. Def not a beginner course, growing enough to appreciate the incredible design.

Bandon Trails vibe in NJ. Beautiful course. Greens need a little work, but the views and layout was fantastic

Played last Sunday, you don’t need me to tell you it’s an excellent course, go experience for yourself. It’s def a gem in south jersey, if you’re in the area, don’t skip this tee time, middle stretch of the course is most challenging in my opinion.

Really fun course, has a lot of interesting holes. A good variety of holes, requires you to play many different shots off the tee and into the greens. Can make plenty of birdies here, but lots of trouble if you go offline. The greens are very sloped, but there are no surprises - the breaks are predictable. The challenge is not in reading the greens, but in strategizing around the slopes. My guess for most people is a pretty high variance vs. their normal score. It’s a straightforward course if you keep it in play, but gets treacherous quickly if you go offline in the dunes or waste areas.

What a great challenging course. The staff were very friendly. Especially since I’m still new to this game. Definitely would recommend going on a weekday. I can see this place being busy due to the low price. I went by myself and was able to play on my own. They have a good driving range as well.

Played Dec 30 in NJ winter golf. It had rained heavily earlier in the week so the course was wet, but no problems. Conditions were fine for winter in NJ.

I absolutely loved the challenge and visuals of this course. Front is a little flatter and easier. Back 9 is a real bear. 13-18 were a great stretch of holes. Hard to believe the bachelor party crowd could survive out here. Enjoyed talking about the course with Chris at the starter shack

Dune definitely lived up to its reputation. Very fun, interesting and challenging course. The track was well-maintained and easy to navigate. Staff was exceptional - from bag drop to starter (shout-out to Gavin!) to marshal to bev cart - everyone was accommodating, friendly, and prompt. I’ll be back next week.

World class public golf course.
Great layout. Good greens.
Bunkers a work in progress.
Really great layout. Each hole set up as individual course.
Worth the effort to go play

A very interesting and challenging golf course. I love how much sand traps are on the holes at this golf course. I would highly recommend going to twisted dunes if you are in the area.

I stayed in S. NJ for a 4-day golf vacation and TD was by far the most enjoyable round! The bag drop, clubhouse, putting green and range were all conveniently located near hole 1. The jockey and starter were super nice. All of the tee boxes except 1 were cut perfectly. The fairways and greens all superb. Unique and challenging layout - the course plays a little long, but the fairways are SUPER WIDE...so you can bomb it. As the name implies, there are certainly a lot of sand traps all over the course, but they had nice fluffy sand to hit out of. The Par 3s here are tough (from the whites) - they average around 200 yards over stuff and typically uphill. You need to plan and execute these perfectly. I didnt use the restaurant or bar afterwards, but it seemed quiet for a Wed afternoon. All in all, it's a really enjoyable round of golf here when it's not too hot.

Real fun course. My guess is that's it's an real bear when the wind is up. Everything was is pretty good shape. My only quibble would be the bunkers, specifically the amount of stones but all in all a very good day on the links.

Tee times honored. Course in good shape generally. It’s just a shame that golfers don’t repair their divots. Interesting and challenging layout. I’m a 27, my son a 15 and we both enjoyed the course. Played it twice on the same week.

Wow there just aren't enough stars for this course and their people. My wife and I try to knock out a different state to play in and this course was number 9 and from the moment we stepped foot on the property it quickly rose to the top of our list. It was a wet though only sprinkles a couple of times when we were on the course but obviously they had some storms. It played like a true Scottish links course. Cart path only but the cart paths were an incredible part of the course. We truly enjoyed the challenge and beauty of twisted dunes. We don't weekly pay the cost of the green fees but this course is really worth every cent. The facilities were really awesome that gave us a great warm up before our round. But probably most importantly thank you to ALL the staff the most friendly, knowledgeable and just great people from the girls that checked us in so adorable to one of the nicest people ever in the starter cart guys so helpful guy in the clubhouse after just being so cool clubs wiped down at the end and a great cool beautiful club dog. 100% first class. Everyone make a tee time experience this amazing club it truly lives up to what you hope it would be. Thanks to all at twisted dunes for making our birthday anniversary trip so special. You have an amazing club and run it with the quality of an exclusive country club.

Loved the course. Great look and feel to the place.

Reminds me of Tobacco Road in NC.

Winter time here is great because the weeds/reeds are all cut down and the course is wide open.
