O'Maggio's Kildare House

Made the pilgrimage from Chatham to come to the Kildare house for my wife's birthday.
We got the appetizer trio, and both got the halibut and chips.

The apps were very good but I can't emphasize how big the serving of fish was!

Look at those pictures! The fries are under the fish and are fantastic in their own right.

I would highly highly highly recommend you choose the Kildare house for your next fish and chips hankering!

I love the design and the classic feel of this place. The food is always fast and delicious. The staff is nice, and it's a great spot to spend time with friends.
We tried halibut, Kildare pitta, mushroom burger, ribs, all were great…

I had the wings and my fiancé had the fish and chips, both were delicious and good portions. All staff were friendly. Great outdoor seating area.

Great atmosphere, great food with large portions/fair prices and great staff!

I got the “perch in a basket” and holy moly, I couldn’t believe it came with four pieces of crispy and fresh perch — I easily made two meals from this and the tartar sauce was also fresh and delicious!

Great pub, very expensive because if you go off the menu it will cost you more.
Have to admit the food was very good and worth it but check out what the cost before ordering.
My wife had the Halibut with fries which is at market price of $33.99, the best Halibut in the city, and a 6 oz glass of white wine costing $13, did not realize when I ordered the wine and that they would give you the most expensive Pinot Grigio, expensive for this venue.
I had the blue cheese burger(18.99) and opted for a salad instead of fries which cost an extra $3.50.
Very good but like I said very expensive.
We will return but be more observant!

The service was absolutely amazing the food was really good I had the Thursday special pollock fish and chips with a Pepsi was a great combo with delicious coleslaw and gravy for the Fry's which had a wonderful seasoning on them

The food was amazing. Emily made the meal! For only serving for 7 days... one of the best!

If you are going here, bring your appetite. The helpings are huge and the food s good. I had the Guinness stew and was surprised at the size of the bowl. I paired it with walkerville Breweries lager and although it was a good beer, I should have gone with a stout. After the stew, and while still in a food coma I mistakenly agreed to a turtle cheesecake for desert. I did not make it through that because as good as it was, Even I could not eat that much food. It was a great meal and I will return, although I will make sure I don’t eat earlier in the day.

I love this place! Their menu is great! I've never been disappointed with my order. Lobster Mac has Real lobster and the portion was so big that it could've been shared with 3 people.

Recently ordered takeout and got their award winning Halibut Fish and Chips. I got this on a Friday Special for a discounted price of $20. Included was fries, coleslaw, and tartar sauce. I was also able to add beer to my takeout order.

Our drink order was taken right away, and ice water was brought out immediately. Friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating. $5 Margarita drink special and the food was timely and delicious.

jaafar at the front door was the best!! We only came in because of him! We are travelling for a girls weekend and had the best time at Kildare house. Best espresso martini!!

We were here for lunch on Saturday December 30th. The food and service were excellent. The atmosphere was great, many TV's with sports on.

You must try the Halibut fish and chips.Great pub with Irish beer. The atmosphere was great as soon as you walked through the doors.The location in old Walkerville was a bonus if you like to do some shopping or exploring.Highly recommend.

I just tried this place and I have to say I'm impressed with the mac and cheese I ordered. I also ordered a drink called "Sour Key" and it was extremely tasty. I highly reccommend if you want a good mac and cheese to go to this place!!! They have 2 other options if you don't want regular mac and cheese. Definietly will be back sometime!!

The mac and cheese was fantastic! Extremely friendly staff we had this evening. Mackenzie was our server and she was so nice and on top of things.

A small house made of dreams on the corner of paradise. Absolutely amazing location, with delicious food, and wonderful servers. Everyone there has always brightened my day and seems to have a great time. Thanks y’all for the spectacular experience!

Excellent burger place on Wyandotte st. They are open late until 1:30am. They do have live music playing at times on weekends which can make the place pretty loud. However, the staff are very friendly and would definitely recommend to check this place if you haven’t already.

Fantastic fish and chips. Huge portions and prepared to perfection. Our server, Miranda was awsome with a great sense of humor.
