This store rocks! It has everything you need in a comfortable cozy amount of space. Need a beach read? Want a bestseller? These women have it and not only that they are knowledgeable about what they read and read constantly new stuff! I've been to a lot of bookstores in my day and this is seriously one of the best. You can get used paperbacks for half price and also new books! It's perfect for aspiring writers and anyone who loves books.

This is a jewel of a bookstore! I had a lovely time with their personable staff and Bess’s great knowledge of her customers’ tastes. You can’t come to Pawleys without a visit here to get a great read for your relaxing beach experience.

Very friendly, helpful people work here. Their prices are great. If you want a book they don’t have, they will find it for you elsewhere, and order it.

My only complaint is that I couldn't afford all I wanted. That is at no fault of the store, though, only my desires and lack of capital. The prices were excellent as well as the care to check each book for quality before it was placed on their shelves for purchase. They have a large selection of both used and new books and a kind and genuinely wonderful staff. Their exchange program is generous as well, and you can keep the credit for your next visit if not used at the time of exchange. I will note they give you a reusable bag for larger purchases, so try to be mindful and bring your own so they don't have to resupply as often.

Make it a point to get a book from here when we visit on family vacay. Cute shop and the owners know the ins and outs of books!

A wonderful store jammed full of paperbacks, new and used. I found some AMAZING finds here. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure that I knew where to look and gave me plenty of tips for searching.

The best part (aside from the impressive selection) were the prices! I ended up with 10 used paperbacks for around $35 or so. I was pressed for time but could have happily spent a few hours combing through the selections.

Do not miss this treasure!

Very quaint and well organized. I bought a Beautiful bible that was in perfect shape that would have cost, probably, 70 or 80 dollars new for $10 . I was thrilled and will definitely be back. The lady there was also very pleasant. Thank you!

Visiting here is like a Literary Candy store!....no calories either....the ladies are so friendly and helpful.....come in for a book or some friendly conversation....great selections......if you are in a book club they will help you get copies of the book.....For visitors, great place to get beach reads too!

This used bookstore is wonderful. I try to stop by when I'm in the area on vacation every summer. There is a large selection of different genres of books. If you like the older romance novels, and not the new stuff, then this is the store for you. There is also a good sized selection of new books by local authors. The young lady who checked me out is very nice and knowledgeable about books.

Beyond courteous!! My family and I must have came in right at closing time. We only know this because as we left an hour later we noticed closing hours. You never would have known by how the person working acted. She was so helpful to all members of my family, answering questions and directing to areas of interest. She was extremely knowledgeable and had a great selection of well organized books.

I had called about a book I was looking for and they had. So they were nice enough to hold the last copy for me. The store was set up very nice with lots of books . The children's section was stocked with amazing books puzzles etc. Very friendly staff and most helpful in answering our guestions. We will be back.

Every time I am at Pawleys I stop in here. This bookstore has a great range of new and used books, something for every taste. Get your beach reads and classics here! They also provide nothing but the best in customer service. Highly recommended!!

A great little buy/sell place for avid readers. Lovingly and meticulously curated.

This place exudes local bookshop vibes. New and used. Quite knowledgeable staff helped me and the wife locate books we wanted, and helped at the register to find the used versions to save money. Will return annually on our beach trips!
