Not only was the price amazing for them to sandblast and powder coat my mom's Jeep bumper, but they did it in some record time. I'm not just impressed with that though. From the office to the back end, everyone I spoke with was friendly and made me happy to be doing business with them. I will surely recomend them to others.

Had them blast and powder coat a couple handrails for a friend of mine. Better than new. With a lightning fast turnaround. Great group of guys with an excellent work ethic. Can't recommended them enough

The guys at Northeast are great. I have some patio furniture which I tried to paint myself. After totally botching it, I took it over to Northeast Coatings. They were patient and very accommodating. They removed all my gummy paint via sandblasting then powder coated it. When a couple pieces needed touch-up, they ordered a spray can, did the touch-up, then gave me the balance of the can; all at no extra charge. They were careful to take the chairs apart to not damage any plastic pieces. They are professionals and care about doing a good job. You can tell when a company is doing work just for the money or are doing it as a loving service to their clients. Northeast coating definitely fall into the latter. Thank you for outstanding service and communication!!

I had mid-century steel spring chairs blasted and powder coated. They had them done in just a few days. Price was less than other quotes.

Great experience getting ceramic coating on automotive parts! The guys were excellent to deal with, and the turn around on my parts was much quicker than expected. I'll take any and all of my coating needs here in the future.

Would love to say I had a good experience but I didn't. Don't recommend going here. I took pictures of before I took my bumper to them just for a before and after pic but turns out I had to use it to prove that they dropped the bumper denting it in two spots. They told me that those dents were there before and anyone can take a picture and dent it before giving it to them. Not sure what backwards logic that is. I don't know anyone that wants to mess up their stuff before getting it sandblasted and re powder coated. They told me the best they could do is give me a $100 store credit or nothing which is BS. Because they decided to screw me with this I took the $100 store credit even though I have nothing to take to them nor trust them anymore. He wrote it on the back of his business card so that was probably a big F you.

The Negative: They do NOT value walk-in customers despite their "Walk-Ins Welcome" boast. They quoted a turnaround time of "approximately 2-3 weeks, but only because of the holidays." The receptionist even wrote down "2 wks" on the copy of the invoice she handed me. However, they had my parts 5 weeks before I got to pick them up.

After the second week had come and gone, I started calling for updates. I was told everything from "our sandblaster is out sick" to "we've been too busy to finish your parts". One employee (not the usual receptionist) even told me "the manager has been out of town and things kinda' stop when he's not here." During three separate phone calls I asked about adjusting the price due to the delays and the response always "I'll ask the manager and let you know"... I never heard back.

Needless to say I was getting impatient. I would have just gone to pick them up incomplete, but I was consistently given the impression they were working on them. However, it wasn't until the end of week 4 I was informed the parts hadn't even been sandblasted yet! After a threat to come pick them up as-is, I was promised work on them would start the following week. So, after much waiting, I got to pick up the parts 3 WEEKS LATE.

When I picked them up, I tried to haggle the price by $50 (from $300 to $250). It's not a huge amount of money, but it would have gone a loooong way as a "good will" gesture. I may have been a heavy-handed (ie, threatened legal action), but I never once raised my voice, insulted anyone, or used curse words. However, the receptionist and manager would only say "delays happen, you still need to pay" or "our military/commercial accounts are more important so your work got pushed".... no apologies at all. I even asked about the "Quality Policy" on their counter (in a frame, signed by the manager) and on their website. It says, word-for-word, "Our commitment to customer satisfaction will be achieved by providing quality products, delivered on time, at a competitive price." Nowhere does it say "for military and commercial accounts only". So while I held their "policy" in my hands and pointed at it, they made it very clear I wasn't taking my parts without paying full price. The manager even carried all of the parts but one to the receptionist's desk and kept the last one in the back until I paid the full amount.

The Positive: Their powder-coat work seems average and they were willing to finish removing the previous coating (PlastiDip).

So in summary... if you are a walk-in and you don't have a huge military/commercial contract to offer, expect to be pushed around a lot. They will promise you the world until they have your stuff, then all bets are off despite their "policy" attesting to the contrary... Oh well, at least their powder-coat work is average.

UPDATE as of today (01/12/2021; 4 years since original post), the powder-coat has turned chalky and started bubbling and cracking under normal use; no harsh chemicals or temperatures. I would SERIOUSLY recommend another shop.

They have massive turn overs, they lose paperwork, they do not follow up, and they have very mean people that answer the phone who do not tell the truth! In a world that you can be anything, BE KIND, especially to customers! Very UNPROFESSIONAL.
