Decatur VA Clinic

This is the best VA clinic I've ever gone to.

I have been going to this clinic for over 10 years. Very Professional Staff and Doctors. The best VA care facility that I have ever been to in terms of treatment and care.

Doctors and staff are friendly, courteous and responsive to your needs. I have never had a problem setting an appointment at this location. I have even been able to talk to my doctor on the phone the same day.

They've been outstanding when I call they call me right back my care is outstanding

Can't complain. Have had very little problems here compared to my experience at the North Texas VA Center.

A bandage clinic only. All tests and xrays in Ft Worth or Dallas. All MDs in Ft Worth or Dallas. Real treatment in Ft Worth or Dallas.

Cannot get primary care appointment when I call. Patient advocate, Veronica Lopez works from home often and is impossible to get a hold of. You cannot call her. You have to wait for her call back, which is horrible if you have bad cell phone service.

I had to walk in one day and she was lovely. I got a dental appointment for right side deep cleaning and dental work on lower right quadrant through choice program with her help.

I drive over 30 miles to my next dental appointment today, but learned my care plan from 7 months ago has still not been approved. I wasted my time and gas. Ms. Lopez told me my care plan was only uploaded two days ago, but it is the same plan from 7 months ago… she is now saying I should never have gone to the dentist and that it has to get approved through the same dentist some where in Ft Worth who never did anything with the care plan in September 2023.

This advocate doesn’t really seem to advocate for anyone. While I am not the most pleasant person at all, being put down for having a cell phone with bad reception is mean.

Expecting expedited dental care or even dental care at all after waiting 11 months since my original request for dental is not unreasonable.

I contacted the VA White House number, but I doubt anyone there cares either.

Government health facilities are terrible, based on my experience. Avoid if you can afford to.

Definitely have an UNPROFESSIONAL worker by the name of Ashley Hunter, calling people off the work phone and making threats to innocent people. I definitely wouldn’t want someone like that working any type of facility or clinic. If anything I will definitely contact corporate about how unprofessional this is and how she definitely doesn’t need to work in this type of environment or establishment. Along side with violating HIPPA, by giving out clients information to others that’s aren’t family members or people that have permission to know about the person. DEFINITELY needs to address and taken care of immediately. I WILL NOT bring anyone here until this situation is resolved, I wouldn’t even feel comfortable or safe letting anyone come here with having someone that does this work here.

The back staff and Dr. are great and caring. The front desk is ridiculous, uneducated in the VA system and unprofessional. If they were my employees they would all be replaced. I have worked over 15 years in medical reception. So my rating is for the front staff and if I could give them a 0 rating I would. Back office staff I rate at a 4.

The level of care in this VA facility has diminished greatly since Dr Paradiso left... I definitely do not recommend...

The worse VA clinic I've been to. Trying to get an appointment before I leave the country is like pulling teeth.

The other reviews about getting appointments are lies. The office nazis screen the calls, they won't set appointments, they lie and tell you the nurse will call you.
This is just more proof that the government hates those who have served, and the ones who are willing to do their dirty work will someday have to answer to God.
