The Middle of Nowhere Diner

Stumbling upon 'Middle of Nowhere' diner during our road trip was a stroke of luck. We let the waitress know we were coming in from Connecticut. The timing of our order, synchronized perfectly with our arrival (literally as I walked in!), was a thoughtful touch that catered to our needs with a sleeping toddler.

Both our chicken sandwiches were generously portioned and delicious. We loveddd the fries--crispy and satisfyingly hearty. A hidden gem worth discovering on any journey off the beaten path

What a comfortable place! All the servers were friendly and helpful. My waitress was attentive, and I was well served. The menu is loaded with lots of choices, but I came with seafood on my mind. So I had a combo meal of shrimp and scallops and a side of clam cakes. The shrimp was the best I ever had! The prices were reasonable, and there was so much food I didn't even touch the fries or Cole slaw. I came from out of state, choosing this restaurant based on other's reviews. They were not wrong. It's clearly a favorite with locals. And it's easy to see why.

Definitely worth the drive! Hubby had the stuffed french toast while I had the western omelet, which by the way, was made perfectly, the way a real omelet should be made.

WOW. Is my first impression of this fantastic establishment. The food here is absolutely delicious, I'd go as far to say it's the best in the area. Middle Of Nowhere Diner is clearly voted as one of the best diners in Rhode Island for a reason. I can't imagine the food could get much better anywhere else in the area. Our food was just perfect and the flavor was absolutely incredible. Our waitress was also lovely and the service was quick! I appreciate it. 10/10

What a fun find in the middle of nowhere! Friendly diner, with a large menu containing the usual comfort foods. Hot coffee, crispy fries. Our server, Nancy, was amazing!
The diner is small, accessible with plenty of parking. There’s a creamery next door for delicious ice cream 🍦

After a long day of moving and yard work we had no energy to cook, so we ordered takeout. I got the baked stuffed schrod and it was amazing, perfectly cooked and still hot when I ate. Hubby got the meatloaf and said it was delicious. Best part was the portions were quite generous and we will get 2 meals out of it.

We were in the area this morning for a vet visit and needed to kill some time, so we pulled in. So glad we did. Might be one of the BEST breakfasts we ever had. Absolutely delicious. Fairly priced with great service. The line must be out the door on the weekends. Look forward to going back despite being a little out of the way for us. You won't be disappointed. TY.

Update: my third time coming here, I loved the food. I brought a couple of friends and they love it! Best diner of all RI.

The best omelet that I ever had in my life. Pancake are so tasty. Quick service, good portion, very cheap food. The New England clam chowder was amazing. You’ll will come back again

Always good home cooked feeling comfort food. The breakfast has very large portions. Good quality food for the price. Today 3/9/ 2024 I ordered the Fisherman's Platter and received enough food for 2 or 3 people. Love Love Love this Diner

The staff here is AMAZING! Very welcoming and super friendly even during a busy rush, they made sure we were attended to. The food came out roughly 10-15 minutes after ordering and it’s delicious!!

Compared to a lot of diners that I have been to? this place will take the cake. Astounding service! Amazing food! Great atmosphere!

100% recommend to anyone passing through looking for a bite to eat! Will be back again!

This place was really awesome!! No reservations accepted, seat yourself. Great food, my over medium eggs were perfect, which is really difficult to do!! and they make their own sausage patties! also, try the coffee milk! super friendly staff and fast service. i will stop here every time I'm in the area!

The food was absolutely delicious. And the waitstaff was so nice. And not going to lie, the name drew me and my other half in. No regrets. If in the area, stop by when you are hungry!

I love stopping here whenever I find myself out this way! Def RI vibes all the way thru, which we absolutely love & are SO here for. Fair prices, food is always cooked to absolute perfection, and the atmosphere is super cozy for a spot right off the main road. They definitely have a great team here and this is a place you’d wanna check out.

This diner was bomb. We were coming back from Mohegan Sun to MA and it was on the way home. Seriously crazy specials on the menu with fast service and delicious food. The eggs were poached perfectly and we got a pancake to split - well worth it. The home fries were also seasoned very well.

Food was great, got a Greek salad and a steak. The salad had fantastic dressing!!! It was put together well!!! The steak was cooked to my request of medium rare and was just so. I was nervous when I saw pepper on it that it would be overly seasoned but it was PERFECT
Update: I kid you not I went again and the food was better if that was possible (try their French toast)

Food was amazing! Place was busy but so worth it. 😌 my boyfriend and I left satisfied and full! ☺ Their Coffee was great and staff was friendly. I definitely recommend for breakfast if in the area! I of course got my usual French toast and cheese omelet and i was impressed!! It was delicious 😋 Theres also an ice cream place right next door! With many many flavors to choose from! So it's a no brainer!! Ice cream after breakfast it is!!

This is a wonderful place to visit and they have the best Reuben sandwich in the state. It is a classic "greasy spoon" diner with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Amazing breakfast options served all day. This is a great place for a quick meal, but not fast food, comfort food. This is not a romantic place, nor a place to take high end clients, or those who are looking for an upscale dining experience. But if you want a relaxed atmosphere, friendly wait staff, tasty food at an affordable price, you will love it here.

Excellent breakfast joint!! Food came out hot, fast and perfectly cooked. Lots of different things to choose from too, and the menu is still at Pre-biden prices.

I didn’t expect it, but actually really good! Banana bread French toast came with fresh strawberries and sliced bananas, bacon 🥓 was crispy, and scrambled egg was legit- cooked like home. Super laid back , friendly, and reasonable prices. What more could you ask for — it’s in the middle of nowhere , after all. Easy to jump back on 95, too. Totally worth the stop for a local experience and a full tummy.
