OMG, this place is so so good! Biryani Stop may be my new favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities. This was my first time eating at a Pakistani restaurant, and I wish I had tried this place earlier. I went on a Saturday for their lunch buffet, and they had so many delicious options. Lots of great various meat and vegetarian dishes. There were so many great dishes. I will be back to try them all soon.

I tried the food here "Biryani Stop", and I must say it's the best I've eaten in the area. The flavors reminded me of the authentic taste from the region where this cuisine is most popular. With a lot of options available under a single roof, if you enjoy spicy food like "Nihaari", this is definitely the best place for you!

Some dishes are outstanding: Nihari, haleem, biryani, and the desserts. The desserts are top notch.
No flavor is spared and it's super authentic, Punjabi, Baluchi dishes.

Super chill and friendly staff and they have Coke studio on TV.

Save yourself a plane ticket and disappear here for a few hours or a cultural, culinary immersion.

There is ample parking and space so take friends. Go! Enjoy!

This is the most hole-in-the-wall almost doesn't feel like a restaurant place I've ever eaten at. It's tucked into the back of a truck stop and while it was clean, it had all the charm and appeal of a New York subway station. With that said, the food was absolutely incredible. Spot on Pakistani food, as authentic as it gets. If I could give more than 5 stars for the food, I would, and I'm harsher than average on most reviews. While the service was friendly, it didn't feel entirely professional like you would expect at most sit-down restaurants. But the food was so good that I can more than forgive everything else. Highly recommended if you enjoy Pakistani food, but if you're looking for a beautiful place and dining experience for a date, this probably isn't the right venue.

My plate is almost empty, yes it's filling and slightly spicy 😋 and authentic Pakistani...have to say I really liked my dish..and the bread!! They toss it against the brick oven wall and let it bake...the drink is a basil-seed & mango milkshake 😋...located in the back of Stockmans truck stop South St. Paul, Mn...

Outstanding food and ambiance. A friend took me to this place for breakfast and it reminded of Karachi while growing up. Nihari / Paya/ Biryani/ Haleem and “gram gram” puri and naan - awesome experience - A must place to eat when your are in Twin Cities

This is your must stop if you crave for traditional Pakistani/North Indian cuisine. You will definitely find hints of Kashmir & Punjab as well. It has a perfect desi Dhaba (gas station restaurant) vibe.
Food is to die for, I am sure your stomach would be full but not your hearts. Highly recommend going on Sat/Sun as they serve buffet and that would be the best way to try all their specialties.
I personally enjoyed the pakistani Puri-halwa, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, chicken biryani, pakistani chole-puri, chole-chicken and Kashmiri Chai.
The naans are so light, puffy, and yummy.

Owners are super friendly and hospitable.

We had the pleasure of doing Iftar buffet here yesterday. We had made reservations earlier and were therefore easily accommodated. The ambiance was good, contrary to what it looks from the outside. But the food was amazing! Everything from the chaats to the biryani and bun kebabs were so delicious. There was a wide range of drinks to choose from. It topped off with chai and then falooda. We had kids of different age groups with us and even the picky eaters got a share of something they enjoyed. It didn’t get refilled as often as I’d like but I guess it could be because it was a weekend and the place was fully packed. Would totally recommend and will revisit over and over because it gives me a taste of home that is rare to find in US. Hoping that they expand the place because they’re going to get alot of guests in future!

Please take this at face value: this is a Pakistani restaurant located in a South St Paul truck stop. So, if you were planning on doing a 'Joy Ride's movie marathon, I would suggest holding off til after you come here.

The ambience at Biryani Stop is quaint and charming. The food which is somewhere advertised as being like food one would get at home, is exactly that assuming you're Pakistani.

I got the goat biryani. The rice was very well spiced, and the meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, which I typically have not found with goat meat.

My mother got the Pakistani equivalent of Butter Chicken. Also, delicious. The sauce had been much reduced throughout the day since we arrived a couple hours before close and had an umami quality a lot like the crusty bits in a lasagna pan.

They have a lunch buffet for 19.99$ a person. Dinner entrees were closer to 15$ per dish.

Naan was standard fare and very useful for mopping up butter chicken sauce.

The chai was delightfully spicy and not too sweet.

Before we left, the cook/server/dishwasher offered us complementary dessert. He called it trifle. Someone from the southern United States might call it banana pudding. I was ecstatic.

I highly recommend trying this place and, if you do, being mindful that there are trucks entering and exiting regularly.

Best Halal desi food in all of twin cities. Not even close. I’m driving 30+ minutes for this

First, keep in mind that when it comes to authentic #Pakistani #cuisine, there very few in and around Twin Cities (#Minneapolis and #SaintPaul). Moreover, the #Indian restaurants have more South Indian recipes while Pakistani dishes are closer to North Indian Cuisine.
#BiryaniStop is definitely one of the best #halal Pakistani cuisine in town. There are very few to none restaurants who can make #Korma and they have the best. In the buffet, we tried #ChickenBiryani, #GoatKorma, #Paya (goat #knuckles), #Nihari (Beef), #ChickenTikka, #Haleem (Beef), #Puri, #ChanaMasala and the list goes on. Everything was great!
Though entrance is a bit confusing as it is in the middle of the truck-stop/stand, once you are in, it is comfortable. Staff is very courteous and friendly.

One of the best authentic true Pakistani restaurants in North America! That is not a understatement; been to places all over Canada and America and this place is easily in the top 10!

Their Weekend Brunch is amazing!!

It is located in truckstop/ Gas station; but gets packed super fast with families!

Must stop if you are coming to Minneapolis!

This restaurant lives up to its name. We went to the restaurant (it is more a dhaba than a restaurant), to grab a bite. It is in the back of a truck stop. Kind of out of the way. However, it is a hidden gem. Particularly, poori were fresh as were naan. Pulao and biryani were authentic in taste. Nihari was also good. Service was quick. I would recommend for a buffet of halwa poori and nihari.

Very good food. I have not had great Pakistan goat biryani and goat korma in the twin cities. All the menu items looks good. The location of the restaurant needs to be improved.

Authentic Pakistani restaurant in USA. I just loved the food here. We ordered biryani, pulao, chargha, kebab, chicken tikka, chicken qurmo and chicken karahi. Everything was amazing and up to the mark. Whenever I visit MN, I must go to this place.
The ambiance is reasonable and you have to order a day before for chargha, but otherwise the food is awesome.

A good Pakistani taste!
Loved the Chicken Biryani, halwa puri was good but pricey ($19.99 for 2 puris), gol gappay were good too.

Hands down the best Pakistani restaurant in Twin cities!

Authentic Pakistan food.
The weekend brunch buffet is awesome. Previously when ever I crave Pakistani food, I used to drive to chicago but now I drive only 80 miles to have their weekend buffet

Don’t miss it at any cost….

This is my second review… they have upgraded the restaurant and I added those photos… I have been to this place at least 10times now and every time the result was very good.. they have tandoori roti which is also very good as the naan, beef kabob was very juicy and tasty..tried almost all dishes and everything is good.. the owner and ppl over there are very kind and friendly …

First review : We were searching for some good biriyani and found this Restaurent online today…they opened this recently.. they have an all American restaurant and a store as well in the building .. so don’t get confused..there is a truck stop and gas station as well.. but you get into the building and u will find this place..
Now abt the food.
Ordered chicken biriyani , naan , achari chk curry and goat korma…
Biriyani was super good.. big rice but so soft and very good flavor..you will really like it… I don’t think you get a better Naan anywhere else in the world… it’s sooo sooo good and soft… both chk curry and goat curries were really tasty.. it was not spicy (hot) but it has all the spices at the right level… I can tell you , you will love the food here… just go and try out…
Both the ppl there were so humble and nice with us …they had very good tea also
We were there when it was almost closing time , but still they were very accommodative and they were very decent and so friendly with us… I am going back again for sure … I missed to take pic today
