My Bariatric Solutions

I started my journey to get the Bariatric surgery back in March 2022. I initially consulted with two centers in my hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina, and found that they are more interested in the money then your wellbeing, at a cost of up to $26,000 for the surgery! I continued my search and found centers in Jordan, Turkey, Nevada, California, Delaware, and Texas; I ended up interviewing with nine different doctors! At the end, I chose My Bariatric Solutions in Decatur, Texas. During my Zoom meeting with Dr. Islam, she asked me lots of questions about myself and goals. It showed that she cared as she wanted to understand exactly what I'm going through and what’s best for me. She even recommended fixing the hiatal hernia before the gastric sleeve and said it would be included in the overall surgery cost. Dr. Islam was the first doctor from all the others who offered me this; all the other surgeons said it would be two separate procedures and separate costs. I sensed her care and her genuine want for my wellbeing and what is best for me. Dr. Islam gave me the best advice amongst all the other eight doctors that I interviewed with. That shows how dedicated and sincere doctor Islam is. After I signed up with her clinic, I met with her nutritionist Rebecca and Nurse Practitioner Beryl, I felt like I was in good hands. The degree of their professionalism, knowledge and beautiful attitude and sprit surpassed my expectations. The supporting staff were incredible as well, they were very supportive and very genuine; they answered my calls and messages immediately in preparation for my surgery.

Finally on April 24th, 2023, I had my surgery with Dr. Islam it was the most wonderful experience I could have hoped to have with surgery! The morning after the surgery, I felt the whole world has changed! I woke up so happy and so energetic. I had no issues or problems, and when I called and emailed the center, I got immediate attention and was answered directly. Until today, the support I have received is impeccable - I could not have asked for any better. If anyone asks me, I will recommend only Dr. Islam and her My Bariatric Solutions practice in Decatur, Texas.

From the moment I made my first phone call My Bariatric Solutions staff has treated me like I was their most valuable patient. Any time I have had a question, they are quick to respond. I was skeptical having surgery in the middle of Covid but everything was smooth sailing. The staff made sure I had all the necessary info to be successful prior to my surgery date. The staff at the hospital was phenomenal. Dr Smith is great to work with. I’m three months into my journey and feeling great.

My experience with with MBS has been great. They let me know everything up front, the paperwork was thorough and the staff patiently answered my many questions. Dr. Smith was amazing, he made me feel very prepared and taken care of. Post surgery they have checked in on me and still answer my many questions with a positive attitude. I love the commitment they make to their patients the staff is amazing.

I had gastric sleeve surgery with Dr. Islam on 5/27/21. I had the best experience with this practice and system. Everyone is super nice and understanding. They made sure I understood everything that was going on, how I would be feeling, and have followed up with me several times since surgery. This is the best decision I have ever made. I felt safe with all of the members of the team here and am so thankful for every person there.

Dr. Smith and is amazing staff aided in saving my life. I am forever grateful for their outstanding care and support throughout my gastric sleeve journey. Anyone who is considering this step should definitely call My Bariatric Solutions to aid in their knowledge and understanding. I cannot say enough wonderful things about how much better my life is, thanks to this amazing establishment. Best decision I ever made.

My experience with My Bairiatric Solutions has been wonderful. From the beginning everyone has been so nice and helped make me feel very comfortable. Dr. Islam is so nice and always treated me with kindness. I am very happy I chose this place to begin my new weight loss journey.

The surgeon, staff, nurses, and everyone who works for them are kind and helpful. I appreciate them helping me to become the new and improved me. If I had to do it over again, I would not change a single thing. They are phenomenal!!

Great staff! Dr. Smith did my sleeve September 2, 2020. The hospital staff was excellent- very caring. Had my 3 month checkup in December at the Abilene mobile location. Very supportive staff with lots of encouragement.

No more feeling like you are being herded around and left to wait for endless hours. I used My Bariatric Solutions in Decatur and have had a wonderful experience. They are easy to get a hold of, they answer questions immediately and I felt they really cared about my health. The follow up process has been easy. I have had zero issues with them, and a very smooth process

Such an awesome experience. With Covid my first visit was tele-med. Dr Islam went over everything with me of what to expect. Meeting the staff face to face the day before surgery really helped calm my nerves.
Even after surgery staff always available via patient portal to help with any questions or concerns. I highly recommend My Bariactric solutions to anyone wanting a healthier life!!

Bariatic Solutions is amazing, they saved my life. I’ve been over weight my whole life and being disabled has been very difficult and making even harder to lose weight. I’m so thankful and blessed that I have been able to have the gastric sleeve done by Dr. Smith in Decatur, Texas. When I first seen him in February 3020, I was at 338 lbs. and before my surgery I was at 307 on August 18th when I had my surgery, and today I’m at 260 lbs. yes I’m losing at a slower pace but it’s better then gaining, thank God!!

From the preparation to the post op and release. Dr. Heath Smith and his surgical team are truly exceptional. I searched for the best reviews, and although I was in fear of and mourning the loss of food, I was reassured by Dr. Smith. His bedside manner is simply fantastic. The education and preparation that you receive is nothing short of perfect. The experience was exactly as every person described. From the front desk, to the dietitian, to the women on his surgical team, each had a comment just when you started to panic that set you at total ease. It helps that it seems like 90 percent of the staff at both My Bariatric Solutions and the staff at the hospital Wise Regional were all veterans of the procedure. Superb!!

Bariatic Solutions Decatur. Great office. Answered questions when I had them (which was a lot). The appointments are on time. No long waiting times. Dr and Nurses were great. I like the required post surgery check ups to make sure you are staying on track

Dr. Smith and the staff have been a pleasure to work with and get to know. They are always there for any questions or concerns I have and always have made me feel like my health is important. I was sleeved 9/16/20 and have lost almost 80 lbs and have my life back! This would not be possible without Dr. Smith and his team!!

I had my Gastric Sleeve surgery with Dr. Heath Smith. The office staff is amazing, and the willingness to go the extra mile is wonderful. Even after a year after surgery they are willing to help to maintain the weight loss.

I had gastric sleeve and have lost about 60# so far and I am still losing weight. Dr. Stowers and his staff have been great. I have referred friends and will continue to do so. I just talked to one friend who just got clearance from his cardiologist and will be starting his paperwork tomorrow. It is life changing and anyone considering Bariatric surgery should go see Dr. Stowers. I am off of all blood pressure and diabetic medications and I am testing good. My knees are not hurting like they were either. My Orthopedic doctor is amazed that I haven't needed shots in my knees for quite a while.

The staff and physicians here are fantastic! Very nice, caring and make sure you are properly educated on everything that's going on with your procedure. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to have weight loss surgery!
