I don't know if we get special treatment, or if they treat everyone this way, but they are the absolute very best! Very accommodating with getting your car in. They are honest, friendly, and hard working. We are never disappointed with them. It's always a pleasant experience no matter what we need done. The shop guys and office staff are super nice and treat you like family. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Keep up the good work guys!

If you want to be treated with respect and honesty, if you want your car repaired and you want to support good people, this is the auto shop for you. I love them here. I would take my car nowhere else.

A great mechanic is hard to find. We found them here. Everyone in the shop including the front desk is fantastic. They go above and beyond. Highly recommend.

I spent the night in a motel in Johnstown, New York, in September after learning that my motorhome headlights were not functioning. I spoke to Peter at American-Foreign Auto Repair early the next morning. His day was full, but he said he would take a quick look at the Sprinter if I would bring it right over. Fifteen minutes later, Peter had found a loose connection on one side and a burned out bulb on the other side. I left 10 minutes later with functioning headlights with new bulbs. He charged less than I might have paid for new bulbs alone at an auto parts store. Peter knew exactly how to troubleshoot the electrical problem, was very efficient and personable, and turned what might have been a nightmare into a blip in my travels. He was so helpful and professional that I can confidently highly recommend him.

Absolutely amazing place! Was able to get my car in right away and the secretary was super friendly and offered to take me home to wait for my car to get fixed, and picked me back up when it was ready! Will be using for all services from now on!

I’m sorry for this late review. My neighbor and I were heading out to Letchworth State Park the end of October to go go bow hunting. While travel the thruway the car started to make loud thumping noises from underneath. We pulled of to the breakdown lane to check but couldn’t see anything. After finding American Foreign Auto Repair on line I called and the owner said to come in and they would look at the car.
After driving ten miles very slowly so the thumping wasn’t quite as bad we got to their shop. The owners son was expecting us and helped us park and disconnect the trailer we were pulling. He took a short test drive and came back saying that he had a good idea what the problem was. He put the car on a lift and showed us the coupling bearing was gone and needed to be replaced. The owner came in and looked at the car and agreed with his son.
The owner offered to drive us to a hotel to spend the night or to a restaurant to get something to eat. They had the part early next morning and the car was ready to go by noontime. The total cost was very reasonable. This business is extremely professional and they were extremely helpful.

Of the several auto repair businesses I have frequented over the years in this area, American & Foreign is hands-down the best. Their integrity and honesty stands out - they will not push services that you do not really need, unlike a couple of the large chain shops nearby, and they do excellent work.

They know what they are doing. Great place for BMW's.

American Foreign Auto has fixed both of my Saabs for years. The owner knows foreign cars inside and out. Good at diagnosing problems. When it was time to get a new/used car there was no pressuring and I purchased a car from them at a reasonable/honest price.

While passing through Johnstown, our Boxster S began gushing coolant. We stopped at several auto shops and no one was able to help. Someone recommended American Foreign Auto but by the time we got there, it was closed. As we sat in the parking lot, the owner's son came out and offered to help us. He opened the shop, put the car on a lift and spotted the problem. We were impressed with the professionalism, the well-kept and immaculate garage as well as the kindness extended to us. I highly recommend American & Foreign Auto, especially for BMW's and foreign cars. Thank you Petar for helping us when we were stranded and far from home!
