Jimmy’s Steak & Onion

Old school diner with terrific food and great tasting sodas... I don't know what it is about the sodas but they taste so much better than any other fountain drinks you'd normally get. Fries are crispy and tasty. I had a steak and onion sandwich and my guest had chicken tenders.. Omg, both were so good. It's great to have these small private restaurants with owners who love to feed you! Drop in and support a great local joint!

We were looking for something different for lunch at work and someone suggested Jimmy's. We have not tried them yet so off we ordered.

Everything was hot when we opened our containers. BEST part was he poked some small holes in the lids so that our bread and fries weren't mushy or soggy.

The steak burger was fantastic. It had two steaks on it that were flavorful and a good size.
The chicken strips were crispy and the steak, cheese and mushroom was excellent and everything was fulfilling. We did NOT go hungry.

I am not sure who was working when I went in to pick up but he was so friendly and sweet. We will definetly be ordering again.

I absolutely loved my lunch here at Jimmy’s steak and onion. Service was friendly and quick but most importantly food was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely come back for more. 10/10 cheesesteaks! Thanks Jimmy!!

It was good, soft bun and not greasy. I'll have to go back for ice cream next. It's hard to make a go of a business in a small town, I hope they stay in business. Everybody please try them out.

The food is very yummy! Best steak & onion subs, better than big johns.

Steak , onion, cheese n mushroom was made fresh right in front of me. Also tastes excellent. Love the old-school atmosphere in here. If I lived closer, this would be my regular spot! The owner is super nice and gives great service!

Finally got around to trying this place and I was not disappointed! I got a Philly and it was ready fast and delicious! I’m a chef as a side profession so I know good food when I try it and Jimmy’s is a place to go to if you haven’t yet. I live within walking distance so I’ll definitely be a regular there. Plus Jimmy has ice cream which my kids are going to love!

Went there for the first time a few weeks ago… and got the Philly cheese steak…. Very good! And his sub sauce was different but very good! Definitely set the sandwich off! I’ll definitely go back when I’m in the area again….. the wait time was not very long either….. made it fresh and no complaints here… I’d recommend this place to anyone….

Love it here. Got the chicken tenders and they were delicious! The entire place was decked out it Coca Cola decor and was very well-put together. Jimmy was very kind and offered us condiments, 10/10 experience!

Great food, only suggestion i would make is maybe a softer bread that sucks in more juice! Good job JIMMY!!

Stopped for lunch today. Had the Philly. It was very good. No skimping on the filling- steak, onions, green & red peppers, swiss cheese. The bun was perfect for the sandwich.
The owner and his sister were very nice.
The atmosphere is fine....located in an old building that had been a restaurant for years. No upgrades, but clean.
Would recommend!

Stopped here for lunch when I was in town for work. Food was great & served quickly, and Jimmy was very friendly and conversational. Old-School feel with a building LOADED with Coca-Cola Memorabilia. Highly recommended!

If you like Big John's, you will like Jimmy's. The owners were really friendly and made sure we were welcomed. We were asked several times if we needed anything. The prices are good and I got exactly what I paid for. The sandwich was delicious and the bread was fresh. I would definitely come back and would recommend Jimmy's to anyone looking for a delicious steak sandwich!

If you love Big John's you'll love Jimmy's steak 🥩 and onion 🧅 subs. Fantastic food. I tried the Philly cheese stake and really enjoyed it. Highly recommend you stop in and give this new local business your patronage. We need to support our local businesses 🙏 💕 Great location in downtown Durand with a local tavern right nextdoor. I'll be going back to try the chicken sub.

My teenage twin daughters are obsessed with Jimmy’s. 😅 They pass by it walking home from school and will go in with their friends sometimes and get carry out. It’s become their go-to when we have an “eating out” night.

Had Jimmie's again tonight and it was great as usual. The philly cheese steak was outstanding and tried out their new item, the fries. Very generous portion for the price. Definitely recommend!

Nice llittle place,great subs. Owner nice as can be. So glad I stopped in,will definitely be back!
