Cocina Plantosaurus

I’ve been here many many times, and still discovering new dishes!

Fell in love with the ambiance and the flavors of their food! Definitely was overwhelmed, in the best way possible, by the choices so got more food than I could possibly eat and gladly had it for leftovers the next day.

We tried the papas supremas which were honestly my favorite thing I've had in the area. The balance of fresh flavors, withe sauces and meats were out of this world delicious. Definitely plenty to share with a group but there were only two of us and had left overs. Will get this again next time!
We also got the empanadas. We tried the pizza and the pionono (meat, sweet plantain, and cheez). Would definitely get the pionono and try one of their other flavors. The pizza one was delicious but the pionono flavor was on a whole other level.

Then we had the mofongo. Our first experience and it was delicious. We tried the chin one. It was smothered in a garlic sauce that smelled and tasted so yummy! Definitely a good portion to share.

We also tried the piña colada which was so sweet and delicious on a hot day. Would get this as a dessert.

Place was supper clean and staff was welcoming and nice. Food comes out as it's ready which I appreciate. Love having another all vegan option near us.

This is one of the most soulful places I've ever eaten. Just look at this thing!
Tacos were great, fries were better than McWendy King.

Cocina Plantosaurus is amazing!!! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Inside of the building there is lots of fun decorations and an overall great atmosphere. The food was so flavorful and fresh. There were also some really fun drink options. The lavendar latte was one of the best drinks I've ever had in my life. I cannot wait to come back and try more items. Thank you for sharing this vegan goodness with the world!!!

Do not miss this hidden gem. Family friendly place with clean protein, fresh veggies 🥗 and lovely atmosphere! I had a simple salad and cafe con Leche. Lyam, the owner, and her best friend, Ily made me feel very welcome 🤗 and patiently answered all my questions about bringing my four wild and crazy grandchildren here. Lyam reassured me that they love children. So, I am looking forward to having a fun place to bring the families together!

Amanzing Puertorican infused Vegan food… nom nom nom!!! It’s a two girl band with, family that helps on the weekends. Mom and Pop of the vegan world. I ordered the RELLENOS DE PAPA and the BRONTOSAURUS PLATTER 🤌. Such a gem of a little place. 2 beautiful ladies that cook it all in front of you, and a cozy cute Dino atmosphere. There’s lots of love there!

The food was fresh and excellent. I loved the mofongo! Everything is plant based and delicious. The staff are kind and attentive and some of the dishes are served in dinosaurs containers which the kids love.

Love, love, love this place!! I love the decor and positive vibe, the friendly service and their food and unique drinks are absolutely delicious!
And their sushi special of the day are so delicious!

This place is the great escape the best food the kindest people. Oh my goodness I can’t wait to go back again. My wife simply loves this place and I am a fan too.

GUAVA HOT SAUCE IS LEGIT! We drove from VA, worth the trip. Some of these dishes are better than the traditional meat version. #1🏆The Papas rellenas (stuffed potatoes), also all their delicious empanadas (“meat”, plus 3 other versions), their stuff avocado, their “burger” and their Virgin Piña Colada, and Virgin Mojitos are so delish. The Owner & entire staff, welcoming, very attentive. Food came out fast, clean facilities & beautiful decor. Excellent for a private party, could add music. Pride of ownership everywhere you look. If you want a little piece of heaven; order the Papas rellenas, add an empanadas, a side of rice & beans, plus any of their specialty drinks.

What another wonderful plantbased establishment to find AND enjoy. We REALLY enjoyed our meal and getting to meet the staff that are also incredible. The pride in their work, food, the establishment and the plantbased message more than shows that they are doing what they love. Taking a look at the photos that others have submitted as well as the photos that I providing shows that Cocina Plantosaurus is more than a place to eat food. At Cocina Plantosaurus, you get to do some cultural travel and enjoy a wonderful meal. The are going places!!!!!!!!

Delicious! If you have not been, you really should try! The food is so fresh and flavorful and the service is always great. My husband, a carnivore, gave it a try and loved the jackfruit tacos (and everything else that we ordered). He readily agreed to come back and we are both excited to try some other new things on our next visit. So, so yummy! A gem right here in our town.

1,000% recommend! Born and raised in Puerto Rico and NEVER in my life would I have thought that having the food I grew up eating would be THIS FANTASTIC IN A VEGAN FORM! The staff is AMAZING and they will go above and beyond to let you feel at home.

Uff if you haven’t been here you are definitely missing out! Giving this five stars is not enough honestly.

Sheesh! Best vegan food I have had EVER!!! I love everything about this place. Please check my other reviews; I call it like I see it. This is the one. The empanadas, the chik’n mofongo …. all I can say is dont wait until they run out… I am now a regular customer 💯 #vegan

This place was seriously SO DELICIOUS!! My mom is vegan so when I came into town to visit her recently, we had to give this Vegan Puerto Rican good a try. The Nojito and the Butterfly hibiscus tea were so refreshing. I could have drunken a gallon of the Nojito, seriously so tasty!! I got the Rex in a Canoe for my meal and it was so tasty and fresh. The mix of the sweet plantain and savory impossible meat was perfect, I really loved it. My mom got the Puerto Rican cart dog and she absolutely loved it! We also god the loaded fries for an appetizer and empanadas and we ate them so fast, we barely spoke while we were eating!! Besides the incredible food, the service was top tier and the interior was so cute!! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a delicious meal served quickly and be surrounded by super friendly people as well!!

The food and drink flavors are always incredible and the staff is so kind! Usually I get the empanadas or the sushi roll on special. But run, don’t walk, next time these jackfruit tacos are on special!

This place is a gem. Have been here multiple times. Vegan Puerto Rican food in downtown Charlestown. The owners are sooooo nice. The food is fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is adorbs!

One of the best meals I’ve had while staying in Charles Town. I’m not vegan/vegetarian but every once and awhile you have to give your colon a break. The food was served fast, everything was fresh, the entire staff was friendly, I can’t complain about a single thing. Hot sauce was on point too! If you’re looking for a vegan option or feel adventurous, Cocina Plantosaurus is for you!

One of the best plant based restaurants I've ever been to! I'm so glad this place exists, I'll be making the drive to come eat here again!

Been here a few times now and love this place every time. This time I got the Puerto Rican sushi roll and it was fried to perfection and delicious! Last time I got the beyond triceratops and that was seriously so innovative and good. This is such a gem of a place.

Street parking was also easy to find out front on a Friday night.

Don’t judge them on the picture I plated it myself. 😆 As a meat eater, I was skeptical that they could achieve the flavors in Puerto Rican food. I was pleasantly surprised that I prefer their meatless “meat” and potato empanada over actual meat ones I have had other places. The tostones were incredible, just like we make them. So good.
