Custom Fretted Instruments

You cannot find more expertise or friendly people anywhere. I've had then fix 2 Martin guitars, 3 basses, another acoustic guitar and they are working on a Taylor guitar now. Almost like visiting family when you go to their shop. I don't have words to recommend them as highly as they deserve!

I am so very pleased with the work done on my guitar. They replaced seven frets and adjusted my action on my Breedlove guitar. I have had this instrument for thirteen years. It has never played better! I highly recommend the work and great service here. Wonderful work and people!

I dropped off my ibanez 7 string s series with tremolo and had a setup done. These guys did a great job. I'm extremely pleased with it. They also have some awesome guitars and pedals. I'll definitely be bringing my other guitars in.

They have taken care of my guitar and amp repair since I was 15. I am now 52. I've always been treated more like a family member than a customer. And their work is exceptional to say the least. Always look forward to stopping in for a visit!

These folks are awesome. Bought a new Blueridge and took it to them to set it up, as they are listed on the Blueridge website as the place to go. They immediately found the neck wasn’t set right. I personally would have never known. Took it back and upgraded to a different Blueridge. Took it straight back to them and was told all is well. I replaced the strings to their recommendations and this Blueridge sings. I can’t thank them enough for their hospitality and great work. By the way, they have some pretty sweet guitars for sale themselves, which I didn’t know. I’ll definitely be back.

Joyce, Steve and Doug are excellent technicians that are honest, knowledgeable and experienced with vintage instruments and new instruments. Joyce is an inlay artist that is amazing. I have been a customer for 25 years.

The good people at custom fretted instruments are very knowledgeable, friendly , and honest. I had bought a guitar on line and it had some issues. Steve looked it over right then and there, fixed it and assured me the guitar was fine. Their prices are more than fair, and I would recommend them for all my guitar needs .

I took my 1972 Guild guitar to replace a few frets. They finished the work sooner than expected. The guitar played as good as ever. I definitely recommend Custom Fretted Instruments to anyone that needs an instrument repaired.

I took my 12 string here to get some work done, and they did a great job, and I was pleased. Then I had another 12 string that the bridge was lifting. They fixed the problem, and it looked, and played like new. I also had a Dobro that was very important to me, and had gotten damaged. When these folks returned it to me, I could not tell where the damage had ever been. Amazing craftsmanship. Great folks, and I would highly recommend.

I have always been pleased with their work on my instruments. They are fast, high quality, and reasonably priced. On several instruments of mine and my sons, they have repaired cracks and splits, reglued a lifting bridge, reset necks, replaced nuts and saddles and frets, done setups, a compression refret, fixed intonation problems, and made cosmetic repairs. All with excellent work by an expert team. I even bought a new guitar from their shop a few years ago. I highly recommend Steve and Joyce, nice folks with lots of knowledge and very customer-focused approach.

Wow, it's like visiting friends that happen to be great luthiers. Very honest, friendly and they take time to explain everything! I drove 2 hours to get there and very glad I did.

Old fashioned, personalized service. Joyce is an inlay wizard and Steve is a personable, extremely knowledgeable and experienced instrument technician. I've never been the least disappointed in any of my interactions for maintenance or repair of high end instruments.
