I have never viewed a waitress working so hard to keep up with all of the people in the dining room. It was extremely impressive. At times she was running. Lasagna special was fantastic. Service impeccable.

The price is abit high; but the Food is good. The service is great.

Authentic NOLA food and great portions. I drive 2 hours to eat there. I can't recommend it enough, you will not be disappointed.

Had several meals from them at the uS Open Trap Shoot. Service and food quality were absolutely outstanding!!! Wish I had more time there to try more items on the menu.

Only pic I got was the frog legs. We had the brisket tacos and the chicken fried steak. Lots of food and it was amazing. Loved it!

Wow, what a find! We had fried breaded catfish, crawfish etouffee, and gumbo with a side of green beans. Everything was delicious, the staff was great, and the premises clean. Definitely recommended.

Stopped in for dinner and was very impressed! Delicious food and good variety. Gotta get away from the chains to enjoy some real food!

You don't expect to find authentic Cajun food in Southern Illinois, but Broadway Bayou is as good as any cajun food I have had in Louisiana. The only logical conclusion is that someone picked a restaurant off Tchoupitoulas St in New Orleans and dropped it in downtown Sparta.
My favorite is the crawfish etoufee smothered fried catfish. They also have good gumbo.
They have a wide selection of appetizers (try the alligator bites!) and the portions are huge.
This is one of the best restaurants in Sparta and the food here is always delicious.

First time in, and it didn't disappoint! They were short a cook, but let us know right away( we're in the industry, we get it, and respect to you) made sure our drinks were always full. Apps came out decently quick, were amazing and made the wait seem alot shorter than she said it would be!(wasn't watching the time anyway, it was our night out)! Final outcome= perfect! Already have a night planned to come back and do it again!

Went here, with my mom and my son, for my 31st birthday, this year. The food was pretty good. I especially loved the green beans side I had. I got the alligator, as well, and it tasted great! My mom got the steak with steak butter, and she let me try some of it. It also tasted really good. My family has eaten take out from this place, often, in the past, and I think I may have had their chicken fr take out, before, but I've never dined inside and ate there. I don't think my mom had, either. It was clean and I loved the way it was set up inside, as well. The booths were really cool, and had an end seating option against the wall, which I have not really seem done at most places, before, so I was pretty fascinated with that. I'm easily amused, I suppose haha. Anyway, I highly recommend.

By far the best Cajun food I’ve had outside of the Deep South. (Which is where I grew up and still live)

They have done catering for different events the years and it has been excellent. Today we ordered carry out for our Sparta Office and it was also excellent. Everyone was happy with their meal. And we love to stop in at the restaurant for dinner
