This review is STRICTLY for the Caesar Salad Wrap! The sauce, the lettuce, the use of real croutons and parmesan left us in AWE. Our only notes were more salad and less chicken please :) Now, let’s start talking about the sides… Hands down the best fries we’ve ever had and the potato salad is the second best after my own kitchen. We would like to award extra point for the pickle accompaniment on the plate. The price for one is $15, I’ll say before you all can… it’s a steal!!! Long story short, if you want to feel at home and eat delicious food go to our local favorite spot and have a blast!

Rating Reflection: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟“Great” barely scratches the surface when describing the Zaftigs experience. It’s a culinary landmark that’s a must-visit, transcending the boundaries of Massachusetts with its universal appeal for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

Homey Decor: 🏠💺Stepping into Zaftigs is like entering a classic diner, complete with an ambiance that feels like home. The setup strikes a perfect balance, offering ample space for comfortable conversations while still maintaining that vibrant city diner buzz.

Service Excellence: 🙋‍♂☕The service at Zaftigs is consistently top-notch. The staff’s attention to detail, from constant beverage refills to prompt and accurate order handling, ensures every dining experience is nothing short of perfect.

Culinary Delight: 🍲🥞Zaftigs sets the gold standard for food quality. The menu, though not overly extensive, is meticulously crafted, featuring Jewish delicacies alongside beloved brunch classics. The Matzah Ball Soup is a heartwarming nod to tradition, served just right - piping hot. The apple and cheddar omelet, a delightful blend of sweet and savory, defies expectations, while the French Toast, served to my girlfriend, redefines fluffiness. Every dish is a testament to Zaftigs’ commitment to culinary excellence.

In Retrospect: 🤔Zaftigs isn’t just a deli; it’s an institution that celebrates the joy of dining. Whether it’s the wait, the season, or the dish, the experience at Zaftigs is worth every moment.

Final Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - “Great”“Zaftigs: Where Every Meal Feels Like Coming Home.”

For an unforgettable dining experience that feels like a warm embrace, Zaftigs Delicatessen is the place to be. It’s more than food; it’s a feast for the soul. 🍴❤🥞

This is my second time visiting Zaftigs and the experience was just as amazing as my first time (which led me back)! Friendly, professional staff, hearty servings, fresh ingredients and amazing potato salad!!! I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is one of my favorite spots to go to when I’m in Boston. The restaurant is technically in a suburb of the city but you get my drift. The servers are always pleasant and I’ve never had a dish I didn’t enjoy. I usually get a sandwich of some sort. This go round I had the Monte Cristo because it was the weekend of thanksgiving and I didn’t eat much the day of. Of course it didn’t disappoint. The sandwich was huge and the fries are perrrrfecto. They’re Cajun/season fries. Mind you, you don’t get a lot BUT it’s fine because the sandwiches are heavy duty. Go visit if you’re ever in town. They serve breakfast as well. Prices are reasonable too. Check it out 😉

Overall, the deli captured the essence of tradition, flavor, and community, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to savory cuisine. I left with a happy heart and a full belly, already counting down the days until I can return for another memorable meal.

The knish's simplicity is its charm, yet it manages to pack a punch of flavor that always leaves me wanting more.

Be prepared to be overwhelmed with the flavor from their sandwiches, complemented with a new dill pickle. The deli mustard is explosive with flavor.
Make room for some matzo ball soup and bagel chips with your meal, it's good for you.

We went here for lunch and it was absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend the Reuben, the Monte Cristo, the Pastrami and Swiss, and the French Fries. There was about a ten minute wait when we went on a Saturday morning, but they kept tables moving through quickly. Once we were seated, the service was prompt and friendly.

Pastrami, potato pancakes, matzo ball soup and chocolate egg crème… all legit. This unassuming place would be at home in NY, Chicago or anywhere else that knows the value of a good rye bread.

This is one of the best food spots I've been to in the Greater Boston area. I came here for a meeting off recommendation, and let me tell you, I'm glad. It's a must try. The entire vibe of Zaftigs is "old diner".

The menu is large, but, unlike other eateries, this is not an affliction. I'm sure every item on it is delicious. I particularly got the Banana Stuffed French Toast and a Sesame Bagel with cream cheese. Both dishes were on the smaller side (by my standards), but well worth it for experience. For the French Toast, they brought over extra powdered sugar and syrup for me, and but I didn't need it. The toast had its own rich flavor, and the filling was super sweet. The bagel was hearty and the cream cheese was rich -- like any good deli.

The service was warm and friendly, and I was asked many times by a kind lady with a coffee pot if I wanted to refill. Prices were decent too.

The surrounding area is conducive for a day trip. There are bookstores, a library, and many other good places to explore around. There's also a really cool mural on the side of the building. I'd highly recommend visiting multple times to explore the entire menu; I certainly will be, coming back witih my friends.

My first time there Tuesday and it was wonderful. Great customer service. Management was very friendly. If you have not been there yet, I highly recommend you try it you will not be disappointed. If you have been there then you need to return. And to make my experience even better They have the best chocolate cookies I have ever had. You can absolutely tell everything is homemade.I cant wait to go back.

Their meat knishes alone are worth the trip. The matzo ball soup was so perfectly savory and comforting and Ruben and fries were perfect. The fries were so crispy kinda battered and the bread on the Ruben was crispy and flavorful holding together some delightfully delicious corned beef. I wish I lived around the corner from this restaurant but it’s probably good that I don’t. lol

We were in Boston for our anniversary and heard we should try Zaftigs. We rode the green line and hiked over. What a wonderful experience. The food was terrific. Service extremely good. Atmosphere perfect. Highly recommend the visit.

Great food! My husband had the cobb wrap and i had the lemon chicken sandwich - i forgot to ask for it “dressed” and the staff was kind enough to bring out the dressings; They accommodated my error. Delicious food!!

First time there. Loved the decor. Felt so warm & fuzzy. There were 5 of us for breakfast. We tried a little of this & that for variety. Very satisfied. Would return. Next time we must try a few of the bakery items. We were too full today.

Generous portions and food is incredibly delicious! Breakfast is served all day and prices are reasonable for that area. Our waiter and the other staff were very friendly. Cozy and old fashioned diner with great music like Sinatra and Billie Holiday. Some very funny paintings in the restrooms, but you'll have to see for yourself.

Got catering for a party following a great in-house dining experience and Zaftig's was a hit! Their catering portion sizes are generous, traveled well, and everything was delicious. Will certainly be reaching out to them again in the future.
