Shawarma King

This place was excellent! Their halal Sharma plate was delicious and more than good serving size. They have lamb shank (a rare find!) my friend got and I will be back to try it next time!

Very friendly staff, greeting us with salaam as we came in and saw we were Muslim, but I saw them interact with many people, Muslim or not, and they got the same excellent courtesy!

Small, clean Egyptian restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. We ordered falafel salad and sandwiches, Greek gyro fries, and beef shawarma. We did not have to wait long for our takeaway order and it tasted good. The falafel was seasoned with lots of dill and had other vegetables too. The gyro fries were greasy with a tasty yogurt sauce and the shawarma was also good! They also had baklava and other desserts which we did not get but looked tasty. Price range was normal for the area.

Literally the best Shawarma plate in the whole U-district. I had tried all middle east food on this area. This one is the best!

Solid spot and inexpensive compared to the other restaurants in Seattle.
Their shawarma sandwich was solid and the portion size was good . Comes with rice pita and hummus and lots of chicken.
The falafel balls on the side were nice as well.
The place is a small sit down place . Grab a quick bite and leave .

I can’t help but excited anytime Shawarma King enters my cerebrum because of how my taste buds are always treated after a meal. The garlic paste and the lamb shawarma are to die for. Service is quick and the food quality is excellent. I also love seeing how the owner continues to strive for authenticity. I will be returning.

Went here to get a snack before a concert nearby and the food was delicious. Everything is made to order so it can take a few minutes to receive your food, but it’s worth the wait. The Greek fries were delicious. I highly recommend those. Prices are affordable and you get pretty large portions.

Alright Shawarma King, 2nd time here, 1st time I ate the food so fast I didn't get any pictures 😅. Had the Gyro plate, Greek fries, and the Baklava roll.. Absolutely delicious, the Gyro meat, the rice, salad, hummus, the pita bread freshly grilled was on point. Flavor was on point 👌 Best Greek Fries Ever 🤌. 2nd time was Chicken Shawarma plate and Greek fries, I couldn't resist. It did not disappoint. Grab some of their chili sauce as well. Neat spot tucked in the university district. Very close to my hotel within walking distance.

This place is great for a late night meal. The flavors are superb ! Come enjoy some Middle Eastern flavors and change up your palate! I got the lamb shawarma salad 🥗!! So goood and fast service

I tried their shawarma plate and Gyro sandwich. Just amazing all around. The shawarma plate was super tasty, fresh, great long grain rice seasoned to perfection and did not taste old or stale like other restaurants I've had this dish at. The meat and veggies along with the tahini were seasoned to perfection. I really enjoyed the authentic seasoning spices they use. The meat was also deliciously tender.

The Gyro sandwich was also fantastic. More of the seasoning spices all over the veggies along with their sauce really took this over the edge in terms of flavor. It could have used maybe a tad bit more meat but honestly I wad so blown away with how well they layered the flavors that I just didn't care.

The pita bread on both dishes was super soft and fresh as well.

This place is packed all the time and rightfully so. One of the best middle eastern spots on The Ave and in Seattle. The fact that they stay open until 2 and 3am certain nights is also amazing, especially if you are out with friends fir the night. The staff were friendly as well.

There are other similar restaurants on The Ave but this one is called shawarma KING for a reason!

Ah! Fantastic! The dolmas were perfect and not just drowning in sour, you can actually taste the flavors. The rice was perfectly seasoned!!! Ah a dream. The baklava was not like the typical syrupy cloyingly overly sweetened pastry of many, many similar restaurants in America. It is made in house and to their taste which happens to be my taste too! I can’t stop raving about this place.

Always so good! Kofta kebab’s take a bit of time but always super good! If you go past 9p you might have to wait a bit, it’s next to a bar so lots of traffic. Staff is super fast though!

This place is hooking it up right now. At midnight on a Tuesday drunk I was not planning to leave a glowing review. So I got the veggie plate, and baklava. Baklava can be hit or miss, so when it's pretty much perfect, is that luck? I don't know. And then it's this veggie plate which is $15, but I did not expect like three sandwiches worth of food, and then to be enjoying eggplant this much, almost disconcerting. Because I didn't realize the main thing was gonna be this killer grilled eggplant. I'm not like a vegan who was planning to eat mostly eggplant. So yeah these guys hook it up. Look at these pictures

EDIT bro I got the kofta plate. Please understand. I've eaten at alladin like 30 times. Cedars, samir's, sultans, even the other shawarma king, was like ok, now the only contender is shawarma time, next to the trader Joe's. Period. Rock on. Yes

Absolutely Delicious! There are 5 Gyro Places within 6 blocks and this one is hands down the Best place to go! $8.99 Gyro Combo with fries and a soda. The staff is so polite and brings your food to the table. It's clean and cool inside. Definitely recommend!

Inexpensive dining option in the university area. The staff were really nice and welcoming unlike other fast food places. The shawarma was delicious with less salt and preservatives. Infact most of their items seemed freshly cooked

Shawarma King is definitely a local hot spot on the Ave near the University of Washington. This Mediterranean style restaurant has a decently large menu at good prices. Their portions are quite large as well, which is always a plus, especially for local students. Parking outside can be a pain sometimes, but they have lots of seating inside and take out goes pretty quickly. They make their food fresh and are quick so there's not a lot of waiting around. I always go for the plates since it's a combo of rice, meat, humus, salad and pita - you can't beat it. The staff here are always so nice too, they seem to always love a good laugh with the customers.

Their Lamb Shank is to die for!! So authentic and delicious. A little taste of home. Plus being able to practice my arabic by speaking with the Egyptian staff is always a highlight ^^

I was still at work having middle eastern food cravings and drove from Boeing Field to this store in University District at around mid night. Nice atmosphere and great food. It's open late and it's also Halal for those of the muslim faith. I will definately drive up after work again. Keep up the good job guys and thank you.

I had a great experience in this restaurant. The service is fast and friendly but the food speaks for itself. Fair prices and very nice portions, the falafel is delicious!

The absolute best Greek fries with lots of sauce! I also like the chicken shawarma sandwich, the meat is a little dry but the flavor is fantastic.
