Sunrise Restaurant has become our go-to spot in Greenwood Lake, and it's more than just a place to eat—it's like a second home to us. We're regulars here, popping in almost every week, sometimes even a few times within a week. And every time we walk through the door, we're greeted with warmth and kindness that make us feel like part of the family.

The food? Oh, it's always top-notch. Whether we're digging into breakfast or dinner, every dish is cooked with love and care. And it's not just about the food itself—it's the little things they do that make all the difference. Like the extra cup of coffee they sneak in for us, or the fresh fruit they have waiting when we swing by in the morning. And let's not forget the spicy sauce my husband loves—they always remember to bring it out, even without us asking.

What sets Sunrise apart is their genuine friendliness and how they treat us like old pals. They take the time to know us, remember our favorites, and make sure we're happy with every visit. It's that personal touch that keeps us coming back, time and time again.

The food was delicious and good sized portions. They were so nice. When we got stuck there waiting for a tow truck they made a fresh pot of coffee just for my daughter and me and let us stay after closing time and eat/drink while they were cleaning up so we didn't have to wait outside.
Bathrooms were clean as well

Food was delicious. We loved the dessert. Menu has Lots of choices for whole family. Great friendly service. I recommend this place if you are on the area.

I had not heard one bad thing about this place, and was excited to finally try it out for brunch. In a word….fantastic! The menu rivals any diner’s with the amount of choices, but contains even more variety. I had such a hard time choosing, as did my husband. Our portions were generous, the food was flavorful and prompt, the bloody mary’s were top notch, and the service was attentive and very polite. Prices were so incredibly reasonable too. We’re so happy to have this place in town!!

We came here because they were the only place around that would hold space for 11 of us for dinner after time on the lake. But now we’re in love. The menu is broad which had us worried but then everything was delicious. Kids loved it adults loved it. And better than all that the people are so kind. Helpful, smiling, thoughtful, cut up the birthday cake for everyone. Honestly this place is so great. Don’t hesitate.

5 stars all around. We heard rave reviews from a bunch of friends in town and thankfully gave it a try. Our family arrived hungry and boy did they deliver. There is nothing that we ordered that we would not order again and if they only served their empanadas we would frequent just for those! Phenomenal.
Kids had wings and cheese quesadilla and shared our empanadas. We had the Chicken Madeira and Salmon Caeser salad. Service was outstanding. Sangria was dangerously delicious. We will be back soon and so happy to have such a wonderful establishment with so many fresh options in the area!

Great food and value for your money. I don’t hesitate to get either breakfast or dinner at this dinner.

This restaurant surpassed all of my expectations of a small mom n pop shop.

Service was friendly and tentative since we stepped inside the door. Beer was nice and cold. Food was delicious and served fast. We'll def be back when in the area and thank you for a delicious meal!

The Calamari and the steaks melt in your mouth. Seafood is very fresh. Garlic shrimp is my favorite
Everything on the menu is soo good, my family has tried just about everything between the 7 of us, all adults. It's a little pricey but well worth it.

Allison was our server. She was Amazing. This was our 2nd visit. We will be going back again. Very nice people working there.

We were looking for a place open to each and ran into this small eatery which was open, and the food portions were big so there is no going small here. Freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious and the food was fabulous, the service was great. I wish we went for dinner; I would have also ordered a nice cocktail as their bar was fully stocked.

If I could give this more stars, I would. Excellent, excellent food quality and taste, at exceptional prices, with great service. I'll definitely be back, and be back often.

Breakfast was perfect. Nice to have a good, reasonably priced diner in this area. Only suggestion turn the t.v. off in the dining area or take it out. Airport news , I'd rather stare out the window watching traffic.

I've been there a couple of times and it is very good. Food, service, drinks everything is 5 stars and affordable.

This place was excellent! Got a grilled shrimp wrap and it was delicious and fresh. Exactly what I needed on a hot day. Salads also looked amazing.

This is a great and welcomed addition to Greenwood Lake. We needed a place like this!

It’s cozy and conveniently located on Jersey Avenue between Greenwood Lake village area and West Milford, NJ.

The best place to enjoy a meal. I’m there for breakfast and dinner. The staff is amazing.
