The Auditorium Ballroom

We had my bridal shower at the Auditorium Ballroom - on the first floor and it was stunning! They were flexible with our requests and for the rental cost and bar - it was beyond reasonable. So happy we chose here! Thanks again!

I photographed a wedding here December 2023 and I can honeslty say that it was such a dream to shoot here. The building is STUNNING with exposed brick and natural light and the staff was amazing. There is also a bar upstairs and downstairs which were both beautiful and extremely convenient for guests. I would definitely be happy to shoot here again.

As a wedding photographer this venue was great! It was rainy outside but the bar area on the first floor was perfect for portraits and the upstairs would have been amazing if the sun was shining through those windows! There's plenty of space and the bridal suite has a good amount of space if you have a larger party. The staff was extremely helpful as well. Would 100% love to shoot here again!

This was my first time here for a wedding and it was great! As a makeup artist, I appreciate when a venue has a well thought out getting ready area. The bridal suite was beautiful and had plenty of room!! Walking into the space I was blown away by how beautiful everything is. I will definitely add this to my list when brides ask me for recommendations!

Our daughter's wedding reception was held Sept. 3 at the Auditorium Ballroom, and we couldn't be happier with our choice of venue. Mike Bird is very accomodating and made sure that we were happy with all our choices, even offering things that we didn't think about. Plus, he's just an all-around friendly and nice guy who made us feel very welcome. The Ballroom is absolutely beautiful, obviously restored with love as well as a lot of hard work. It is very spacious and we had ample room for the approximately 125 guests, a buffet dinner, and space left over for dancing. We had a cocktail hour before the reception in the downstairs bar area, and my only complaint would be that it gets incredibly loud with everyone talking. All of the workers are very polite and helpful, even asking us if they could do anything else for us. The experience definitely gave a great ending to a perfect wedding day. Many thanks to Mike and his entire staff!

We had our daughter's wedding reception at the Ballroom on July 30. The venue is absolutely beautiful. We had so many wonderful comments from our guests. Mike was great to work with. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend the Auditorium Ballroom. It is truly a gem in the Illinois Valley.

The Auditorium Ballroom is absolutely gorgeous! I had a small gathering in the upstairs ballroom space, and it was perfect. The space is so grandeur and expansive! Mike was amazing to work with, very timely and so accommodating. I hope to have another event there soon and fill up the whole room! A gem!

$3 for a fountain diet Pepsi was way overpriced!! I know what it costs to make one. This is not Chicago.

Went there for a wedding reception awesome venue had some stairs to get to the auditorium but has elevator if needed 250 at the reception that we went to not crowded at all bar staff was always very friendly and fast great place to have a event

Last night at the Auditorium ballroom proved to be a lark. I arrived just in time to hear my friend declared “Queen of the Arts”. During dinner, I approached the long table of honorees and declared, “Hail the Queen! I am at your service.” My friend came around the table to give me a hug. We wondered out loud how it was possible that this crown came to my friend. Maybe, we speculated, a friend known for wealth, had donated an authoritative amount of money. And yet, we’ll never know exactly. That put the evening on a nice foot for me.

I found myself at an agreeable table. I sat with four people from Princeton, probably the only table of people from Bureau County. A board member brought a friend dressed up as the Mad Hatter, an executive in town from Atlanta. I took everyone’s pictures. The ballroom has a long, grand staircase for brides and grooms to make a dramatic entrance. I merely asked my new friends to descend the staircase, smiling for the camera. The descent allowed me to take many pictures, and many turned out to be spectacular. A photographer can make it almost impossible for a picture to get too “posey”.

Very nice wedding venue! Really liked the stuffed shells and creamy garlic dressing.

My daughter recently had her wedding reception there, the reception area is beautiful and roomy. Their staff was accommodating. We recommend the Auditorium Ballroom.

It's a beautiful place with wonderful, helpful, hardworking people. Took an old run-down building and turned it into an event showcase! It's gorgeous and classic...and classy!

We were here for TubaChristmas. It's a gorgeous venue with with lots of open space, and it's a great use of an old building.
