Koi Sushi & Hibachi

This place is so inviting. The food is wonderful. I had a waiter name London I (hope I spelled that right). Anyway, he was so attentive and nice, he just was an absolute wonderful server. So pleasant. I just can nor say enough about this young man. I will definitely be back. Sushi was incredible

Ordered from here while visiting recently! Great food, great pricing and service. Tried to order online for pickup and it said the order went through, but received no confirmation. It didn't go through so we had to place the order when we arrived at the restaurant. Not a big deal but maybe something to look into, as it could impact business. Would definitely come back!

Best place in town! The whole crew works as a team and it was such a pleasant experience. The food was also phenomenal. I'll be coming here more often!

My girlfriend and I went there on a Thursday night with another couple. The food was amazing and very fairly priced. I would suggest trying it for yourself.

We saw this place walking by and decided to go in and we'll definitely be back!! It was the perfect date night and the food was delicious. The servers were fun and accomodating. We ordered a bunch of rolls, edamame, and the crab rangoons - everything was bomb! My favorites were the blue moon roll & the enterprise roll :) I also got a yummy dragon fruit cocktail, which was dangerously good, and we loved the water across the street. We heard them doing fun songs for birthdays behind us too. All around a great night!

First of all the service was OUTSTANDING! Our server took care of us but also the other gentleman that was there kept checking on us and suggested his favorite item. The food was very tasty. We ate sushi rolls as well as hibachi. We were expecting the hibachi to be made in front of us like we are use to however it wasn’t. But don’t misunderstand me. It was still very good and flavorful being made in the kitchen. We ordered a lot of food because we just couldn’t decide what we wanted and we were not disappointed.

Great little sushi spot! Excellent service, everyone is very nice and the food is delicious. We ordered the Dinosaur 🦕 roll, jalapeño wonton and a Wildflower drink. The accent wall is cool, over 100 years old. I recommend stopping by if you are in the area!

Food was very good! Our group of 4 collectively had appetizers, poke, hibachi, and sushi. The average we spent per person was high because of all we got but they are reasonable and portions are perfect! Crab Rangoon are the best we all have ever had!! Please don’t ever change them! Lol server was very kind and friendly. Also the passion fruit lemonade was refreshing! Will absolutely come back and this is over an hour away from where we live. Came here from being in the Starved Rock area.

Love the friendly staff and engagement. The plum Sake hands down super delicious and smooth it pairs so well with Sushi rolls. I ordered the Dinosaur rolls. Presentation was amazing and inviting!! I recommend you come in and give them a try! You wont be disappointed!

My family went yesterday for my daughter's birthday. Her favorite food is sushi so we've tried dozens of resturants over the years and she proclaims that this place was the best. My other girl got the dumplings and she absolutely loved them. The staff were wonderful and my glass was never left empty, which was a huge bonus.

This is a hidden gem! I loved the sushi, tbh is the best sushi I've ever had. I really love the dinosaur one. The atmosphere is great too, feels super cozy and the service was superb. Very caring and friendly. Totally recommend this place. I'm so glad the restaurant I was planning to go originally was closed lol. The only thing is I wish they had more original cocktails and the ones we tried were good, but wish they were as good as the food.

The food is always so amazing. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out.

This place is amazing. We sat at the bar and Sushi Chef Joe prepared our outstanding rolls, sushi and sashimi. My wife and I ate the Koi River Roll, Demon King Roll, Spider Roll, Yellow Tail Sashimi, and Crab Claw Sushi.

You won’t find a better authentic Japanese restaurant in the valley, in the suburbs or probably in Chicago. We have eaten sushi all over the US and even in Japan. Joe has it down.
I also had HIBIKI Japanese Harmony Whisky, it has a honey like sweetness, candied orange peel, white chocolate and finishes with a Japanese oak. This Is a flavorful whisky without The Burn. I Highly Recommend It!

Sushi Chef Joe is an expert Sushi Chef that teaches other sushi chefs. The seaweed he uses is top-notch as well the fresh fish. You won’t find better rolls, sushi, or sashimi anywhere in my humble opinion.

We have not tried the hibachi, we will next time, and I will update the review.

Update: We ate there again last night and had a hibachi combination. It's AWESOME, the steak was cooked perfectly, along with the chicken and shrimp. We also had a dragon roll, Phoenix roll, and Koi River Roll. Perfect sushi.

absolutely loved this place. didn't have a reservation and still got seated immediately even tho place was busy. staff super friendly and manager was great as well. ambiance and decor were gorgeous. definitely will be going back for the delicious sushi and rolls!

Visited Koy for the first time yesterday. Both the food and service were excellent. The portion size was extremely generous. We will definitely go back.

I just went here with a friend yesterday. I had the Hibachi combo. It was fabulous. The salad before the meal was so good. The sweet iced tea was refreshing. I will definitely go back.

Great service! Very authentic! Japanese sushi and noodles. The menu was easy to look at. Waiter and staff was friendly. The fried pork dumplings were delicous to start off with. Also had the ugani which was excellent as a app too! My wife had the chicken habachi and I got the miso udon noodle for main course. I give it a 9/10 on my scale excellent!! Well recommend! We will comeback very soon.
