🍨La Michoacana ice cream parlors are hot spots in the Chicago area and especially in Waukegan.

This location in particular gets jam-packed during hot summer days/nights when the kids are out of school.

Even when there's a line of people extending out the front door, the sweet treats here are awesome and my boys are well worth it.

My wife who's not Mexican but was born & raised in Honduras does get a craving for this place from time to time and when she was growing up as a child, she can sort of reminisce her youth here.

I hope this venue continues to pull in plenty of business in the coming months & years and I wish for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).🍦

Authentic Mexican ice cream, drinks and special treats. Large indoor and outdoor seating. Parking lot is small and a bit difficult to exit because you have to leave behind the building and drive past the storage facility next door. Customer service is very helpful and friendly. The lemon and cucumber juice is very refreshing.

This ice cream shop is one of the best! The flavors are incredible, from classic Rompope to Gancitos and Oreo Paletas. The ice cream is creamy and rich, and the cones are perfect. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. Whether you're enjoying a solo treat or sharing with friends, this place is a must-visit. It's the perfect spot to cool down on a hot day. 🍦🍨

Best place in town to get some ice cream. Always taste good and reasonable prices. Different flavors to chose from and alot varieties of snacks.

A very good friend of mine, Yolanda, recommended that I try their Yogur Bionico. I must say, it was extraordinarily delicious and quickly became my favorite. The combination of fresh fruit, creamy yogurt, and granola was a perfect blend of flavors and textures.

I highly recommend La Michoacana to anyone looking to experience authentic Mexican treats. Be sure to try the Yogur Bionico – it's a standout item on their menu for me!

Delicious! So many flavors to choose from and so many choices to eat from.

The only thing this place needs is a menu it would be so much easier to order stuff the signs are not very informative plus rarely you see a price with a picture your up to the merchant to scare you away with the total for ice cream......

I have nvr had a problem with this place I love everything they have to offer good food fruit nvr spoiled

I don't know if you can say dessert is healthy, I will have to say this dessert is healthy. If you want dessert for breakfast or lunch or dinner this would be the place to go. It isn't just Ice Cream, it's fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, fresh juices, fresh yogurt, nuts, granola and fresh whipped cream. The staff was very accommodating, I bought our deserts and left without taking pictures. They let me come back in at closing time and take a few shots. Their product is extremely delicious, the presentation is excellent. I can't say enough good things about this location. it's just not a typical business in this area. The American take on classic ethnic snack and dessert fare, combined with the ethnic take on classic American snack and dessert fare, is original here. This gem of a shop will put a smile on the most stalwart curmudgeons face, LOL. Everyone needs to stop in and enjoy!

Great place with amazing food and desserts 😁. Great customer service very friendly and helpful. Place is well decorated and even have an area for our children 🥰. Feels like a safe space for my family and great food ❤

It's a chill place to enjoy some cold dessert. They have quite a variety to chose from, a lot of Mexican cuisine. There's also a lady who sells homemade trinkets at one of the tables, which is pretty cool. They do get busy on hot days, so expect a wait to get your treats. I will say that their mangoes are not ripe when they serve them. I've gotten a mixed fruit cup multiple times and every time their mangoes were near rock solid. Other than that, the place is great to enjoy on a late afternoon.

Soon as you walk in you get that fresh fruit smell smacking you in the face. Plenty options. Gotta check this place out

The Best Natural Waters , ice cream , sweet corn and tortas

Best flavor in my opinion is the agua fresa (water strawberry). Man it's the greatest thing ever! Every time I've come here with my wife and friends we all have a great time. The ice cream is delicious and the prices are great. Sometimes it's super busy but the line moves fast. I forgot to take a pic because i ate my cone right away before realizing I hadn't taken one for a review.
