People's Pierogi

Wow - these pierogi are killer. Got the polish plate: cheese sausage with kraut and 4 pierogi. Cheese and potato pierogi are a solid staple but was lucky enough to try the limited edition flavour that day, buffalo chicken - it was out of sight! Normally non traditional pierogi flavours miss in my opinion, but each one was a hit. Also tried the breakfast pierogi which were sensational.
They have a table well stocked with a variety of local mustards and toppings which I also fell in love with, and made sure to visit the vendor who supplies the horseradish mustard for some of my own!

People’s Pierogi Collective is a good stall in Eastern Market that moves indoors during the winter. Tried the potato, corned beef, and spinach and artichoke pierogis. They’re cooked-to-order, and you can order uncooked pierogis to go, as well.

Really surprised. Vegetarian mushroom were packed with well cutup mushroom and they are great size too. Some other places just fill them with the cheaper ingredients like potatoes. Really happy with first purchase. Need to find out if the sweet cheese is vegetarian or has animal rennet (bones) in the cheese like most cheeses do.

PPC catered our wedding with 2 other food trucks. They. Were. Amazing. EVERYONE loved the food and the pierogi were the biggest hit. Not only is the team awesome to work with but the food is just so good. Highly recommended for any event that needs food! Thank you PPC! We will be coming to Eastern Market the next time we’re in Michigan to take some of these home!!!

I've been getting food from PPC at the Eastern Market for the better part of 2 years now. Customers can get fresh cooked pierogis at the Market, or do what we do and purchase a frozen pack of pierogis to take home! They're really good, low maintenance comfort food to come home to on a busy day. Quick fry on both sides and then 10 min in an oven at 400 degrees

Our household favorites include traditional potato and cheese, spinach and artichoke, jalapeno, and bufflo.

we had never had pierogi prior to this experience, and found them to be fabulous! they gave good direction on how to prepare and serve. we purchased a variety and look forward to having more soon--ty so much.

Great local shop. Grab some pierogis and wander the market! I’d recommend the corn beef ones and some jalapeño poppers.

I ordered the plate ... cheese sausage, delicious not sloppy saurercraut n I tried all pierrogis. I recommend the spinach. Yum.

Love the buffalo chicken pierogi and the breakfast pierogi! They have so many fun flavors to choose from!

My husband and I visited People's Pierogi while at the Eastern Market.

It is a very busy spot, right near one of the entrances. The smell was absolutely amazing as you walked by.

We opted to share the Polish plate, which included your choice of a cheese filled or plain kielbasa on a bun, sauerkraut, sour cream and your choice of three pierogies. We opted for a plain kielbasa with one each of a cheddar and potato, spinach and artichoke and kielbasa pierogy.

For $13, the value was amazing. It was absolutely enough food to fill both of us up.

The pierogies were nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The dough was a bit thicker than homemade, but still very tasty. The fillings all had incredible flavour. The meat filling was nice to try, however I preferred the more traditional potato and cheddar, as well as the unique and creamy artichoke filling.

The kielbasa had a great flavour, but was just a bit dry.

While it was very busy, the pickup process was fairly streamlined and easy, and there was enough room to stop at the side table for extra condiments, cutlery and napkins.

Overall, we were both very happy with our meal. I recommend trying People's Pierogies as a pit stop during your shopping adventures at the Eastern Market!

Relatively long line but it moves and it's efficient. Frozen and fresh are delicious. I liked the corn beef & swiss, and jalapeno popper.

Did not try the pierogies but the cheddar sausage was great. Staff friendly and efficient. Went during flower day at the Eastern Market
