Been meaning to leave this review for a while. I ordered a more budget-friendly board from Adam, over the phone to have it shipped to RI. He was waiting for it to arrive to the shop. After a couple months (pandemic related shipping issues) it finally arrived and he promptly sent it on to me. During this time Adam was corresponding frequently, keeping me posted on status. When the board got to me it was completely destroyed and unusable. The delivery driver said someone drove a forklift through it ... at least once. Anyway, I took pics, sent to Adam and sent it back to his shop. Without hesitation, he was on the phone with the delivery company and quickly set in motion a replacement. About a month later that replacement arrived and Adam, instead of shipping it again and risking another issue, suggested we meet in the middle. He drove 3 - 4 hours round trip out of his way to make sure I got the replacement board without issue. Again, this is one of the cheaper boards he sells and I am a first-time, infrequent customer. Even with all the issues, this was one of the best experiences I've had buying a surfboard ... for that matter anything. Adam went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. I highly recommend Adam Mar. He and his shop/team will treat you right.

Great little shop. Owner is super friendly. I make it a point to stop in and purchase something every time I am in town. Peace pants are all that and then some. Has a vibe that seems to have been lost in Montauk in recent years.

My husband and I visit Montauk every year, and always enjoy trying new places that open since our last visit. This season we discovered a special clothing boutique and met the delightful owner by the same name, Adam Mar. Adam is a handsome and talented young man. He designs the men’s clothing he sells, and there is also fashionable women’s clothing available. We also found lovely household items that make terrific and useful gifts. The shop is beautifully decorated and there is plenty of parking. We made several meaningful purchases and look forward to following Adam Mar online and visiting next year.
