Birch's on the Lake Brewhouse & Supperclub

I'm surprised by the 4.2 Stars and after reading some of the negative reviews, perhaps we just got really lucky, because I thought everything was excellent!! My aunt, cousin and I went during Winter Restaurant Week (I know, a little late in my review) and we ordered different entrees from the prefix menu and
every dish was so so good! My aunt loved her fish tacos, my cousin loved her vegan bowl and my chicken and fries entree was so bomb!! My chicken was tender and moist and my fries crunchy! We sat by the window with an incredible view of the lake. The desserts were to die for and my beer flight was tasty! Mind you I'm writing this from memory from 2 months ago and can still remember how delicious everything was. My mouth is watering right now as I write this review. Oh, the manager or owner stopped by our table to say hello so we thought that was nice. :)

A mind blowing brew house with a beautiful view of lake- Long lake. They have Live music, great food, lovely service and mind blowing view to share. The place is casual to visit with friends and family. We had crab and artichoke dip, fries along with the seasonal Mexican beer which was stunning and the cherry on the top was the dessert, a perfect piece to close our date night 😊 I would love to visit this place again on warmer weather and sit in the open tables close to the lake.

This restaurant in a stand-alone building right on the lake with ample parking space and even valet parking. It's the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a special celebration.
The interior of Birch's exudes a cozy, clean, and tasteful decor that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. What truly sets it apart is the low noise level, allowing for intimate conversations and a relaxed dining experience.
The staff is incredibly attentive, friendly, and well-versed in the menu. They provided excellent recommendations and made sure our dining experience was one to remember. Their dedication to making guests feel welcome is truly outstanding.
Birch's offers a delightful fusion of American and Italian dishes, with an extensive menu featuring everything from succulent steaks to delectable seafood and fresh salads. We sampled a variety of dishes, and each one was a flavor explosion. The presentation is on par with upscale dining venues, and the portion sizes are incredibly generous; you definitely won't leave hungry.
Birch's also boasts an impressive beer selection, and their cocktails are top-notch. The prices range from $30 to $50, which is well worth it for the quality of food and service you receive.

We had a table of 19 and the manager was very accommodating. The staff were absolutely fantastic and we never saw a bottom of a glass. We explored many of the menu options from the short rib tacos to the lobster rolls. Everyone agreed that the food was a 10/10. Bold and beautiful flavors! The presentation was also beautiful and not lacking. The relish tray like most supper clubs have, was also a pleasant experience with a cheese pâté, boiled egg, sweet pickles, potato salad and more. The ambience was 2nd to none and we will be back for a date night as it has a really romantic feel. We are a loud Minnesotan family that enjoys family and friends. We were embraced by patrons and staff. Everything was enjoyable and beautiful. We will definitely be back.

We had a group of 8 and not a single person was disappointed. The service was amazing - extremely pleasant, quick to assist, just perfect all around. Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Speaking for me - I had the Mediterranean salad add chicken and it was vibrant, fresh, and full of flavor. The restaurant itself is a beautiful setting that is rustic yet chic and affords amazing lake views. We weren’t even seated in a table with a view but that didn’t matter because the ambiance was enough to please on its own. Truly here you will find a five star experience - I am confused by some of the previous bad reviews, perhaps someone was having a bad day.

First time here on a warm day 11 October 2022.

We sat outside overlooking the lake. Great lunch with walleye sandwiches, and fries with the local IPA. Doesn't get a whole lot better.

Lunch February 14, 2024. Lunch was great, slightly disappointed that brisket was no longer on the menu. Chocolate cake for dessert was too big for two people, but wonderful.

Warm and inviting dining room with great elevated views of Long Lake. The menu is all over the board offering things like cheese curds and tacos alongside options like Lobster Risotto and Beef Wellington, review before you visit. Service was exceptional adding to the overall experience. Recommend checking them out if you’re in the area, we’ll be back.

Went back to visit the Brewhouse downstairs for Happy Hour. Fabulous beers and incredible specials - it’s a must!

Had a rough start to our dinner last night, but it was quickly & professionally handled correctly by management and our server. The food & drinks were fabulous & the atmosphere was top notch! I highly recommend the Crab Artichoke Dip app & the Halibut. Our desserts were excellent, we ordered the Crème Brûlée & Pumpkin Cheesecake. Beautiful view of the Lake as well! A must visit restaurant for the Wayzata area :)

Always fantastic service! Katie and Marty are friendly and make a great cocktail! Food is always good! The hosts are very welcoming and friendly as well. Definitely will be back.

We have been here several times. Love the atmosphere, especially during the summer months. We love the patio and the view of the lake. Oysters and flatbreads are highly recommended.

We were in a private room for a baby shower . It is a beautiful location on the water - great views and cozy decor. What stood out the most was our waiter - Chris . He was so attentive and managed all, almost 20 of us, by himself with amazing calmness and patience…practically reading our minds for our needs . We will definitely be going back again and, if Chris is working, we will ask for him … as I would recommend you to do the same! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!! The Berns’s.

Very exceptional dinner club dining atmosphere with extremely attentive friendly staff. Great food and service. Quite a high priced dinner date for two though. $175 for 3 alcoholic drinks, an appetizer, 2 entrees, a cup of tea, and a shared dessert.

This is a wonderful place to have a decent meal and good beer/wine, while overlooking the lake. The service is fairly slow, but that is fine. It is nice to enjoy the view, while enjoying the sound of the patio.

The food is average, cost is above average, but commercial lake real estate is expensive and seating is limited. We had a nice time.

First time here and the place did not disappoint! We came in late on a Sunday so there's not a lot of people.

I started with the sautéed calamari and it was delicious then I had the salmon quinoa bowl which was also very good. My husband had the classic bolognese which was also very good. Too bad I forgot to take pictures of them (too hungry)!
For dessert, we had the chocolate stout cake and the crème brûlée apple pudding which were both delish!
Lastly, all the staff were very friendly!
My husband and I both decided this is one of our favorite places we'be been!

We went to Birch's for brunch. The food and service were both excellent. We had a table by a window so we had a really nice view as well. Our waitress was prompt, friendly, and intuitive. We had a great brunch, I highly recommend Birch's and will definitely be back.

This is a really nice relaxing place with the best lake view of Long Lake.
The food is pretty good too. I haven't had anything I didn't like. They are known for their fried chicken and I don't eat chicken on the bone. Here, I did and a friend said that must be some pretty good fried chicken if you ordered it. It really was good. I also have the mushroom flatbread as well as the prime rib eggs benedict. The people are friendly and it has a "day at the cabin" feel about the place. It's relaxing and it's like you're in the country. Sometimes they have a fire going outdoors. The mac and cheese is really good as well.

Great experience in a group of 10. Service was excellent, everyone enjoyed their meals. Even on a cloudy gray day the view of the lake is still nice. Be hungry when you come or enjoy leftovers. The portions were huge.

Amazing food! Try the walleye cakes. And George is one of the best artists I’ve listened to live, this guy knows his stuff. They have an outdoor patio, access to the lake, and great bartenders. Try the martini, it’s killer. The lobster risotto is killer.

Very grateful we stumbled upon this place. Beautiful supper club in the upper level and casual brewery-with full menu- in the lower level. Can’t say enough how we enjoyed the food and service here. Kiddos to our bartender Jason👏👏

This is our go-to for a date night.
The beer made on-site is fantastic and they offer great Mock-tails as well.
