Ball Ground Tavern

We loved our SW Veggie Bowl. The portions were just right, the beans and vegetables were delicious, and there was just the right amount of rice. We definitely recommend this meal to vegetarians and it can be modified easily for vegans. The staff were all very friendly and the restaurant & restrooms were clean. A yummy place to eat before going to Gibbs Gardens. We definitely plan on coming back again when in town.💗

This quaint little tavern is in Ballground Square. We came for alate lunch Saturday and were seated immediately the service was great the food is delicious with a home cooked vibe. I got the chicken tortilla soup which was a generous portion served with Spanish rice on the side and lime and tortilla crisps. So yummy on a chilly day. I would return for sure to try the homemade empanadas!

Only been open a week. Good burger and fries. Wife had the Southwest bowl and said it was good. They need to fix some of the listed prices on the menu: beer was listed as $15, when it was actually $6. I am sure they will smooth things out in a few more weeks. Glad to have a new place in Ball Ground.

We had a delightful experience here this evening! The young lady who served us was cheerful and friendly and very helpful! The adult beverages were cold and tasteful! The wings 😋 so delicious and the burger and onion rings scrumptious! We ate on the back deck and it was so enjoyable! Kudos BGT for a job well done!

Opening March 11, 2022!

March 25, we stopped in for dinner and really enjoyed our visit. The service was great, the time from being seated, ordering and being served was great too.

Our food was good, I had the Mexican Burger and it was tasty and a good size. Maybe a little more guacamole on it would have been better.

Definitely going back!

My new fav hang out. Pup friendly. Beautiful back patio with awesome food, drinks and friendly staff. The cocktails to-go’s are fabulous incentive to stick around the easy walkable community of stores and music on the green.

Dined in, and opted to sit at the bar for a late dinner on Wednesday. We walked in about 20 minutes before close, but called first to verify it wasn’t too late to dine in. They just opened, so their kitchen close time may change in future - be sure to check.
I had the southwest bowl with steak. Absolutely delightful, will definitely order again. Generous portion, good balance of ingredients and not too heavy on the sauce. Well seasoned. ⭐
Husband had the burger. It was good, but the standards for burgers in downtown Ball Ground are pretty high. It was a yummy, quality, well put together burger with a normal set of toppings.
The fries stood out to me a little more than the burger - they had an interesting tartness that reminded me of vinegar salt. Delish.

It’s a little place but it has a full bar and really good food. I would imagine the back patio is a lot of fun in the warmer months. It is nice to have businesses that stay open a little later on the weekends in town. Give them a try! We will definitely be back.

Friend did their birthday celebration here. Staff was fantastic and so knowledgeable of all the wines we tied, including the background of vineyards, some of the best brands from various regions, and other factors impacting wine distribution. Snack food was outstanding!

We have never been to ball ground and the ball ground tavern exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing, the service was fast and everyone here is so friendly! I wish I lived closer to come here more often. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re ever around this area!

My friend and I came here on a Friday evening looking for something new. We definitely will be coming back. The back patio/bar is a nice place to chill and enjoy the evening. The nachos were fantastic and the tacos were great as well. Definitely recommend.

This place is outstanding and a great addition to BG downtown. Great atmosphere, service and food. I also enjoy the outdoor atmosphere.

Had a lovely evening at Ball Ground Tavern. It was our first time and we sat on the patio to hear the live music. I loved my margarita flight and I ate my nachos and tamales before I was able to take a photo. The staff was very attentive and we will most definitely be back.

I was traveling through Ball ground and stopped into this place to grab a bite to eat. It is a really cool place. I’m glad a stumbled across it. Very friendly service. Felt very welcomed and comfortable to be there. I ordered the Mexican burger. It was very good. Highly recommend. Everyone was very nice and friendly. A must try place.

Good food, drinks, service and atmosphere. We got some old fashioneds, bloody Marys and nachos. All very good. I would eat here again.

Went for Lunch - Southwest Bowl with Shrimp. Good amount of shrimp on a Bed of salad, rice and beans on the bottom. Very tasteful and plenty....great cider!

I want them to be recognized for the cool place it is but also don't want everyone to know about it because I like the personal service and attention I get there. This is the the "Cheers" environment we are all looking for but can't find. Food is great and the bar is awesome! But seriously...don't go there.
