My favorite local spot for fresh fish. I can walk in and order Chilean sea bass. Place orders for special events for my personal favorites like Octopus, Bluepoint’s from Connecticut & scallops. Carolina Fish Market never disappoints!

Absolutely amazing fresh seafood. I've been coming here for years on a weekly basis and they always impress. This is the classic smaller meat & fish market that locals crave. If you're a grocery store seafood buyer, you'll never go back to the grocery store like I haven't for my seafood. If I'm entertaining, there is no better steak than what they have. It's far better than anything I've eaten at Del Frisco's, Ruth Chris or Sullivan's. Are they perfect, no, but neither is Whole Foods. It's a small business and the owner is onsite and super friendly. Enjoy your new favorite spot to buy meats and seafood.

We bought the sea bass and red snapper. Fresh fish and they gave us a bag of ice to help us keep it cool until we got home. Great service and experience - see you next weekend!

I've been to several fish/ meat markets in the area and no one has the same freshness or selection as Carolina Fish Market. They are super friendly & helpful, without being in your face trying to make a sale. Their Chilean Sea Bass is the best I've ever had! It's the only place I'll go now when I'm ready to splurge for an amazing dinner.

The new owner (DJ) took my call and got me the two freshest whole red snapper the day after I called. Incredibly helpful, the staff is friendly, and the store very clean. I used to drive to Charleston to buy fish..no more. Thank you!

This place had the freshest, most beautiful fish I have had in a long time. Price was less expensive than Whole Foods, and the quality was as good or better. Don’t judge the store visual. It’s under new management.

I have been shopping at Carolina Meat & Fish Co. since they opened. So grateful to have a place here in South Charlotte where you can go and buy really fresh fish (not frozen and thawed out) that is of outstanding quality at very fair prices. We have gone from eating fish once every several weeks to twice a week, and this shop is our go spot. You won't be disappointed! Friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Their Linz steaks are great too!

Can't say enough good things about Carolina Fish. Been traveling to this fish market since we moved to Charlotte 9 years ago and have been very satisfied. Meat and fish are always great. Staff are very friendly and accommodating and Jim is a great guy. I have gotten a number of my neighbors to buy here also and they are all happy with this business.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great selection of steaks and the only place in Charlotte to get actual fresh NC seafood. Ask if you don't see something, they can order it for you.

I love Carolina Meat & Fish Co! They have a wide variety of ultra fresh seafood often with some of the hard things to find such as stone crab claws, softshell crabs, and hard shell crabs. They are our go-to for delicious steaks. We also love their Sous-vide chicken breasts (already cooked) which are tender and well-seasoned and, best of all, they keep in the refrigerator for a good period, so they are there when we want them...a great staple.

The seafood boil bags are amazing and the meat outstanding!

This was the 7th Christmas seafood order in a row from Carolina Meat & Fish and as always, it was of the utmost quality. The shrimp were extremely fresh and the clams were also fresh and delicious! This is by far the best seafood in the Charlotte area.

I had a wonderful experience at the fish market today! I was given exceptional customer service by the two girls behind the counter, Jamison, and I didnt get the name of the other girl. She had a blue sweatshirt on though. Those girls deserve raises!!! I LOVE THE FISH MARKET :)

Great shopping spot! We bought soft shell crabs and happily feasted on them that night. The staff was helpful and friendly. We were pleased to see some unique new products and foods you just don't see in standard grocery stores, too!

Best brisket I've ever cooked. We got the angus brisket and the owner trimmed it down to a size we could fit into our smoker. The brisket was amazing. Best ever. I tried some different grades at other places and it just wasn't the same.

Big fan of the fish here. We go periodically since it is not as convenient for us, but we love the variety they have and the fish has always been fresh and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.

Don't get the 1 star ratings. My opinion is those reviewers are either not real bright or they came in with preconceived notions or intent, maybe both. That said, I was born & raised in eastern NC (New Bern) and have enjoyed good oysters my entire life of 64 years. I purchased a 100 count from Carolina Meat & Fish a week before Christmas and they provided a superior bunch of select Tidewater Runners, albeit, through Middle Sound Mariculture. Plump, briny, clean, very tasty, and, most importantly, very fresh! My two 20 something year old sons fulfilled their heritage and consumed them. It was one of our happier 2020 moments to say the least. Thanks to the VERY HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE staff that helped me. GREAT JOB CMF! Oh, and try the ocean scallops as well from there, you will be very happy you did.
